Afternoon Tea at Rosewood London
Served in the elegant surrounds of the Mirror Room, enjoy a selection of mouth-watering finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and loose leaf tea. Followed by three show-stopping desserts inspired by some of the artist’s most famous masterpieces including Sunflowers, The Starry Night and Almond Blossoms.
Great experience. Staff very friendly and helpful from start to finish.
Food and drink was outstanding.
The coronation chicken sandwich and the Banksy inspired cocktail were especially good.
Had such a lovely experience at Rosewood. Amazing menu, terrific staff, elegant surroundings. Come hungry with a date.
Great afternoon tea although found the couches quite uncomfortable to sit on for a long time. Couldn’t fault the sandwiches or cakes
Felt like more like a bar the tea room. Desserts looked better than they tasted. Scones were good. Sandwiches were yummy
Wonderful selection of tea and cakes. Very relaxed atmosphere. Although busy it was not noisy at all. Very quick service.
We went to the Rosewood on a friend's recommendation and we weren't disappointed. This was one of the best afternoon teas I've ever had. The cakes were delicious and contemporary. Not the usual sponge cakes you usually get. Will definitely be going back.
The food and decor is amazing, patisserie at its finest and very innovative presentation. I wasn't entirely convinced by the artistic links but it was a quirky touch. It is expensive but for a treat its worth it. The service could have been better for the price e.g. we were left for a lengthy time when we wanted the bill. It was my daughter's birthday and they brought a lovely cake.
Perfect afternoon tea and delicious afternoon tea selection. A wonderful pastry chef who knows the fine art of balance in flavours in sweet treats. Kids were also very happy and devoured everything. We will be back!
An indulgent high tea inspired by the Antony Gormley exhibition at the Royal Academy. Gluten free beautifully catered for.and didn’t miss out on anything. Would highly recommend.
Delicious and unique pastries.
This was one of the most innovative afternoon teas i have had. The staff were amazing and knew alot about the artist: Antony Gormleys art- the service was impeccable.
The only thing I fault ever so slightly is the tea- some of the tea lacks in flavour what they give in fragrance. This is a common mistake with teas- in addition, some of the teas, specifically the oolong tasted old and was a poorer quality tea leaf- i feel the te definitely lets this amazing experience down.
The welcome and service was fantastic. Professional, and friendly, the staff made us feel very welcome and relaxed.
The sandwiches were delicious and were probably the best I have ever tasted.
However the whole apple platter was I bit odd. The apple purée was delicious but as we worked our way along the platter we enjoyed the offering less and less.
Absolutely gorgeous! From start to finish the service was impeccable, and the sandwiches and cakes were delicious! We couldn't finish everything as there was so much, best afternoon tea I've had!
Delicious afternoon tea
However too expensive - 2 people, one with a glass of champagne, one only with tea and a bottle of water= 154 pounds!
Unbelievably beautiful and what an experience.
The pastry chef's talent in creating art-inspired confections is fantastic. The apple progression was a highlight, particularly the zing of the ripe apple. The other desserts were beautiful to look at, if not a bit on the sweet side. Sandwiches, made with four different breads, were very nice. The standout was the coronation chicken on turmeric bread. Service could have been more attentive. There was a lovely feel to the room decor, but luggage racks, coffee carts, and large round tables were wheeled through the space during our tea - quite distracting.
It was great but low cost performance meal
The afternoon tea together with the art collection would be the most attractive part for me.
A unique afternoon tea experience and a special extra cake for the birthday celebration.
The venue was lovely. The ambience great. The service however lacked in attentiveness. For example, top up on tea, rather than being offered more tea, I had to ask. We were also rushed towards the end to return the table. On a plus point, I received a birthday treat which was a nice touch.
Magnificent setting and presentation of various tea service courses. Food was delicious and beautiful to look at. Service impeccable. Somewhat expensive but worth it for special occasion and unique experience. Highly recommend.
The teas, scones and sandwiches were exceptional. The rest of the items in the afternoon tea were too sweet and the whole thing didn't feel well-balanced. We were saturated with sugar already on the 2nd course and were not able to enjoy the 3rd course at all. The overall atmosphere of the Mirror room and the staff were great.
This was great. Rosewood gets 1000 points for being dog friendly. Delicious food and excellent service. Might want to double check some of the spellings of the artist names on the menu for the Art Afternoon Tea, however.
I would definitely recommend this afternoon tea. The service, decor and ambience are unbeatable. I had the luck to try out the afternoon tea inspired by Anthony Gormley during our short stay in London. Every piece of food is exquisite. I love the scones most. The cakes are absolutely aesthetically appealing, and the only 'complain' I have is that the cakes are quite big and heavy for any stomachs. Wonderful experience for me and my friend to be remembered for life!
I'm not sure I've ever been better catered for as a lactose intolerant diner. The alternatives provided were every bit as luxurious and special as the 'normal' menu. Super happy. A mile above my Fortnum and Mason experience.
What a lovely way to experience afternoon tea. the service was impeccable as was the food
This afternoon tea is probably the best we have had - although on the pricey side, it’s was worth every penny.
The design of the cakes is stunning. The care are excellent. The staff members are outstanding as usual. They are warm, helpful, polite and extremely nice
Noisy crowd 2 tables a way. Not annoying, nothing you can do as they were obviously just very excited.
Stunning and delicious
Really lovely afternoon tea - the cakes were beautiful and all the food was delicious. This was my second visit to The Rosewood. However, it is an expensive afternoon tea so at that price, the service was unfortunately not very attentive. We’d finished our teas and water after the first course and sat without any drinks for at least 30 minutes - eventually we managed to get a refill after asking a waitron but we struggled to get their attention for a while. Overall though it was a great experience, just slightly let down by the service.
Overall amazing. Service was great, venue stunning and the touches were flawless throughout (we left home with a small chocolate to take home). The cakes were so indulgent with rich flavour and beautifully crafted. My only criticism were the sandwiches which I expected to be better. The bread was a bit dry and lacked flavour. Despite this it was a really lovely afternoon.
Beautiful setting for a fantastic afternoon tea. Traditional, but with an artistic twist. We will go back.
Wonderful afternoon tea. Was celebrating my birthday, so they brought out a birthday dessert - very special experience!
Lovely afternoon tea for birthday. Great selection of tea and food, lovely venue, good service.
We may have got the worst seat in the house, a two seater opposite the bar and in the way of all the human trafficking, was busy and less relaxing that most other seats
Very lovely atmosphere, delicious drinks and a wonderful service to boot, definitely will recommend to friends and family. Absolutely will return when back visiting London
Amazing food with a contemporary twist. Every element has been thoughtfully curated. The tea knowledge was top notch and paired well with the afternoon tea set. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We were celebrating a special day and they treated us to a surprise. Highly recommend rosewood! One of the best afternoon teas we have experienced.
Great selection of tea in a elegant location and attentive staff
Absolutely loved the place! From the ambience to the very friendly stuff, who were providing very interesting information on the teas and were all in all super available. Loved the food, the art inspired afternoon tea, even the toilet's cleanness (I don't take it for granted!). A great experience, with my boyfriend we were discussing on when we are treating ourselves to a couple of nights stay there!
