Afternoon Tea at The Fitzwilliam Hotel

A lovely afternoon spent with family over afternoon tea. Would highly recommend. Only point to make was it was a little draughty

We had a brilliant afternoon tea and would like to mention in particular the two young ladies who served us on 9th November. The service was excellent and the girls were attentive, warm and friendly. They made a special effort as it was my mother in law’s birthday treating her to a complimentary drink and pastries. The food was also first class and there was plenty to go around. Only improvement I would make is to serve mini scones instead of the large ones. All in all a great experience and we would definitely recommend. Well done!

I have had afternoon tea in a number of hotels, with the Fitzwilliam holding a 5 star rating I expected something special but unfortunately pretty average. The staff were excellent.

I have had Afternoon Tea in a number of hotels but I have to say that this was by far the best that I have had. It was a treat for my Mum and the food was just superb. The staff were very friendly and attentive and all in all it made for a fabulous way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Absolutely outstanding afternoon. Victoria was our server and made us feel like the most special ladies in the world. Cannot wait to return!

Took my parents there for afternoon tea and were looked after really well by staff especially Lorraine. My dad who is 81 had steak off bar menu and said it was nicest he'd ever tasted. Loved the hot starters from afternoon tea menu also. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent afternoon tea in a relaxing environment. Brian looked after us brilliantly, he was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. The food was superb and plentiful and I would not hesitate to recommend this to others. Thank you so much for a very pleasurable experience.

Only thing i would say was we got charged for are second drink. So with the deal we only got 2 drinks

Very enjoyable experience, food was amazing, a perfect treat. Tea was in reception area which was quite busy and so quite noisy

Absolutely fantastic afternoon. We tried some food which never had before e.g. hulumi will def try it again.oh and potato leek soup was delicious. Martinis were gorgeous we did ask for more. Really enjoyable relaxing afternoon with very attentive staff sorry to say did not get ther names. We are actually planning our next afternoon out. 5 stars

Best afternoon tea we have had in Belfast. Lovely surroundings with great staff.
The food was amazing especially loved the savoury course and beautiful cocktails.

On arrival all staff we met were very pleasant & helpful. We had afternoon tea with prosecco & everything was delicious. Restaurant had a lovely relaxed atmosphere & I would return here to try evening or lunch menu.

A very pleasant way to spend an hour in luxury surroundings. We were sat in the foyer watching the world go by with excellent food and all the tea/ coffee we could drink. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and gave us the run down on all that was on offer. Would happily recommend this to anyone.

I have been for a few afternoon teas and the Fitzwilliam was by far the best. Could not have faulted it in any way, staff were attentive, food was amazing and the surroundings were lovely.

My friends and I had lovely afternoon tea experience on Sat 23 Feb. Pyper and all staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble.

Excellent selection, fantastic service, felt very indulgent.

We were seated close to the fireplace for afternoon tea, it was so relaxing, and very comfortable. The lady that served us was outstanding. She brought cushions to raise my daughter up on her seat, nothing seemed to much effort for this lady. We had a lovely selection of sandwiches and wraps, the chicken wraps went down a treat, followed by butternut squash and tomato soup which was absolutely divine. The top tray was a selection of desserts, cakes and homemade scones with clotted cream and jam which was heavenly and a favourite with both of us. The lady came back to our table a number of times to ask if we needed anything and to refill our teapots, we were treated very well. My compliments to the chef and to all the staff in the Fitzwilliam, you all do an amazing job.

"Having the afternoon tea at the fireplace was a lovely surprise. First I tasted the exquisite salty delicatessen like demitasse of soup, a meat roulade, and a beef croquette. After I enjoyed the fresh herbal tea with delicious little pastries, scones, and a selection of sandwiches. I definitely would return to try their menu. Service was very friendly and helpful. I certainly had the feeling to be home on a winter afternoon."

Our server was amazing! Did not catch her name really wish I had she was brilliant. She wore a suit and had short hair and glasses if this helps. She could not have done enough for us. She even managed to talk us into coming back after afternoon tea for 2 for 1 cocktails that evening . Will most definitely be back in fact can't wait. Previously had a bad experience while staying and dining a few years ago but this visit definitely restored my faith. Loved it so maybe next time will get to stay again.

Got a voucher for afternoon tea for 2 for my birthday . Myself and a friend went the day after Boxing Day . The food was lovely so much choice and lots of it . There was tiny bowls of soup which were lovely plenty of sandwiches , scones nd traybakes/tiny desserts . The staff couldn’t have been more attentive , didn’t get the name of our server but he was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us . Would highly recommend .

The festive afternoon tea is lovely and the atmopshere is perfect to relax and enjoy the fire. The staff are wonderful and create a lovely environment. They don't over crowd but are available whenever you need them and they are very friendly.

Worth every penny, a must do in my opinion if visiting Belfast.

Afternoon Tea and our whole experience of staying at this hotel was first class. Customer service and the quality of food and drink was excellent. We had afternoon tea with a hot home made sausage roll, vegetable soup, tea, finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream and some little cakes washed down with a glass of Prosecco. I would recommend this to anyone, it was lovely.

Absolutely gorgeous afternoon tea- so much food including a hot food ‘course’, the service was impeccable and the value for money was brill- we will definitely be back :)

This afternoon tea was for a 30th birthday present.

We asked for the champagne version. We never got offered any champagne.

The sandwich's were hard and the cakes were a bit dry.

The service was very slow. Waiting 10/15 mins for a coffee. had to go to bar and ask for water as we had no drink with afternoon tea.

The halloumi sticks and soup at the start were great.
