The food was bad, same as service. Extra water bottle was included in check, when pointed out - waiter started arguing that it’s not a mistake.

While dining, there was one other couple there. Not crowded or noisy. We enjoyed the cornbread. Hubby had the Wagyu Burger w/ fries. I had the lobster sando, empanada and mixed veggies. We also had the Chanti, (green tea infused) Gin & Tonic and Far East Side cocktails. Would order the cornbread. sando, mixed veggies (roasted & tasty), burger, sando & Far East Side (refreshing) again on next visit. Enjoy!

Restaurant is part of a nice hotel. Restaurant was not busy. Service wasn’t attentive. Chicken club sandwich was ok. Got parking validated but couldn’t get out of lot.

Overpriced for sure. I was very excited to try this restaurant with my partner as it seemed to have an interesting Asian influence. Drinks were great, we had two cocktails and they had interesting, unique flavors. For appetizers, we had the hamachi crudo and the cornbread. Hamachi tasted old/too fishy for sashimi, but I liked the sweet potatoes that accompanied it. Cornbread was super yummy and the butters were a hit! Mains, we shared a caesar salad with chicken and the steak (forgot what it was called). Caesar had toasted croissant pieces as croutons and I wished they chose differently because the dish was rich enough and needed something dry/plain to balance it out. For the steak, we asked for medium rare and it was inconsistent with pieces of medium rare at the ends (which is odd because usually, it should be in the middle at least?), but the potatoes that came with were awesome (though I have made them at home before, so nothing special). It was my birthday so they gave us a complimentary dessert which was a plain mochi donut with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and sprinkles. It looked like a mochi donut from a store and it was overly sweet with all the sauces/toppings. Also, this restaurant has a more high-end, expensive vibe and they gave me basically an ice cream sundae? I actually would have preferred it if they didn't give me anything at all because it was so random/off-putting. TIP: Ask for tap... this was one of the first restaurants in America where they did the "sparkling or still" and then charged me $10 for a bottle of VOSS. Yo, I went to an amazing dinner the other day that charged more and still was just regular tap water. If other American restaurants don't do this, then Adrestia shouldn't start a stupid trend to be fancy. Overall, would not go back and have already told friends not to try it when staying at the hotel.

Food was great! Interesting incorporation of Japanese flavors with American dishes. Loved the shrimp, the empanada, and the lamb chops! Seating wasn’t the most comfortable for a tall person with old bones, but I could make do at the bar. Weirdest thing, though, was the service staff wore all white. As someone who has worked in the industry for many years, I imagine they hate the upkeep on those uniforms, and as anyone with a lick of style can tell, white can turn even the loveliest people into potato sacks.

We were the only table in the restaurant and the service was really bad. I had to call the waiter over for everything, to order drinks, to clear the table, to remove the extra wine glasses on the table. The plating of the food was very basic considering the appetizers are over $25 each. Overall, I wouldn't return nor would I recommend this restaurant. There are so many more restaurants that cost the same amount with excellent service. Too bad, I had high hopes for this place.

Pretty disappointed with the dinner at Adrestia. To start off, prices on the menu aren’t the same as shown online menu; it’s more expensive at the restaurant. The only food that was good was the cornbread. The steak, the carpaccio, caesar salad were all bland and lacked flavor. The greens with the steak were just a mouthful of garlic. I will say the kids meal burger is a good deal but that’s about it.

Business lunch reservation so may not be comparable to dinner service and menu. The service was good with prompt attention. The lunch menu was limited and nothing special so the rating reflects that. Typical hotel restaurant as far as lunch goes.

Very rigid with their menu- extremely limited and will not bend for dietary or allergy constraints- pricey for what you get considering how limited they are. Seek other breakfast options.

We were here to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The place definitely resonates as a fine dining place. The ambience was very nice. But it’s a small place so the tables can be really close to each other. The service was pretty good considering they were busy. As we are vegetarians , our opinion might not be aplicable to everything the restaurant has to offer. Cornbread - 3/5. The butter was good and the bread is on the sweeter side. Heirloom Tomatoes - 1/5. This dish was burnt. Not edible at all. And it tasted bitter as well. We didn’t finish this. This shouldn’t have been served in the first place. Kale Spaghetti - 3.5/5. This was one of the better dishes. Enjoyed the pesto and crunchiness of the nuts. Risotto - 2.5/5. It was good. Nothing spectacular. The crunch Brussels on the top were good but the rest of them were undercooked. We tried the cab and the Malbec which were pretty good , but definitely on the pricey side.

