We have been coming for Tea for years (10+) and this year was not as good as in the past. The service seemed rushed even though we did stay for a long time. The sandwiches were great except the lobster was very fishy and no one could eat it. The scones where over cooked and the deserts where overall too blah. It was nice to see the mango desert was still good. We did the Grand Royal Tea. The tea service is dated and needs replacing (it has been there since my first visit) as the gold leaf is coming off from over use - yucky to think of others when you have a drink of tea. The Christmas event is so nice with the trees and piano music but not worth $650 (after service fee) for three of us. We will most likely do our own Tea Event next year.

This is the best thing about The Phoenician! What a treat! Servers are wonderful. Food offerings are delicious and the champagne is flowing. I would highly recommend this experience, especially at the holidays.

Afternoon tea was a fabulous experience. The tea and food were both tasty and artistically presented. I took my 3 year old and they have a children’s tea catered to the palate of a toddler as well. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Will definitely be back. The only thing that hinders the experience was the location in the lobby, but it’s something I can overlook for future visits.

This was a very nice thing to do for my mom around the holidays. The Phoenician is one of the most beautiful hotels with astonishing views across the valley. They really do a nice job at all their events. The afternoon tea though felt a little like an assembly line of service. We were all seated at roughly the same times, provided the teas and sandwiches at the same time and so on. All the sandwiches were premade and served immediately upon seating. Well all of it was premade. I loved our server but she rarely came back to check on us and I had to wait a long time to pay the bill. That’s another story - was it worth it? Maybe, but just once a season. They also provided a small picture and tea strainer when we left. After spending almost $400 (for 2) not sure I’d do it again.

We have been going to Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician for over 10 years. We will not to going anymore because the price has become outrageously expensive! Before the pandemic prices were lower but still on the high side. Now tea for 2 people cost us a whopping $291.00 Dollars. This is unacceptable for tea! Unfortunately they are pricing their regular costumers out because the average person cannot afford the cost. Very disappointing!

We went to celebrate a birthday and it did NOT disappoint. So many positive things to say but have to start with the service - it was absolutely perfect. Super friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. The live piano music was absolutely beautiful and really added to the ambiance. The first course of tea sandwiches were all really well done, artful, and each very different and tasty. They offered second helpings of any and all types you wanted. Second course included a couple different and very fresh and tasty scones with lemon curd, strawberry jam, and Devonshire cream on the side. The final course included a good number of really flavorful and beautiful miniature desserts. There was a pretty large selection of teas. We went for the coconut cream white tea which was also a home-run. Dining out these days is not always a satisfactory experience; but this absolutely was. In addition to the food, drink and service, it is the experience you are paying for. The Phoenician offered exceptional food and drink, exceptional service and was an overall exceptional experience. We will absolutely go back.

I have been to the Phoenician tea many times. It was super overpriced. Not quality. Scones were biscuits not their traditional scones. We had asked for no gluten and no fish to which they forgot and replaced our plates with fish. Dessert was dry and stale. Sandwiches as well. Not impressed. Tea menu was also now a short list opposed to their normal menu with descritpions. Unfortunately will not be back.

Tea itself was lovely, as expected (I’ve been to high tea here before). However, we were seated in close proximity to a large and very noisy party so we couldn’t hear each other or the piano music. That in itself made it not worth the visit and I was disappointed. Would only visit again if we can be assured we would not be seated next to a loud group.

Excellent afternoon tea! The sandwiches were delicious and beautifully displayed. The scones were warm and fresh, served along with tasty curd, preserves, and clotted cream. The tiny desserts were gorgeous and fun to eat. The service was impeccable! Wanda is the kindest and most thoughtful person and knew what we needed before we did. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed having live piano music. The view out the window was beautiful. I thought the food was good, but not great. I felt like the price was high for the value. I also did not appreciate the fact that a tip was included. For one, it was 22% which is on the high end. I think 15-20% would be an adequate gratuity for the level of service required for the tea. What is the point of a gratuity if it is automatically included on the bill? The purpose of a gratuity is to compensate the wait staff for their service. All in all, I was a bit disappointed in my afternoon tea experience.

This was my second trip here and it was just as fantastic as the first. Of all of the afternoon teas I have been to (I used to live in London, so I’ve been to a few.) the Afternoon Tea at The Phoenician is my absolute favorite. You can’t beat the scenery and the staff. If you think this is going to be snooty affair, it’s not. Nobody is going to chastise you for asking questions or holding your tea cup incorrectly. It’s still very elegant, relaxing and welcoming. The sandwiches are delicious and the desserts are beautiful and delicious. I really enjoy coming here for a special treat.

It's a delightful and special experience. Great place to take guests visiting from out of town. The food was beautifully prepared. We also enjoyed the relaxing piano music (songs we all knew) in the background.

So disappointed. I made reservations for a very special occasion which I made known to the staff in advance. They basically sat us in the hotel lobby which was loud, missed the ONE dietary restriction I provided in advance and the servers were rude.

Loved every second!!! Took my daughter in law to celebrate her 21st birthday. She said she felt like a Queen. The staff was super attentive and made sure our time there was memorable. Also loved the live pianist. This place has never failed to deliver an amazing experience.

From the moment that you step inside the Phoenician, you know that you are in for a real treat. The table presetation was lovely. The tea menu had many different types of tea from which to choose. The service was very attentive and eager to please. Each food course was delicious from the finger sandwiches (great variety), to the scones and then finally the desserts. The presentation was beautiful. We had Grand Royal Tea which included champagne. It was delicious and my glass was always full! It was a lot of food, but we were able to take home a box with what we couldn't finish. All in all, this is a wonderful way to celebrate special occasions.
