   Despite having confirmed the booking online and having been in to see them in person the day before, it was a little disconcerting to find that they didn't have us booked in when we arrived but after a while they managed to find us a table. We'd been for Afternoon Tea at The Dome the previous day which was wonderful and I was hoping for something equivalent but although the room itself was good the teas and the food were fairly average to be honest - OK but nothing special. What was really awful though was that despite having told them the day before as well as at the time of ordering that my partner was vegetarian they somehow managed to serve her a sausage roll which she didn't realise until she'd taken a bite out of it. They were very apologetic of course but it's really unacceptable that that could have happened - it's lucky that it wasn't something she was allergic to. We won't be going back

   This was booked as part of a day of celebration for my Husband's Birthday with a select group of close friends. The staff were amazing, the surrounding delightful and elegant (we were in the Snug) and the food and service was second to none. I cannot wait to visit again and experience this delightfully peaceful and luxurious establishment.

   Gorgeous setting, sumptuous treats and fine teas. A real treat in the heart of the city and wonderful value for money.
