Great as always! A neighborhood gem! Great for crowds!
Always a great brunch!
It was a spacious, solid brunch spot with a generous bottomless that treated our party *very* well.
Service was awful.
Best brunch spot in NYC! I highly recommend this as your go to!
Great service always
Food and drinks were delicious. Service was great, the waitress kept refilling our drinks without needing to ask. After reading other reviews we decided to stick with the frozen margaritas. They were refreshing and strong. For food we had the Southwestern Eggs Benedict and the Sunrise Fiesta Burrito (no eggs) - so good!
If you're looking for a good time to start your day drinking fun - this is the place but if you're not careful, you'll be passed out on a park bench!
Perfect place for bottomless brunch (2 hours of unlimited margaritas is rare and incredible!). Friends were visiting from out of town and had a blast! The service was amazing and the place had overall great energy with a lot of younger people in their 20s and 30s.
The food was also delicious - I highly recommend the burrito!
Agave, it wasn’t my favorite brunch spot in nyc. It was recommended by a few friends of ours so we gave it a shot. The noise level is loud and the food is just ok. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros part of the boozy bottomless brunch pre fixe meal. They give you a choice between margarita, wine or mimosa... go for the margarita... they were on point. The mimosa was SO bad in my opinion (sour and just terrible champagne), I couldn’t finish it. It was a fun time with friends so I would definitely go back as a large group to have laughs and get drunk off of margaritas.. the food alone wouldn’t bring me back in the door.
Our server was very rude from the beginning. Did not allow anyone to finish their question and every response was negative - beginning with " i already told you ..." We paid $500 for our time there and was told to leave the table and take our drinks to the bar. When we moved to the bar to finish our drinks, the other workers began giving us rude looks and lots of attitude like we were in the way. Nothing about this place is warm and inviting. This place is insanely overrated and too small.
the food was amazing as well as the staff! we had dinner outside although i wish there was a little lighting outside. other than that everything was amazing
This was my second time dining at Agave for business. The first time we had rented the private tequila room and learned a lot about tequila and had great apps. This time I reserved a table in the main dining area for my sales team. Our waiter was awesome, even gave us handwritten step by step directions to a rooftop bar he recommended. He also checked to see if a tequila I had at the tasting was available for a cocktail. The food was amazing and everyone had a great time.
One caveat, the ladies' restroom was absolutely filthy. It smelled terrible, there was water all over the floor in both stalls, and one toilet was unusable due to a toilet paper roll and I don't know what else stuck in it. I mentioned this to our waiter but 30 minutes later when one of my colleagues went to use it, it was in the same condition.
We enjoyed our meal in the dining room downstairs and were able to get a good selection of options. There were some challenges with getting cilantro on the side and a bad wine that was replaced at no cost and no argument. Overall positive experience.
Food is always great. Service this time was a little lacking. We had to keep asking for our drinks to be refilled, yet the server was walking around with a pitcher and filling other people's glasses. This was the first time I've encountered this issue and I've been here a few times, so I'll give it a pass. But next time the service needs to be just as good as the food.
This is great place for brunch or dinner. The food is really good. They have bottomless brunch during the week starting on Wednesday’s.
The skirt steak fajitas and short rib tacos were delicious!
We have dined here several times and enjoyed our experience, but tonight was HORRIBLE. Restaurant was barely half full, but service was SUPER slow. Only saw two servers the entire meal. Our server was nowhere to be found for most of our meal. She seemed quite flustered. Appetizer was late. Drinks went unfilled. Table of 14 by us were very loud. We have had way better service and ambiance on a busy weekend than we did tonight on a slow Tuesday evening. We won’t be returning in the near future.
Wow an all around awesome experience
It was such great food it was super unfortunate that the air conditioner was not working on the hottest weekend of SUMMER OF NYC! For future they should let people know prior to arrival it is very annoying to show up to a hot restaurant
100 degrees outside and no air con!
