The food, service, and ambiance made me rethink of afternoon tea. Now I will appreciate my experience. The food was one of the best meals we had on our trip.
Great experience. Great service and good food
A wonderful experience for a family or small group. We went for Mother’s Day but there was also a Baby Shower going on. Beautiful view and nice ambiance.
Such a beautiful experience and the service was amazing. I had dietary restrictions which they easily accommodated. Such a fun experience.
Wanda the server was incredible! What a wonderful experience!
Very nice- as usual! Service is always top notch and extremely friendly. Will continue to enjoy tea there.
Brought my grandmother and mother here for Afternoon Tea. It was absolutely splendid! The food was incredible, the ambiance was super comfortable. We will be bringing all the women in our lives here. What a wonderful experience!!
The ambience and service were fantastic, but it was a tad bit expensive. The only complaint I have about the food is that I wish the scones were served warm. However, I liked that it was “all you can eat.”
I took my mother from out of town for her Mother’s Day present this year. We chose the sparking wine addition to the tea service, which was well worth the few extra dollars. Ladies in glorious hats dotted the room. We spent two hours sipping, noshing, and savoring the live music from the pianist, who has been playing on the property since it was established 30 years ago. At the end of our experience, my mother said, “I am not worth this”. 👍 👍
I took my friend for tea for her birthday. It was the first time she's been tea and she was so impressed. She said that she going to bring her mother. That speaks volume! Thank you for a fabulous day!
We always return to tea at the Phoenician when we are in town. The room is lovely and the food is delicious. We love Wanda and Natalie who always remember our favorites. It is always a fun treat to hear Wanda sing "Happy Birthday" We will be back next time I am in town!
Excellent selection of sandwiches, scones and desserts. The sparkling wine was a nice option.
Perfect early Mother’s Day celebration for all 7 of us. The pianist is a legend and the gluten free afternoon tea for one of us was just as lovely as their original offerings. Service also was top notch. We will be back!
Service was impeccable, beautiful location, and a beautiful hotel. Food was amazing with seconds! Quite full by the end. Food was presented in a pretty way and chairs were very comfortable.
Experiencing Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician is a must on every level! The remodeled Lobby and Tea Room only heightens this amazing 2 hour pampering. And the view is beautiful! The service by the ladies who have been there more than 15 years is beyond stellar, with every detail thought of. There isn't another tea room that can hold a candle to the Phoenician.
Thank you Natalie for your lovely smile and bubbly personality, and for 2 hours of sheer bliss.
Our table was close to the front desk right at the entrance area, so little disappointed. I wish we had better table down the steps near the piano. We are party of 4, but they put 2 round tables together and was very weird setting. The chair sinks deep, but my back of my thighs were pressed against the wood frame and wasn't comfortable.
All the servers were nice and pleasant. I enjoyed the live piano music. He played lots of variety of music. Perfect back ground music and elegant. I was glad that he didn't play too loud so that we can enjoy our conversation without repeating ourselves to our aged parents who has hearing problems.
It was Easter Holiday, so the price was little too expensive. Easter desserts were so cute and better than 4 years ago. Overall we enjoyed so much and appreciate the great service.
The Phoenician added $30 to each booking as it was the Saturday before Easter this was not on their website however I was charged the Easter Sunday rate .... remember when paying gratuity is already included in the bill when first presented. The staff did not look happy when I didn't pay an extra tip !! really come on .... final bill PP including tax and gratuity $110 it was supposed to be $80 the extra $30 pp is pure money grabbing. there was nothing extra special except the extra price tag..... I will not return nor will I recommend this venue to anyone.
Service and ambience were exceptional; however, the "Devonshire" cream was not authentic and the scones were hard and too dry. Both were a disappointment. Both myself and my guest did enjoy the tea and each other's company.
So far I haven't found any better - if you want to get High Tea in Phoenix AZ the Phoenician is fantastic!
Wonderful experience for my friends 50th birthday! Wanda our hostess made it wonderful!
We had a wonderful time! The food was delicious, and the White Berry/Citrus tea was an absolute hit! We tried it on a recommendation of a staff member and it is now my new favorite blend! I hope to be returning for another tea experience soon!
Excellent service. Great experience with my mother and daughter
The Phoenician tea is situated by the lovely view from the long windows looking over the property. A piano player is in the background which creates a very nice atmosphere.
My service was not what I usually get from afternoon tea. It was busy, but we felt forgotten. They knew it was my birthday and didn't sing, although they sang to someone else. Whatever- but our tea was cold before we even got our scones. I love coming here but something was off. Sad it had to happen on my birthday.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration
At 2:30 most tables were taken so we had to sit at a lobby couch and table which made enjoying the tea service less than optimal. One of the servers was insincere.
We came for my daughter's birthday and had a wonderful time. It will be a memory we will always have.
Excellent food, service and ambience. We had a cozy love seat to ourselves that looked out toward the patio and southern Phoenix. The piano playing in the background is a nice touch. It's a fairly formal and elegant environment that makes you feel prim and proper. My husband was one of the only guys there, but he enjoyed himself. Looks like a great place to enjoy with your girlfriends. We saw lots of ladies there along with a large bridal party. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Food was excellent & plenty, the service was superb. The ambience was okay but very simple. Pretty much just the corner in the lobby. The tea that we have tried was not strong enough. Overall we have enjoyed it very much.
Every year we have the tradition of afternoon tea at the Phoenician. It never disappoints. The service is perfection, the view beautiful and the food delicious. My daughters and I look forward to this every year.
Our family has been visiting The Phoenician for afternoon tea for 20 years. It has always been the highlight of our visits to Phoenix. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Wanda. We have enjoyed afternoon tea at many elegant restaurants, but the Phoenician tea is the best. The variety of the sandwiches and sweets is delightful. They let you choose how many and which sandwiches and sweets you prefer. They also offer seconds, which is unheard of! We can not wait to return to the famous afternoon tea at the Phoenician!
Had a friend in town who loves her tea. Had a delightful time.
The new tea room is TOO LOUD!!!!! Soundproofing is desperately needed! We could barely hear the piano, we couldn’t hold a normal conversation & I left with a pounding headache.
The setting, food, tea and service personnel were all qute excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
Absolutely wonderful! Very elegant, food was delicious and service was top notch! Advised them in advance of my food allergies and I was contacted for detailed instruction. Chef made my finger sandwiches specifically for me so they would be safe to consume. There was a piano player providing soft music to the ambiance and the views were extraordinary. Highly recommend Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician!
A truly special place. Wanda, our hostess is amazing, she makes everyone feel like one of her special friends. What can I say, the food, the atmosphere, the dishes, perfection. Let me mention the music. An 82 year old piano player that knows every song by heart and really sets the mood. The scenery is to die for.
We made reservations for the Tea on Thursday, and expected to have just "tea". The server offered us champagne in a manner suggesting it was included. When the champagne continued to flow I realized it would be an additional cost. Celebrating a friend's birthday, I did not think it proper to announce or question our server, and embarass the birthday person.
I feel that there could be a better way, than to put a hostess of the celebration, in a position of social faux pas.
The service and food were lovely. Gracious hostess and servers.
