Misleading brunch specials
I really like the place, food is really good and drinks are always on point. Service is good BUT a little too loud inside !
Agave on a Friday night is not the place to go for an intimate dinner for two. That being said, the energy and music make it great for parties of 3 or more. I have been going for years and it never disappoints. The food and the drinks are awesome and the staff generally adds to the experience.
Not planning to go back to Agave anytime soon. Food was mediocre, the salmon was good but nothing else really stood out, and the chips that we got for chips and guac were stale.
The restaurant was not busy and the service still sucked. They forgot appetizers we ordered and brought them out after our entrees which made no sense. Tried to make up for it with tequila shots but just was not a great experience overall.
Very nice place with good food and even better drinks. Margaritas are especially good.
Took ~45 mins to get a drink once the food arrive. Some very boisterous Murray Hill bros at a table nearby. Food was meh (also not the right order). Drinks also underwhelming.
Food was not very good, alcohol was strong so I guess it had soemthing going for it
I love this place it is a go to every single time for anything from friends in town to a birthday to just catching up.
Service is amazing and the food is excellent, especially considering the price — Sat and had the greatest afternoon on the additional outdoor patio and was able to move inside when it got chilly!
My husband and I decided to go on a brunch date and Agave was the place of choice. I’m glad that we were able to go and have a great time, the good was amazing and the drinks were phenomenal.
Surprisingly bad margaritas but good food. Odd ambiance, either dead quiet and empty or very loud music once some tables fill up that requires everyone to shout.
Everything was amazing however they sat us in an annex that had no music or anything playing, which was a little upsetting. Besides that we really enjoyed ourselves.
No available seating inside even with reservations, but was not communicated prior. Hostess and waitress did not have the friendliest demeanors.
They were amazing!!! I threw a surprise birthday brunch for my boyfriend and they took care of everything! He has no idea and they were amazing. 10/10 would recommend
Our server was very attentive and kind!
Great experience except we had to wait pretty long to order but food was great and drinks were flowing
Food and drinks were great. But the noise level was extremely loud. And there weren’t that many people in the restaurant.
Aside from that I would always recommend.
Happy hour margs were a great deal! Food was tasty. Service was a little slow but understandable with the pandemic. They brought out the wrong meal for one of us but it was corrected quickly.
Food was delicious and our server was excellent - very attentive, terrific personality.
Enjoyed our large birthday dinner in a nice secluded back room. Service was good and it was an overall nice experience
Average meal. Very overpriced and interior had poor lighting
Too loud and very crowded. Limited brunch menu. Staff inattentive.
Reservation was for 1pm did not get seated till 2pm
Good food and price. Server was not good. Avoided using for an hour- so we ended up not getting money’s worth with bottomless.
We loved this place. We had a large party and the food and drinks were outstanding. We loved the edible bowl the guacamole was served in. We all ordered quesadillas and they were out of this world. 100% will be back.
Waited 25 minutes from sitting down for service before someone in our party had to go get a waitress to take our order. Food was okay, but not worth the wait and the place was very loud, but it was July 4th so 🤷🏽♀️
Great food and service. Our waiter was so nice and gave really great recommendations.
Our server didn't come over to the table for about 20 minutes. They forgot about our chips and guac. We didn't get utensils so I had to get up and go to the bar and ask since our server never came back. The food was good but the service was terrible.
Loved it, great for a group hangout on a summer night
The service was great and they were very accommodating. Unfortunately, food is over priced and very salty. The atmosphere was also extremely loud so you could barely hear the person in front of you
For some reason, our dinner outside of the restaurant on the street was not as good as it should have been. We have been going to Agave for years and this time the kitchen and bar disappointed. Drinks were not nearly as good as usual and our dinner was arrived at our table slightly above room temperature. Also, the guacamole was not nearly as good as it normally is. Hopefully, this was just one bad night for Agave, and things will get better.
Food and drinks were so bad wow
Brunch was a pleasant experience. The food and drinks were good and service was good
Delicious and Fun as always, thanks for having my friends and me. :)
It was my birthday and I raved about this place to my friends. The service this day was nonexistent. We ordered the bottomless drinks which were never refilled. We also never got more water. One of our meals came late and we never got anything we asked for (ie. sauces, drinks, and water refills). Then at the end of the meal, the waiter argued about the quality of the service. Afterwards, we all had stomach aches and felt poorly the rest of the night. This place was a yearly tradition for my friends and I when they come in town. But we will not be going back.
Great drinks great staff great service
My date and I were sitting in the enclosed patio space (not outside by the street) and saw a mouse. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to move to another area, but our appetites were a bit ruined so we stuck with just chips and guac. Nice staff but I wouldn’t go again.
Initially, we were sat in an “overflow” room for Cinco de Mayo, that unlike the high end and sophisticated design of the actual restaurant (which I’ve been to enough times), had walls painted neon orange, fluorescent lighting, concrete floors and plastic tables with plastic cups and plastic silverware / cutlery. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks, but the noise level in this overflow room was so terrible, we asked to be moved to a table outside in the cold rain. Once seated outside, we ordered our entrees, and an hour later, the food hadn’t arrived because the kitchen was “backed up”. We ended up sitting for over 2 hours with no food, just two rounds of drinks and an overall horrific experience. When our food finally came, we took it to go and ate at our separate homes at 11 pm. NEVER AGAIN.
This was my second visit to Agave. The food and drinks were made well. I was disappointed to discover that the happy hour specials were suspended due to Cinco de Mayo, for that was my initial motivation for going.
This restaurant was awesome in the day, but now it's a drinking/taco factory. I guess everyone's gotta make money. We went for dinner and it took ages to find out that they were only serving the brunch menu. This is at 6:45PM on a Saturday. We did not want tacos but that's what we were left with because everything else was brunchy. I hope they go back to what Agave was like years ago.
A great place for bottomless drinks! Very expensive and the service is awful, but we weren’t in a rush so we didn’t mind. Overall a nice place for brunch.