Sunday unlimited booze brunch was definitely worth the price. Servers were attentive and efficient. However, there was no AC inside when it was 98 degrees outside. Hottest day of the summer. The host was also rude and blankly stared at us when we arrived. Definitely needs a lesson in manners.
Happy hour drinks only apply to table service, and happy hour food specials applicable only at the bar. Still, super fun time! Service was pretty good. My friend and I downed three margaritas each and they were strong and flavorful (especially the prickly pear one). I had the spinach empanadas and my friend had the duck entree. So good!!! Pretty loud with post-work crowds and sloppy groups, which is honestly a big vibe that I sometimes like
Great food and great drinks! Smaller menu but everything we had was great!
I came for dinner, and the food was just not that great, especially at the cost.
Large portion sizes not a negative but just to know. Fajitas amazing... love the menu
I was celebrating my birthday and told the waitress that we would only be ordering appetizers and drinks. There were FIVE (5) of us (this detail becomes important later on). The waitress messed up our drink orders and just brought us the same drinks for the next round without asking us or giving us a chance to order a different drink. The waitress brought us a chips refill and literally threw them on a plate on the table and half the chips just ended up on the table and not the plate she was aiming for. She then brought us the check and told us that she charged us automatic gratuity as there were 6 of us. But, no, there were only FIVE (5) of us. When we pointed this out she insisted there were 6 of us and we had to pay the automatic gratuity. She finally reluctantly redid our check AFTER we asked her to produce our invisible sixth guest. It was soooo bizarre. It was overall a very terrible experience with absolutely PATHETIC service. Would definitely not recommend.
This is my go to brunch spot in NYC !!! GREAT FOOD !!! GREAT SERVICE !!!
Love Agave! Great bottomless brunch place. Food is yummy only thing is ambiance is so-so. So if you’re looking for a somewhat fancy or boogie environment it’s not the place but overall it’s my kind of brunch spot
Food was wonderful. Margs are exceptional.
Horrible Service. Would definitely recommend NOT going here. Unless you never want to see your server, if you want cold food, or if you want a watered down drink with your dinner. Also I noted on the reservation that it was my boyfriends birthday. We were visiting NYC out of town and would have hoped for a better experience.
Bathroom was super dirty. On my way to the bathroom you need to pass the kitchen and it was incredibly dirty. I went after eating. I don’t think I would stay in the restaurant if I would go to the bathroom before eating.
Try the brunch burrito, very good!
The margaritas are amazing !!!! Did the $35 brunch. Worth every penny
Staff was friendly and helpful
Definitely want to go back
It’s always a great time brunching at Agave. Drinks and food are amazing. The wait staff is on point and the food always comes out hot and ready. Never disappointed.
The food was Good however, restaurant and bathroom could use an upgrade and cleaning.
Girlfriend and I have been there multiple times and this place was great as always! Food is great as well as the service.
They didn’t have our reservation when I arrived but luckily nobody was in the restaurant. Not sure if it was an off night as I remember this place being extremely popular but it was super quiet. Otherwise, a standard experience! Food was decent and service was attentive.
For some reason they told me the bottomless brunch ends at 2pm? I’m not sure if they made that rule just for my party but I’ve never been to a bottomless brunch that stops serving at 2. Therefore, when I got there for 12:30 I didn’t get the full 2 hours. I’ve been here before for later brunch reservations and have never had that problem, so I’m not sure what to think. Otherwise, food was excellent and the server was awesome.
I took my out of town friends here since they requested bottomless brunch. The service is very good. The drinks are good and generous portion( i mean it is bottomless but the glass is big so you don’t have to keep asking for more). The food itself, i have to say it is good enough to be a restaurant. However, on the day we went there, it was fairly hot day and the inside of restaurant probably cannot handle the heat. It was very hot! I hope they checked their A/C system lol.
Overall, good place to grab brunch if you wanna get tipsy in the process.
Foods amazing the seating is a little snug but it was a great experience
