The food was the best I have had since before COVID hit. Nothing has satisfied any eating out for the money I have spent until now. We had the Ribeye and Salmon! Very nice atmosphere and quiet.

Severely under-staffed. Poor management and oversight. They get in their own way at the expense of guest experience. They try, but miss the mark.

We were seeing a concert in a nearby theater, and chose this place for its proximity. We didn’t realize it was part of a hotel, so the ambiance, while fine, was a little lacking in personality. The waiter, Jon, was amiable and responsive. The food was was tasty and well-prepared, and the drinks were well-made. TBH, if I were staying at the hotel, I’d be thrilled with this restaurant. But Santa Fe has loads of restaurants, and I would probably choose one with more personality.

They had no service staff. The bartender was called in on his day off to help wait tables. The wait time was absurd. The person they called in to help was good and he did everything humanly possible to help. He just faced an impossible situation. Customers were so upset that several got up and left, others never received the entrees they ordered. I never did see a manager or assistant manager anyone could speak with….they appeared MIA. My wife and I were one of the few lucky ones to eventually get our food.

Unfortunately, they only had one server that night who was trying his best. They didn’t have the entree we ordered and when second choice arrived, the salmon was not cooked as ordered and overall, poor quality meal. What has happened to Agave? We have chosen it in the past before going to a Lensic performance. Not again.

We sat at the bar for dinner. Robert was very attentive. We ordered a flat bread and a wedge salad to split. Both were excellent and filling. It was a quiet night in the bar. I’m sure it’s a bit noisier when full. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there. It’s a beautiful hotel and bar.

The overall experience was ok. They were short staffed, as everyone seems to be lately. We were there to celebrate our anniversary, which was put on the reservation. At the end of our main course the waiter brought our check right away and didn't even offer a dessert menu. We felt like they wanted us out ASAP. Disappointed.....
