Was a picturess setting food was nice, service was pretty slow due to another event on but we did enjoy.

Negatives: No one in attendance at a restaurant had to wait around 10+ minutes for someone to appear (although had queried as to where it was at reception and we did have a booking). Unusual setup in the room with a huge space in the middle (tables removed?) Although nice weather was not given an option of sitting outside, although be aware it is a courtyard so don't expect more. Had advised that it was a birthday treat, but apart from a throwaway comment about someone's birthday, nothing else was said. Cream with scones was really only enough for 3 at most. Had to catch some-ones attention for more hot water. Positives: Food is very nice and plenty.

Took a friend for her 50th which we notified them of, but there was nothing mentioned or acknowledged. The sandwiches were small with not much filling, we had a waitress who started off attentive but we were then forgotten about until we were almost ready to leave and only then were we offered a second pot of tea. Not sure I would go again

We had the afternoon tea, which was lovely. Seated in the main restaurant. Maybe we should have been offered the garden as it was a beautiful day, but that's fine - we could have asked!

Overall I would say this is a well priced afternoon tea based on location. There was no real ambience, and the service was relatively slow considering how quiet it was. We did have to get the attention of waiters a few times. Slightly disheartened by the food itself as I felt the finger sandwiches were quite thin in comparison to other venues and the deserts were a rogue choice (mint and dark chocolate cake, Battenberg cake). Lovely afternoon nevertheless.

Although staff were very friendly, we often had to wait a while to get their attention, despite being very quiet. Scones were over baked and crumbled upon cutting them. Young man that first served was very nice and the rest of the food was very nice.

Amazing experience. Our food needs were very well catered for, there was a fantastic array of teas to choose from and the service from the staff was beyond compare. Would thoroughly recommend.
