The service was great and they were very accommodating. Unfortunately, food is over priced and very salty. The atmosphere was also extremely loud so you could barely hear the person in front of you
For some reason, our dinner outside of the restaurant on the street was not as good as it should have been. We have been going to Agave for years and this time the kitchen and bar disappointed. Drinks were not nearly as good as usual and our dinner was arrived at our table slightly above room temperature. Also, the guacamole was not nearly as good as it normally is. Hopefully, this was just one bad night for Agave, and things will get better.
Food and drinks were so bad wow
Brunch was a pleasant experience. The food and drinks were good and service was good
Delicious and Fun as always, thanks for having my friends and me. :)
It was my birthday and I raved about this place to my friends. The service this day was nonexistent. We ordered the bottomless drinks which were never refilled. We also never got more water. One of our meals came late and we never got anything we asked for (ie. sauces, drinks, and water refills). Then at the end of the meal, the waiter argued about the quality of the service. Afterwards, we all had stomach aches and felt poorly the rest of the night. This place was a yearly tradition for my friends and I when they come in town. But we will not be going back.
Great drinks great staff great service
My date and I were sitting in the enclosed patio space (not outside by the street) and saw a mouse. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to move to another area, but our appetites were a bit ruined so we stuck with just chips and guac. Nice staff but I wouldn’t go again.
Initially, we were sat in an “overflow” room for Cinco de Mayo, that unlike the high end and sophisticated design of the actual restaurant (which I’ve been to enough times), had walls painted neon orange, fluorescent lighting, concrete floors and plastic tables with plastic cups and plastic silverware / cutlery. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks, but the noise level in this overflow room was so terrible, we asked to be moved to a table outside in the cold rain. Once seated outside, we ordered our entrees, and an hour later, the food hadn’t arrived because the kitchen was “backed up”. We ended up sitting for over 2 hours with no food, just two rounds of drinks and an overall horrific experience. When our food finally came, we took it to go and ate at our separate homes at 11 pm. NEVER AGAIN.
This was my second visit to Agave. The food and drinks were made well. I was disappointed to discover that the happy hour specials were suspended due to Cinco de Mayo, for that was my initial motivation for going.
This restaurant was awesome in the day, but now it's a drinking/taco factory. I guess everyone's gotta make money. We went for dinner and it took ages to find out that they were only serving the brunch menu. This is at 6:45PM on a Saturday. We did not want tacos but that's what we were left with because everything else was brunchy. I hope they go back to what Agave was like years ago.
A great place for bottomless drinks! Very expensive and the service is awful, but we weren’t in a rush so we didn’t mind. Overall a nice place for brunch.
My food came undercooked. The floors were incredibly dirty and disgusting. The drinks were horrendous.
I used to love this place but brunch is not the same as it was pre Covid. It took 30 minutes after we sat down to get a server and the bottomless margs were probably the weakest drinks I've ever had. Would not go back
Our waiter was Justin and he was more than amazing in bringing us our food and drinks. The food was soooo good as well!!! 10/10
Fine, but not good or great.
Food isnt as good as it used to be, took a lot of the good items off the menu. Waitress was horrible. Used to be my go to brunch spot but not anymore!
We had a great time. Drinks were pretty strong esp for only $30.
People were seated less than two feet away from my table with no partition between the tables. I did not feel safe sitting so close to strangers during a pandemic, especially because there were so many other open seats. The food was okay, nothing special. The service was okay as well, but could have definitely been more attentive. I wouldn’t return.
Waiting over an hour and 1/2 for our food. Drinks too forever too. Insane.
Great brunch fun patrons really delicious food I would recommend
Good place for Sunday AM brunch with 4 friends outside on a sunny morning!
I was extremely disappointed with my experience tonight at agave restaurant. The service was probably some of the worst I’ve ever experienced in all my years dining out. We were a large party so I expected things to take a bit longer however our server completely forgot to put in our dinner order. After waiting almost an hour I went to look for him to find that he was behind the bar and admitted to me that he had simply forgot to place our dinner order. This to me was beyond unacceptable. It was so bad that half our party decided to cancel the food order and left because it had simply taken too long. The manager did comp us a round of shots which was a nice gesture however that did not excuse for the fact that we were completely forgotten about and half our party left without even being served dinner. I feel that our entire tab should have been compared due to this huge misstep on the part of the restaurant. It’s a shame too because the food that we did have was very good. I would absolutely never return to agave and would encourage others not to frequent this eatery as well. I sincerely hope that my feedback is taken very seriously. Thank you.
Great food and drinks. I wish the service was a little bit better and more attentive - felt like we were constantly calling our waitress over.
Would like some outdoor music
Too loud and understaffed
The food, drinks and service were all amazing and priced very well. Wish there was some music but overall will definitely be returning!
It’s was okay, over priced typical. Got French fries for brunch instead of home fries and wasn’t asked. Portions were average and drinks too for the price I expected more.
The food was amazing I got the quesadillas (which I don’t normally get) because I saw another table get it and it did not disappoint. The bottomless margaritas were delish and my friends and I had a great time
Service took so long, we thought they forgot about us.
went to brunch with a friend. food and drinks were just ok. I would definitely go back for dinner
Was at the restaurant for 2.5 hours and our food never came despite us asking for an update on it numerous times. Eventually gave up and left without eating. Ambiance and drinks were good but not worth it for the service.
Their menu has gone through a drastic change post COVID. No more steak and eggs, no more desert and things seem pricier than before. We paid $30 extra for bottomless drinks but had to keep looking for the waiter for refills every half hour or so because he rarely came to our table. It used to be my favorite spot, but I won't be going back. Hopefully others have a better experience than I did.
Our waiter Roman was great!
We sat outside (no heaters), and it took at least 20 minutes to get a drink order in. Margaritas were watered down. Then it took a very long time to order our dinner. We had to keep chasing down our server - it wasn't his fault; they were clearly understaffed outside. Food was mediocre at best. And then it took forever and a day to get the check while we were freezing cold outside. Not sure why they don't have heaters. I know this is an excruciating time for restaurants, but this one needs to up its game a bit.
Loved the ambience, felt like I was on vacation in Mexico. Great drinks
It was great food was delicious and the drinks were on point I love this place
Food was amazing and it was cute and socially distanced but our waitress was awful. She never bothered to check if we needed anything and rolled her eyes when he asked her for another drink.
Not a good experience
I am Agave’s number one fan but my experience this past weekend wasn’t the best. They had a limited menu so the food quality was not up to normal standards and then the service was very poor! I also booked us indoor dining a month before the reso and we ended up sitting in the covered patio with rain dripping on us from the ceiling! I will be back with hope that the menu will return to normal soon and only if I can sit inside!
