   The hotel is beautiful with lovely scenery but the afternoon tea was dissapointing for 2 people the price cane to 82 euros. Ok there was gin & tonic and 2 glasses of 7up. The food wasn't fresh as I expected it to be really dissapointed.

   I booked this afternoon tea for my parents as a Christmas present. I accompanied them on the day and was appalled by how slow your service was we were waiting over an hour for our food to come. The staff were lovely enough but every time we asked for more water in the pot or butter for the scones we were waiting a really time to receive anything. I was quite appalled as I live very near the Castle and spent my childhood swimming in the pool etc. I was very shocked and would not be recommending this to anyone as what was supposed to be a lovely Christmas present to my parents that is relaxing afternoon tea turned into a stressful, long experience.

   Cute that it has a children's version of afternoon tea. Service was a bit disjointed. Having afternoon tea in a window less bar isn't ideal unfortunately.

   Took my mother in law on Saturday afternoon for a birthday treat. We had our three year old with us and, given that I would assume Saturday is their busiest day, and the child in tow, it could have been a nightmare. Instead it was lovely. The food was really good, very generous servings, the ambience quiet, charming - exactly what you would expect from this hotel. A stray cat broke in and hid under the sofa - cue much hilarity as six or seven of the waiting staff did their best to eject him. No hesitation in recommending this.

   Being in such a small part of town, I had high expectations for Fitzpatrick's Killiney Castle. Talk about disappointment! This hotel is an absolute dump, more like an outdated elderly care home. To be avoided.
