Afternoon Tea at The Savoy
Guests can also indulge in Afternoon Tea in this comfortable and intimate spot accompanied by the hotel's resident pianist. Afternoon Tea at The Savoy is an enduring custom where guests can choose from a range of teas served with finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream & jam and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries.
Afternoon Tea starts from £75.00 per person.
Good as always!
Wonderful surroundings & beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Food was ok but nothing exceptional. Service was good
For three of us with a glass of champagne each & service the bill came to just over £320, not worth anywhere near that price.
Superb! Would highly recommend! Beautiful food, ambience and service.
Very disappointed overall.
For £225 it really wasn’t value for money.
We were taken to what could only be described as a well worn setter with a scruffy laid up coffee table for 3.
I requested a table and proper chairs straight away to which I was made to feel bad for doing so.
Once we were seated it felt like we were just forgotten about.
We had to try and get attention for every next step of our afternoon tea.
I wouldn’t recommend this experience to anyone sorry.
Very enjoyable but we were right next to the piano which was quite loud. It was very busy which meant some small waits. I also think the service charge needs to be clearer. Overall though we would go again.
Just wonderful, The Savoy team give the most marvelous service, absolutely spot on, not snooty and not a detail is missed. Such an elegant venue and extra cakes and sandwiches should you need them (you won't need them, but it is hard to refuse) If I had to be super picky I found the patisserie a little heavy but I was too full anyway. I love this hotel so much
3 hours flew by. We were relaxed and not hurried. Sandwiches were light and really tasty. Scones beautiful, as was the accompanying cakes. Lovely surroundings too
A fantastic experience and highly recommend. The Savoy is a beautiful hotel
We were very impressed by the quality of food, the vegan afternoon tea was excellent. The service was spot on and being able to try different teas was an added unexpected bonus. Would definitely recommend.
My wife and i booked a table at Savoy in hope of having a quiet afternoon with good atmosphere and good food. We certainly got that. Great service, and a great time for just the two of us. Recommended.
Beautiful surroundings and attentive service. Cakes at afternoon rather disappointing considering the price.
Absolutely lovely Afternoon Tea. Food was so delicious and very flavoursome. Staff very courteous and attentive. Were seated next to the gazebo and were entertained by lovely music from the pianist.
Fabulous afternoon for my friends retirement couldn’t have wished for s better afternoon
Beautiful venue, relaxed afternoon.
We went to afternoon tea as part of our 10th anniversary celebration. We were very impressed by the atmosphere and level of service. The sandwiches and pastries were all very good. The staff gave us a special piece of cake and went out of their way to make sure our anniversary was special.
Perfect. Teas got a little cool at times but excellent experience
A beautiful and special Afternoon Tea. The ambiance and the room are exquisite.
Everyone was so over the top gracious and generous ... except our server. He seemed a little dismissive and arrogant towards us which was slightly off-putting. I think in hindsight he had another table that was many ladies and seemed to stress him out. By the end of our time, he was more gracious. We would’ve appreciated a little more explanation of the tea experience as it was our first time at afternoon tea at the Savoy. However, that little disappointment was nothing when compared to the overall experience! Even the coat attendant was lovingly doting and the bathrooms were amazing! But the tea room itself was breathtakingly beautiful!!
It’s expensive but worth it especially if you won’t be going back to England for quite a long time!!
Lovely afternoon tea a perfect setting and beautiful experience. Staff couldn't do enough.
Lovely place to go for afternoon tea so relaxed you don't want to leave
Really enjoyed it and the attention by Veronuca was first class. A little disappointed in Earl Grey cakes.
Fantastic Afternoon tea treat! We were celebrating my mums 70th birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was outstanding, the staff are all very friendly and more than accommodating. Felt like a very special occasion. Would definitely recommend. The food was delicious, with the option to have extra sandwiches and if you can’t manage all your cakes they will be boxed up to take away. Perfect!
Great service and food in a beautiful setting.... nothing is too much trouble
£75 for afternoon tea for one is a massive rip-off . Never again.
What an amazing experience, lovely ambience, delightful staff, everything was just excellent, had cocktails in the bar to start the experience, which were extra obviously, I will be back.
It was a pleasant experience but felt it was very overpriced for the quality of the food. The service was nothing special, Okay but not great. Claridges was much better in comparison.
