   Lovely setting. Too much sweet things for my taste but appreciate some people would like this. Gave me alternative to sausage rolls as I don’t eat pork and even though I did not specify this. Great service and very accommodating. Would definitely go back

   The balance of savoury and sweet was better than the last time I was there. Too sweet previously, so thank you. 2 scones each was heavy on the stomach. Also too much chocolate, (3 or 4 things had chocolate in them. I would have preferred a fruit mousse, and alternative to the other chocolate cakes. But it was delicious.

   Adults festive afternoon tea was okay, a lot of sweet selection compared to the savoury. Kids festive afternoon tea is not very child friendly, especially for the fussier of eaters. The sweet selection was wasted as they only ate the cookies and meringue snowmen. Sandwiches were simple and plain. Service was very poor, very slow, waited an hour and a half for our food. Kids were past hunger. Took a long time to get our drinks too. They didnt have any child drinks either, which was a shame. Staff were pleasant enough, just not very fast. The ballroom was stunning with all the christmas decorations.

   We had the festive afternoon tea was very good the only thing I would have liked less of was the chocolate cakes maybe piece of shortbread or something plain as was mostly all chocolate, nice touch was the fire outside the window, good feature

   Afternoon tea was served in their large function room alongside their lunch service. The staff were very pleasant. We are both vegetarian and had pre-advised the hotel so there was no issue on arrival. The food was good but very heavy on chocolate (which was also quite rich). which meant that I left quite a few pieces. The scones were lovely although one of my scones was not quite cooked right through, but the flavours were excellent. Only 1 choice of tea or coffee On the whole we had a nice time

   Really enjoyed this afternoon tea, there was plenty food and everything was lovely. Service was a tad slow at times but defo recommend it

   Large room like dining hall Savoury selection was good but not enough Far too many sweet selection with minimal variety and tasteless Staff were pleasant but had to ask for coffee top up twice with no milk topped up and wine was asked for three times before we received it

    Had a lovely afternoon tea, staff were all very pleasant, tables were are well spaced out and the food was amazing.
