   Booked a table online for 2pm on a Friday - website says open from 12 midday. Everything confirmed and had multiple chase up emails and texts. Walked in and was told the place was closed and guy on the door was dismissive and rude.

   A really unusual - and delicious - take on the traditional afternoon tea. Each morsel was perfectly cooked and a treat for the taste buds. The staff were very friendly and the whole experience was very special. Highly recommended.

   We were warmly welcomed on arrival, the menu was explained to us and we chose our teas - lots to choose from. We had a lovely mixture of savoury and sweet delights - great presentation and the staff attentive throughout. I’ll be back !

   Really fantastic food and a lovely change to usual traditional afternoon tea! Especially as vegetarians - there were great delicious options! Lovely atmosphere and great service too! Would definitely recommend! My only suggestion is, as an Indian afternoon tea I was disappointed that they didn’t serve real masala chai - we hope the next time we visit we can have properly brewed desi masala chai! This would make the afternoon tea perfect!

   Really good afternoon tea, the desert of the day was epic! ( excellent vegetarian alternatives) Only downfall was the actual scones (shop brought and cold) and jam (not bonne maman) as advertised. The savoury indian food was amazing, as was everything else. Will be booking again.

   Four of us had Indian afternoon tea at Spice Merchant and it was amazing. We started with us each choosing some loose leaf tea before the food arrived. The food was beautifully presented and a consisted of a lovely range of Indian finger foods. Catering for a vegetarian was no problem for the restaurant. The staff were attentive and friendly and service was swift. I would highly recommended 😊
