   Our family has never had a bad experience dining at Agave in the 17 years since it opened. During that time, we watched it a grow and expand in Lewes taking over one, then two adjacent stores. Eventually the restaurant opened a second location on Rt. 1. We couldn’t be happier for their continued success. No matter the number in our party, we always have a great meal, great service and the food is consistently good. It’s an evening we look forward to every time we go. We are delighted that they now take reservations.

   I didn’t enjoy coming in and being told I have 1-1/2 hrs to eat. It immediately says I am cattle, not a valued patron. Shrimp and garlic guac came with one shrimp for $17. Staff was competent but rushed. No time for pleasantries. Don’t go for ambiance or that special suggestion from servers. We had been years ago and loved this restaurant. It definitely felt different.

   It was a terrific meal from the moment we sat down. Our waiter noticed that a window table had opened and offered to move us there. We started with a serving of traditional guacamole. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. Then we both tried two new menu items: carne asada and the cali burrito. Both were delicious. Really wonderful evening.

   Our server, Justin, was fantastic! He took care of everything we needed and more. One of our guests was from SoCal and said Agave rated a 4.9/5 for best Mexican in his book. As usual, great food, great time, awesome restaurant.

   We had a wonderful meal. The chips and guacamole sampler was delicious. We all had a different dish and loved them all after trying each other’s. Steak quesadilla never gets old, the ancho ribs were fantastic , the baby back rib tacos are awesome. Margaritas are great!

   Always nice, but entrees (tacos) are expensive. Margaritas are the best.

    We have dined at Agave for several years, and have noticed the quality of food and drinks deteriorate . Agave is a good restaurant , but not excellent , as in previous years . Disappointed! Examples: The margarita was not cold when served. I had to ask for ice to put in the drink. Previous visits , I would have been served another drink provided. The fish on the salad was not cooked fully. And surprisingly, the restaurant was empty! Highly unusual for Agave ! Why ?
