Apart from, perhaps, discussing the weather or appologising when someone bumps into you, there can’t be many things more quintessentially English than afternoon tea in the Cotswolds.
Available between 2pm and 4pm, Monday to Saturday in our Garden Room restaurant
A classic spread of freshly made sandwiches (including cucumber, naturally), quiche, beautifully crafted cakes and scones slathered in cream and jam. All washed down with a selection of fine teas sourced from China, India, Morocco and Sri Lanka – and, should you be in the mood, a glass of champagne or a cocktail.
£22.50 per person
You can also jazz up your platter with hearty home-made treats such as sausage rolls or Welsh rarebit, or add a luxury touch with smoked salmon and caviar. Just leave enough room for dinner.

An exceptional Assam tea that has been infused with vanilla pods to give it an intoxicating aroma and a natural sweetness.
Chai
A unique blend of Ceylon leaves and spices, resulting in a tea with notes of cinnamon and star anise.
Jade Sword
From the tea gardens of Jinshan comes a beautifully light and fresh green tea, with a bright, grassy elegance and floral undertones.
English Breakfast
A pure Assam blend with robust malty flavours. Dark and rich, it's the perfect English Breakfast.
Earl Grey
The finest Ceylon leaves are scented with bergamot and cornflowers to create that classic floral and citrus character.
Jasmine
Picked from the mountains of China's Fujian Province, then laid beneath a bed of jasmine flowers for seven nights, this tea marries the delicate white tea flavours with fresh fragrant jasmine.
Peppermint
The intense peppermint aroma and taste reawakens the palate with a powerful, cleansing minty punch that will revitalise the senses.
Whole Rose
Perfectly pink whole rosebuds are used to create an outstanding floral yet delicate tea with a gentle and soothing aroma.
Lemon Verbena
Harvested under the hot sun of Morocco, lemon verbena leaves make a wonderfully refreshing tea with a herbaceous character and fresh lemon notes.
Chamomile
A true taste of summer, the distinctive floral flavour is created using whole chamomile flowers, designed to relax the body with its naturally calming qualities.

Went there for afternoon tea for my partner's birthday. We sat outside by the garden the weather was beautiful. Afternoon tea was delicious - good tea selection, they accommodated our dietary needs (we're vegetarians). Excellent and attentive service. Would highly recommend

The service was spasmodic and some of the sandwiches were uninteresting and somewhat dry. Had planned to pay on my account but this proved too difficult and had to use a card.

Beautiful place will definitely be going here again. Best afternoon tea I have ever had from taste to selection and presentation. Lovely treat for my husband and I on our babymoon!

Afternoon tea for my birthday and what a treat!! The garden room is in a fab setting. The selection was so tasty and very light could not fault anything. Had a glass of fizz which added to the occasion. Service was great. Not the cheapest but worth it for the experience.

We enjoyed very much having Afternoon Tea at The Garden Room, Dormy House Hotel Broadway. After looked around Broadway village, then Afternoon Tea at The Garden Room is perfect day. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Definitely will go there again perhaps for lunch.

Recently had afternoon tea. Slightly Disappointed with the quantity of food, only about 3 finger sandwiches per person and one mini quiche each. Cakes were plentiful however and delicious. They never checked whether we wanted tea refills at all, had to ask which was strange. Last month I was lucky enough to have tea at a top hotel in London, the sandwiches were refilled time and time again. Stunning hotel though and excellent service. Would visit again.
