Our experience was good but we were surprised that we only had one tiered serving platter for three guests with enough cakes at the top for probably two guests. We had to ask for extra cakes as there weren’t enough for three people. The quality of the cakes was very good. Other tables with three guests were treated to two full servings.

We spent a hugely enjoyable three hours. We were extremely well looked after, not rushed at all, and the whole afternoon was a total pleasure. Being near Christmas, Sopwell House was beautifully decorated and additionally we had a pianist to accompany our champagne tea which added to the experience. I would totally recommend this to anyone.

Excellent tea with good choice of sandwiches and mini cakes/pastries and the quintessential scones, jam and cream. Extremely good value as everything was replenishable at no extra charge. Prefer to sit in library as their restaurant is a bit formal and lacking in atmosphere but would still go again!

It was a lovely afternoon and the staff were very tentative. Food was yumny and they replenished the sandwiches that we liked. A lovely day and experience overall. This was my second time there and defo recommend it.

It was a lovely afternoon tea and the room was nice and bright. Couldn’t fault attention given by staff to us. Only down side was children kept walking/ running through from dining area followed by an adult.

Afternoon tea was for my mother's 80th birthday with family. We all had a wonderful afternoon at Sopwell House, a fantastic afternoon tea ,finishing with a fireworks display in the walled garden. Staff were friendly and very attentive.

We sat in the dining room for afternoon tea. There was a man playing the guitar which was a nice touch. Food was ok, although I have had tastier sandwiches at previous afternoon teas. Service staff were attentive. However, the first thing we got offered when we sat down was water, which I was later surprised to be charged for at the end of my tea. Had not expected an additional charge for this as all other drinks had been included within the afternoon tea. This left a bad taste in my mouth at the end of our nice afternoon, which was a shame.

Lovely place, piano player was amazing. Service was excellent and food gorgeous. Would book again and not just for a special occasion