My wife and I went here tonight and enjoyed a few items off of the menu, and it was well worth the trip! Let me start off by saying that I was a sous chef at a fine dining establishment for 7 years. We started with the cornbread and compound butters that were AMAZING! We also split a lobster Sando and burrata. My wife loved the sando, I leaned more towards the burrata. It had a deliciously refreshing salsa verde that complimented the burrata and toast very well. For mains, the misses had the Farro and shaved Brussels sprout risotto, I had the NY strip. My wife absolutely loved her dish, and my strip was cooked perfectly. My only “critique” would be the mash potatoes, but to each his own! All in all, it was well worth a drive out here and we will be making this our new dinner date night spot

Going to eat here was a recommendation from a coworker, and after eating there Im glad I went. Everything was fantastic the drinks, the food, the ambience and especially the staff. From where sat we were able to see and hear the lobby singer which made the experience even better. Dinning here has only made me more interested in both going back and staying at the hotel a night or two to relax as much as possible.

A bland and overpriced experience. Social media campaign is what got us there - the food looked great. It was meh, the lobster sandos were great. Environment was not good - it’s bland and small inside the Marriott hotel. We got 4 appetizers, dessert, a beer and a glass of wine, it was >$150. Definitely not worth it and we wouldn’t go back.

What’s the point of taking reservations for a birthday if they won’t hold your table? List of things that were wrong: 1. Had a reservation that was not honored. They have no reservation system to even check. We were seated an hour later at a table for three with a party of five. 2. No service to speak of. No host stand to greet you, just random servers walking around. Manager kept interfering with the servers trying to do their jobs. 3. Food was mediocre at best. $165 for the driest, most overly rested tomahawk I’ve ever had. It was cold when it got to us. Nothing was good here. Sesame shrimp was bland and tasted of oil. Hamachi collar was over cooked. Salad tasted like it came out of a bag. 4. Tried to order more but the kitchen was closed. Given no warning about last call or kitchen being closed. We were seated late letting us know it was last call for food would’ve been a basic courtesy. We were going to do the course menu but it clearly wasn’t worth it. Plus the servers and host didn’t even realize we were getting the course menu any ways. What a joke. Do not go here. It’s a tiny corner restaurant that serves as a last resort for hotel guests to eat. The lobby is extremely loud with drunk people having a private party in a public space. I only left a tip because it was Christmas. Any other day I would have walked out. Unacceptable.

We went on Christmas to treat ourselves. I kind of expected people to be overwhelmed or at least a little annoyed that they had to work on Christmas but the staff was INCREDIBLE. They individually greeted us (despite being full of other patrons and tables). They were personable and completely sensitive to my partners gluten allergy. We didn’t feel rushed and didn’t feel like anything took too long. Food was delicious. Honestly great overall.

Great food, horrible service. We arrived exactly on time with no one to greet us when we tried sitting down. We even got a hotel person who tried to find the server and fail, who then abandoned us once she saw a guest at her counter. After walking aimlessly for a good 20 minutes, we came back and finally found the server. He argued that he’s been there the whole time and we’re just too tired to make a scene. We booked the nikkei menu the same server didn’t even know nor care to show the nikkei menu until asked. To make it even worse, our appetizers were brought to the wrong table. Thankfully people over there said it’s not theirs. In the end they didn’t even tell us that we can get parking validated nor even say bye. Just the check and that’s it. The worst service I’ve seen at any restaurant that charges this kind of pricing. 1 star for the food and creative menu and another lady in red who actually seems better but wasn’t our main server.

We loved our experience at Adrestia. It’s located within the Tetra Hotel and relatively new. The staff is attentive and the menu is well planned. We thoroughly enjoyed the lobster sando, wagyu burger, cornbread, semolina spaghetti, and hamachi crudo for dinner. The furikake fries were a hit with the kids too. We enjoyed dinner but we also think breakfast is the star here. The crispy potatoes became a fan favorite while the tomato mushroom stew was a repeat order. Lemon ricotta pancakes, salmon tartine, and the Fundamental breakfast were also delicious.