What a thoroughly enjoyable experience having afternoon tea at the savoy with my daughter. We both loved every moment, the staff were friendly and engaging and the ambience was lovely and calm. Thank you savoy for making my daughters birthday so special.
Wonderful experience. Service was excellent! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
Went for my 3 year anniversary and it was truly amazing. Really happy with the service and politeness of all the staff. The piano player was exceptional. Brigitta was really great and made sure we had an amazing experience!
It was a lovely experience. A bit pricey but well worth it as a special thing to do. Especially as I was on my own but didn’t feel lonely. The piano playing was beautiful.
Fantastic afternoon, the staff were attentive but not intrusive, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The surroundings were beautiful.
I wasn't blown away by the food to be honest although it was nice but not worth the price we paid. I had to ask for another pot of tea as my first one was luke warm - in fact 2 of us on our table had luke warm tea served first of all. We did have the most delightful waitress who couldn't do enough to help us and as we were celebrating an 80th birthday it was lovely having a little cake served with Happy Birthday on the plate - very nice touch.
Tea at The Savoy. I have been to many afternoon teas from small hotels to well known hotels such as The Goring. The environment and the beauty of The Savoy is outstanding but the attention to detail did not match up to this. I noticed a lot more people were receiving a lot of attention, but not us. This was a present from my husband so yes I had a voucher, but his voucher cost just under £200. 3 different members of staff asked ask for the voucher and each time I said I have handed it in. Anyway onto the tea and service. A good selection of traditional sandwiches and cakes but this was never replenished, even though lots of people around us had top ups. You can tell the staff work hard to please patrons but on this occasion I left feeling underwhelmed. Sorry if I'm harsh but as I said I have been to may afternoon teas so I know what is expected. Go to The Savoy if you want to feel the elegance of the place but not great value for the tea.
A very lovely and relaxing afternoon - delightful service , excellent and attentive staff and delicious food
plat "chaud "servi proposé dans la second formule tout à fait décevant.
Le plat était froid!! LA VIANDE TROP CUITE et les portions ridiculement petites.
The setting of the Savoy is beautiful but somehow feels like the 90s. This room needs a beam to today badly. Hardly Londoners can be seen here but a lot of tourists who do certainly not obey any dress code. Why bother wearing a tie or a nice dress if others come in jeans, sneakers and polo-like they would go to a football match?
Tea and food were of good quality however I think the Savoy could offer a more modern version of the worn-out cucumber fingers & Co.
The piano player was a real pain! Technically perfect the lady had absolutely no feeling for music. Every song sounded the same: hard, loud and mechanic. No one of style and taste in the management would hire such a bad player.
For what exactly did I pay GBP 85 per person?? An oldfashioned room, no interesting people to watch, awful piano playing and food that was not very much better than a boxed lunch from M&S.
We had a lovely afternoon at The Savoy. The staff were excellent and filled our tea regularly. Beautiful setting and very relaxing way to spend an afternoon in London! Delicious afternoon tea.
My previous Tea experience at the Savoy was 30 yrs. ago. It was a lovely experience. Wednesday, October 30, experience left a lot to be desired. Carlos our waiter was in-attentive, our tea caddy was missing a few cakes. The clotted cream & jams were presented on the middle shelf of the cady instead of presented in their own candy. My husbands Darjling Tea was very weak. We had to ask to have the remaining scone & 3 little cakes to be boxed , when other patrons were offered that service. The bag the boxed was presented in was sticky and dirty on the outside. I choose not to makes scene as we were running late for the theatre. Thank you for this opportunity to share this very disappointing experience. L Maslak
Had a wonderful experience on Wednesday 30th for my mums 90th birthday. The food and service was sublime and she was overwhelmed.
Not something you'd do often as it is very expensive but the service is excellent and we enjoyed everything we ate.
As I mentioned it was for a birthday we got a card and piece of cake extra, which was very nice.
The only minor issue is that there was more than we could eat, so they boxed it up for us, but we didn't get any jam or cream to go with the scones and rather than stack or give a second box we lost out on a scone, which when it's £75 for afternoon tea is an expensive scone!
Couldn't fault any of the food though. Don't eat any lunch beforehand is my tip.
