The reviews are far too generous. The staff was nice, but they did get our order wrong. They handled the mistake well.

The room is nice. Fairly quiet. We had no problem talking.

The food was mediocre to slightly below average. The sushi was very thick. I never had such a thick slab of fish. It made the texture seem off. My wife felt the food was ok too.

The fish was warm and not fresh tasting. It was relatively cheap and you get more sashimi than down the street at Ajisai for its similarly priced sushi and sashimi for two, but the fish and specialty rolls are much better at Ajisai, in my opinion. They have a good selection of saki and the alcohol was moderately priced for Hell’s Kitchen. Again, though, I think the ambiance and service are better at Ajisai.

Really enjoyed our dining experience. The food was great and we thought the prices were fair. We were celebrating my birthday, and I loved it!

Food was Meh. The non-sushi food especially you was lacking in flavor. Chairs at the tables are too short, but if you trade out from one from the bar it’s better. Decent sushi but nothing amazing. And if you tell them it’s a special occasion on OpenTable I don’t acknowledge it at all I bet lacking in the customers experience

The photographer who took pictures of the food deserves an award for enhancement but the food was still good. For pre theater where you don't want to overeat, this restaurant was more than simply adequate. I would return, which I guess is all you need to know!

Excellent. Fresh and tasty. Best rainbow roll I've ever had. Generous cuts on the sushi and sashimi. Great menu.

This place was good, I'd go back. The special rolls are all a little over the top though. The fish seemed like really good quality, so I'd get some more plain rolls and ngiri if I returned.

The portions were good. The staff seemed a little busy so the service was not perfect but the food was delicious and came out very fast. I would definitely recommend it.

Ageha is now my new go to sushi spot. I’ve been to Haru down the block a few times and have always left wanting. Ageha hits the spot for fancy rolls and value. Haru is has better ambiance, sure, but for the food, I recommend ageha.

I got to ageha after the restaurant where I had made a reservation for new year cancelled it. Best thing that happened in my life. Really good prices, I was astonished when the receipt arrived, but it is in fact the best sushi I ever tried in my life. Being foreigner, I tried several sushis at my home country and in other European too.

I had the Philadelphia roll, the spicy crunchy salmon roll and the tuna roll.
The tuna roll was disgusting.
The spicy crunchy salmon roll was ok, but not spicy and not so crunchy.
The Philadelphia roll was good.
The place is pretty nice, not so expensive.
But I won’t recommend it to my friends.

Decent, not great food. Definitely not authentic Japanese (in fact, all the workers are actually Chinese). The quality of sashimi is good, most sushi is the contemporary "firecracker" type stuff, if you're in to that. Menu includes pad Thai and a variety of other Asian dishes.

Went to Ageha on a Friday night - we were looking for good sushi and were not disappointed.

It wasn't the most romantic setup (as was obvious from the outside as we walked up), which wasn't helped by the upbeat pop music and service. Although not rude, the servers were very quick and efficient in their interactions with us. It's not the type of place to ask them for a recommendation.

Onto the food: we shared a couple of plates, including the yummy pizza and yummy roll (both of which live up to the name) and the fire salmon (delicious, but very rich). I had the house hot sake and enjoyed it. I wouldn't call myself a good judge between good and bad sake, but this went down smoothly.

Overall it was a great value for money and I would recommend it for good sushi on a budget and a casual setting for dinner with friends.

Atmosphere was casual and inviting. Quiet enough to chat and quite a fun menu to look over. Food was delicious, every bite a treat. Our server was a bit hard to communicate with but very gracious and attentive. Great place for after the show.

Ageha is in a great location and the staff are friendly. Their sushi and sashimi were good. Calamari was perfectly cooked. Pad thai was sweet and I could do without. Overall a nice place to visit.

Clean and inviting restaurant. The sushi was fresh, great specialty rolls. The sushi pizza is a must! Don't be concerned about the size of photo in menu, it's not that big, more like personal pan size but perfect for sharing appetizer. The service was very attentive. The tempura fried cheesecake is worth the extra calories! Highly recommend this restaurant. We will absolutely be back!

Pretty good. The staff was really sweet. The menu for 2 was enough surprisingly (I'm a big eater). The tea and the orange at the end were a nice touch. Overall we really liked it, the only problem was that the sushis didn't have enough rice

We like Ageha. It's cheap. The food is pretty good. The wait staff is great, but they don't know what wines are on their menu. Mostly house. Avoid the cabernet. Good value. Not too busy ever. Extensive food menu.

Oddly, OT indicated they had several time slots available..... when we got there early we were told they were closing soon. So the entire experience seemed very rushed.... plus the meal seemed like we were getting the end of the day remnants. It wasn't awful... just wasn't good either. I would have given it one star..... But the app wouldn't let me rank it that low.

We walked in and the place spelled unusually strong of fish - more than is typical for a sushi restaurant. We decided to overlook. Our cold plates were not cold - the salmon appetizer tasted fake and like it had sat out for a long time. Our sushi roll was hot and mushy even though there werent any warm ingredients! Lastly we ordered pineapple fried rice and even that was bad. Very bland. The chicken tasted like rubber and the rice was completely textureless. We did not finish and left and had dinner at thai yum yum instead. Terrible!
