Such a cute way to spend time having tea and eating lunch. The presentation of the tea pots and the food was adorable. Our waitress was very sweet and gave us some of the history of high tea and its origins. Very fun!

Was unsure of my booking after reading current reviews, but we experienced a positive experience. My Mother requested gluten-free (in advance), and the kitchen accommodated. It wasn't up to her standards, but I'm glad they had options! Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and quick. I did not enjoy looking at the brick wall outside of the room where we were seated or the animal paintings on the wall. My Mother had a nice view though of the beautifully holiday-decorated fireplace.

The food was just ok, clotted cream was not good and no lemon curd as part of service. Used the preserves which were good but not enough and could not get more. It was underwhelming, we were disappointed in the experience, especially for the price.

I was very disappointed with my entire experience at the Mansion for afternoon tea. I made an Opentable reservation for 3 guests but had to modify my reservation to 2 guests and started calling the restaurant the day before my reservation. I was aware that the restaurant requires modifications to be communicated within 24 hours before the reservation so I made sure to call the morning before. I was unable to get through to the restaurant and when I finally did get someone who answered, I was told I would be transferred to the restaurant but my call was dropped. My various calls after that were also unsuccessful. When I arrived for my reservation, the front desk staff was understanding of the change but the server who did the service for the afternoon tea was rude from the very start. She appeared very frustrated at the change she was unaware of and informed me that I would need to be charged for 3 guests since they were not notified of the change. I was there celebrating with my little daughter and we tried to make the best of it but this server really soured the entire experience for us. When she brought the food over (literally huffing and puffing the entire time) she let me know that the kitchen plated food for 2, so because of that and because she couldn’t prove that I “didn’t call” ahead of time, I would be charged for 2 guests only. I would have been so appreciative of this had she not been so rude the whole time. For a $50/person tea, I would have appreciated at least pleasant service. This had the potential of being such a nice afternoon but the server and the manner in which she served and treated my daughter and I, made me feel compelled to share my experience. I will not be returning here nor will I recommend this to anyone.

The food and the ambiance was beautiful and delicious. Our waiter was completely delightful personable friendly but the service was very uneven, we had to ask for our food, for the second pot of tea.. everything was lovely but the experience was not what we expected. We had to ask for everything there was no flow. This suggests some sort of structural issue with how tea is generally done here

Wanted to have the tea outside, like the pics I saw online. Unfortunately they were having a private event outside. And we were not informed of that. A lil pricey for what u get. The hotel was beautiful.

Took my best friend in to ask her to be my maid of honor. The entire experience was lovely, from start to finish. Servers were all very knowledgeable, and we even had management come by and check in on us. Definitely wasn’t the most quiet/intimate experience, but I personally was fine with that. I could see older clientele being a little annoyed by it. This is not saying that it was loud or obnoxious at all, it was still very peaceful. But I could see how it could get loud with larger groups. Overall, I’m very happy with the entire experience and would absolutely do it again.

When I booked the afternoon tea it was advertised to be in the Emerald Garden room. We imagined plants and a small waterfall, etc. It was just a small, plain room upstairs with five other tables in it. The food was somewhat ordinary. We've been to many other teas and this was nothing special. The lemon birthday dessert was the best part, as well as being able to walk across to Forsyth Park to sit and people watch for a couple of hours.

Very disappointing compared to teas in London and Chicago. Nice ambiance and the tower was lovely. That's where the good ends. Very slow and poor service. The tea menu didn't come out for a long time and nothing was explained. We were halfway through the tower before we even ordered the tea. One server refused to take our order and said we had to wait for Alexis. The tea was very cold, we had to serve ourselves (most pour your first cup), the strainer holes were too large for the teas served, no milk or honey offered. We were shorted a key lime dessert and were told after a significant amount of time "they were out"- not even given an alternative. The sugar bowl was dirty. They cleaned tables while we were dining. Not attentive at all.

My mom and I went to tea for my 30th birthday. The building was gorgeous, the table setting was beautiful. I loved the mismatched tea sets. It felt like home. The food was out of this world delicious. The server was gracious and kind. My mom who doesn’t drink tea still wanted a tea cup. The server brought my mom Diet Coke in a teacup! So fun! It was pricey imo but for a special occasion well worth it. And for it being finger foods, we didn’t leave hungry.

