The staff at Ago are always great. A favorite of my family for a decade.
One of my favorite restaurant great service great food I would highly recommend it
The scenery was nice but the food was pretty bland. For the price we were very underwhelmed.
saw Lebron James, food and service was amazing per usual. 10/10
Probably the worst Italian meal I have ever had. The chicken parm looked like a pizza and was really dry. The pasta tasted like old expired out of the box pasta. The meatballs tasted like the kind you get in the freezer section of a grocery store.
Wonderful place with delicious food
We try and make it over to Ago at least once or twice while in town for business.
If you like Italian, the food is delicious and the service is always good.
Can't go wrong, We'll be back
They where a little late seating us for our table due to how packed the place was on a Saturday night but, once we sat down every course and drink was delivered promptly and amazing. I can only really think of 3 other Italian restaurants that deliver on this level. Food is impeccable and the vibe is always perfect.
We had a reservation and waited over an hour to get seated. Only after I told the hostess that we were there for a date night and had a sitter at home did she begin to prioritize our table - we already wasted an hour of that just waiting for a table. For the record, when we arrived the hostess said it would be a 5-10min wait, I don't understand how she could be that off. We sat at an incredibly small table that did not accommodate more than 3plates. When the waiter brought our entrees, our table was full of plates from our apps and bread basket. He made us lift our many dirty plates while he set the entree plates down on the table. Kind of awkward why he wouldn't just have cleared the table first. All in, terrible terrible service, very mediocre food, and a rather old crowd not at all diversified. Not worth the wait or food or anything for that matter
That time everything was perfect !!!
Quality of food and service perfect
Food was amazing!
Best wood oven baked steak. Great wine list at good value. Excellent service
I would not recommend Ago for Valentine's Day, which was when we visited it for the first time. I have been meaning to try this place since we moved into the area three years ago and see it every time we are next door at Taste. I cannot say whether or not this would be a great place on any other night but they were not on their "A-Game" for Valentine's Day.
We showed up exactly on time for our reservations but were seated twenty minutes later.
My risotto arrived 15 minutes before my partner's osso bucco and neither were anything to write home about or justify the inflated (I hope) Valentine's Day pricing.
We had a lovely evening but could have probably had a better one at home. Perhaps that says more about going out on Valentine's Day than it does about this particular restaurant itself, nevertheless, I don't think I will be back based on this particular evening's showing.
The food is quite good, but the service is chaotic. We had to wait 20 minutes after a reservation to be seated, then another 20+ minutes to order. After that, the food took ages to arrive, and we had several incorrect plates delivered to the table by mistake. The staff were polite and apologetic, but clearly frazzled. You can't be this disorganized at this price point.
The restaurant had Great tasting food. Great drinks. Nice DJ. The Pizza is out of this world.
The food at Ago is always extremely good, extremely fresh and well prepared. The noise level can be a little bit daunting if you really want to chat with your dinner companions. We dine at Ago several times a month and my only complaint is that the service can be a little too offhand...Forgotten food, main course arriving while we’re in the middle of our appetizer, the waiter being reluctant to replace something that is wrong. These complaints not withstanding, we will still frequent the restaurant.
We had a great time and the food was very good.
It just wasn't worth it. I have had better Italian in LA
Had a good time and great food
One of my favorite places
Had to push past the smokers to enter the restaurant. Entrees took forever to arrive & the mushroom pasta was overcooked & mushy. The caprese salad tomatoes were like east coast winter tomatoes...hard and tastless. The wine glasses were like coke bottles & not worthy of the wine we bought. The waitress was very nice and gave us a dessert to try mitigate the time it took to receive our meal. The restaurant was so loud, we couldn’t even hear each other speak. VERY disappointing!
Food was good and authentic, but service was lacking
We had a business dinner and sat outside to smoke. On a beautiful night, the patio was fabulous. We had the dover sole and langoustines. Both incredible. Abel, the GM made sure we were well taken care of. Superb evening. Thank you, Ago.
Been coming here for years and years. Never a disappointment. Thanks AGO for being consistently great
Another great experience including service, flavors, and ambiance. We drive from th OC monthly we love this place so much!
Amazing appetizer with carpaccio/cheese/truffle, one of the best things I’ve ever had.
And the truffle pasta was also really good.
Ago is one of my favorite restaurants and I go to dine there often. The food is always spectacular.
Food was extremely bland. Christmas music on repeat.
Very amazing food. Service was not very good.
Consistently good place. Service is friendly, super quick and efficient and food is always great. Also extensive wine and cocktail list.
Good food, but I wouldn't pay full price for it. We had a Gilt City voucher which made it worth it.
Ago feels livelier and more fun than ever. The service is fine, the seating comforatble, and far enough away from others that one can talk, the specials always quite good. There is a real shortage of good Italian food in this zipcode, generally. Ago 's pastas and salads are perfect.
Great food everything was delicious and our waiter Eric was super friendly..
Luca our waiter was great and made the experience all so more fun
Ago was as usual, excellent. Good food and service.
I brought two New Jersey Italians to this restaurant and both were in love with their meal at the end of the night. Beautiful outdoor dining area and service was excellent.
Ago is just plain good. It has been there for 20 years, but I hadn't been there until recently when friends took me. I thoroughly enjoyed it so I decided to get a group of my friends who are food professionals to go with me. I brought a magnum of aged Burgundy. Not a normal choice with Italian food, but a really good pairing. Waiter, Mr. Garibaldi, was a real character. Patio is delightful on a beautiful fall night. Food was excellent. One pasta which sounded good with sausage was disappointing. Lasagna excellent. Pizza very good. All more than acceptable. Nice dinner. Will go back.