I had a great experience. A member of the staff seated me early and they were very nice. Menu has a lot of great looking offerings, but I ultimately decided on the Wagyu burger and steak fries - and I wasn’t disappointed. It seemed a little pricey for a traditional burger; but very reasonable for a Wagyu burger at a hotel restaurant. Either way, I was very happy with it. Great flavor with a perfect bun to burger ratio and ample steak fries. Fries were super hot and fresh. My server was very nice and professional, and very timely - especially considering all the guests she was serving. I’m estimating about 80% of the tables were occupied.

I had the wagyu burger that comes with fries and a caesar salad with one of their Old Fashioned drinks. Creativity seems to be in their culture and I can see that their menu is creative and will evolve. The burger was excellent, the fries were big fat fries, the caesar had an egg yolk broken in the middle and croutons made from croissants. The service was excellent, although I did not realize at first that since the bar is completely on the other side of the lobby, they are getting their daily steps in. The fries could us a touch of creativity too. I had breakfast there the next morning and pushed my schedule back an hour - worth it! I had the avocado toast with hard boiled egg on the top with a perfectly slightly runny center, a bit of salad that comes on the plate with it, and a side of bacon. I have made another hotel reservation there and can't wait to return!

We started rather badly when we arrived on time for our reservation for 6 only discover our table had been given to another party. An offer to seat us at the large communal table in the center of the restaurant was not what we were looking for and eventually a table for six was prepared. Cocktails were excellent— top notch and creative. The food action here is all centered around the appetizers, the entrees, as we will get to, are kind of boring. So, big disappointment number 2 was when 5 minutes after putting in our order for the much hyped “lobster Sando” the waitress returned to tell me they were out of lobster sando. At 6:30 pm? I think we could have been told up front. Fortunately the apps they did have, the hamachi crudo and the tomato fritters were very good. Entrees are staid. Half a chicken. Steak and mashed potatoes. Spaghetti with pesto. The winner for the evening was the branzino, which was fresh and beautifully presented. The steaks were perfectly adequate, but in no way memorable. The spaghetti was meh. Given what they charge, I think they can do better. We had an ok meal, but it felt more like “hotel restaurant “ than “great food experience“.

Guess it’s a new place in the hotel. Was not easy to find, it even doesn’t has its name showed anywhere. The food was great, tasty and delicate. Two appetizers and two entries were all great except the wagyu burger tastes a little dry. The service was rarely there, not even water refill, which was disappointing.

Brand new beautiful hotel, with a cool vibe and restaurant. Burger was GREAT, Fries were awesome and the Corn Bread was amazing!! Only two issues were the live music in the lobby was a little loud, and the valet parking was TERRIBLE. I had to wait 20 minutes for my car because the single valet parking attendant was on break. Would recommend!!

The restaurant is basically situated in the lobby of the Tetra Hotel which didn't make for a very romantic date night dinner. I felt like everyone could see who's dining in the restaurant as soon as they walk into the hotel. We had our anniversary dinner there but it didn't feel romantic or intimate so I wouldn't suggest this restaurant for a date night which was a letdown. However, the service was excellent and Jasmine was a wonderful server. The food was also quite good and solid enough that we enjoyed everything we ordered. Unfortunately, nothing we had was amazing and unique enough for us to want to come back. In combination with the poor location of the restaurant, I don't think we'll be coming back unless someone else picks the restaurant for an event.

Came here for the Whiskey bar, but stayed for the great food. Staff very attentive about my wife's allium allergy. Skillet cornbread delicious, little gem salad perfect, lobster sando like the best grilled cheese sandwich, and branzino cooked better than I did it earlier that week. Great service - but, disclaimer, we were the only diners there on a Friday night! Seems like weekends are slow nights since this is in a business hotel in Silicon Valley, but I am happy to keep coming here before it gets packed...

We had a great dinner. We were a group of 7, including kids. The menu is not big, but has good variety of items. The food was very good, with unique flavor combinations and a fine-dining feel, with good size portions. The kids liked the options on the kids menu and even tasted some on the main-menu items and enjoyed everything. We especially liked the fish items - crusted Branzino and flash fried yellow tail. The decor is very nice, and the only down side is that you still feel like you are in a hotel, as the restaurant is not totally separate from the rest of the lobby area.