Dined in for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was warm inside. I’m assuming the air conditioning wasn’t working because there was a machine with large pipe like vents blowing what felt like room temperature air into the restaurant. We were served our appetizers at all separate times. We ordered them together. Our server was nice and knowledgeable. She came by many times and apologized for food delays and once told us that the kitchen was backed up. I do understand that restaurants are short staffed but we were there a total of 3hrs. That’s a long time. Again with our entree courses, they were served staggered. My sister had mussels that were served over cooked and dried out with cold broth like they had been sitting in the window for a while. The server brought them to us with another bowl sitting on top as of to keep them warm under a heat lamp while waiting on other entrees to be ready. We did not eat them. My steak was prepared properly but did not come with the bordelaise as advertised in the menu. I had to ask my server for it. The steak was very good. I ordered a side of asparagus and it was over cooked again from sitting in the window along with the mussels as they were served by themselves before our other entrees arrived. We ordered the lavender creme brûlée and we all tasted it and couldn’t taste lavender at all. Not a hint. We asked the server if it was the lavender as they also serve vanilla. She said it was. It was also served paper thin. 100% not worth the price tag for it. I didn’t eat it. Probably some of the worst I’ve had. The dishes all in all were hot or miss for us. The truffled mash potatoes were dry. The crab cake appetizer was excellent. Truffle fries I liked. would’ve liked more if they were served with an aoli of some sort. This was one of those places with very high ratings but for me I most likely wouldn’t return. have to walk behind the expeditor line/service station to use the restRoom. service and food was too inconsistent.

Lovely! Beautiful setting under the courtyard canopy. The service was top notch, and the food was outstanding. Everything was perfect from the tiny sandwiches to the scones with clotted cream! I was, however, disappointed with the tea. I found in very weak, and it was honestly not hot. Wonder if the water was actually boiled. Even after the tea steeped for over 10 minutes, it was extremely weak. Other from that, we loved it.

High tea in the Marble Garden/courtyard. Pros- I will begin by saying it was absolutely beautiful, and everyone was in high spirits. When the food did arrive (what I was able to taste) was delicious. The tea selection was nicely curated. Cons- Despite making my reservation over a month in advance for a specific area. Our initial table was moved indoors “due to high demand and booking. The Marble Harden was not available and guests were already seated”. After voicing my discontent (as I had called several time to verify seating arrangement and several more to try to add to our party... I could only reach a person 1/2 of the time when calling) our seating was moved to the proper area as reserved. Interestingly enough, there was no one else seated in the Marble Garden/courtyard ar the surrounding tables for the first two hours we were there. Secondly, when the food did arrive only two tiered serving trays were provided, meaning that each person was unable to taste one of each item (we had a party of six). Third it took over an hour to get tea refills, our sever kept forgetting to return with the tea box, a second server brought a tea box but lost the labels. Fourth, while still waiting for our tea, the server dropped an entire tray of four water glasses on two of our guests and all over the table. It was in no way worth the money. Despite the beautiful atmosphere. If you are simply wanting a pretty experience, this is your spot. But if you are looking for excellence, I would recommend doing further research. I would recommend a restaurant with more communication and proper proportion sizes to the number of paying guests and.

The food was exceptional. We truly enjoyed the food, the tea, and the table. Where it fell short was the service. I had the reservation on Open Table for a month, and even called The Mansion to confirm details as it was for my sister the day before her wedding. Upon arrival, the table was not ready, and everyone seemed a little confused. We had 4 people, and there were 3-5 tables sitting for the whole nearly 2hrs we were there. It took 30 minutes to have anyone speak to us about being served or choosing a tea, and we had to run someone down to ask. It was 45 minutes before any tea, an hour before we had any food, and 75 minutes before the tea tray. We had other appointments following tea so we had to shovel the food down to get out on time. We would have left, but we were worried about parking and getting in at another restaurant. We did have one guest that was a pescatarian, and was brought a bacon adorned dish anyways after informing of her dietary restrictions twice. After that, the tea tray that came out was altered to exclude everything but salmon/vegetarian sandwiches, which was perfect. The server was very nice, respectful, and continually apologized for the time, but I expect more than this from The Mansion. We will consider giving it one more shot in the future, because the food was wonderful, and every place and person can have an off day.

We tried out their "English High Tea" service and it was fantastic. Our server, Gabby, was amazing and very attentive. Came round to check on us with the right frequency so we could enjoy our meal without being frequently disrupted or neglected. The teas were delicious and the foods to go along with them just as yummy. Would definitely recommend.
