Terrible service, we waited 30 minutes for a chai tea, also 1 and 1/2 hours to get our meal and it was a massive disappointment we ordered a veggie briyani that had one piece of cauliflower and one piece of green bean. Finally when we order coffee dessert the forgot o bring the dessert. The person attending us in the end sat down and joined another table and forgot about us, we waited for the bill for another 30 minutes. The bill was wrong and the overall lunch took 3 1/2 hours.
TRUE DISSATISFACTION!!! Worse service I have ever received in a restaurant!!! The owner should know.
Great ambience and service. Food is slightly pricey, but satisfying.
Our first experience at Adrak a few months back was exceptional and since then numerous food items have been recommended to us by our friends so we have been waiting to go back and try them. The Lamb Pepper Fry and Chicken Tikka Masala did not disappoint. The softness of the lamb and chicken and the aromatics of the spices were truly on point. The tandoori broccoli was also a surprise of amazing flavour. We can’t wait to come back here and try more menu items.
The worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. It took 30mins for a waiter to come by for a drink order. And then we finished our drinks with no ask if we would like another one. 1hr for appetizer to be served and then we left, as we couldn’t wait any longer for our main course. Manager was not responsive or helpful; only to give an excuse that they are busy with an event. We will never be going back.
Outstanding food. We went for our anniversary and we loved.
Great food as always!
Would definitely recommend the place
Good food and greater service. Adrak is a restaurant with authentic India cuisine made with fresh produce. You must visit with friends or family to make an occasion more special.
Excellent flavours, attentive service and a very upscale setting. We ordered malai tikka, lamb roghan and aloo gobi, plus rice and naan for 3 people (and it was enough food for 3). Each dish was very tasty, with unique spices/flavours....tikka chicken was superb, lovely combination of creamy and herbs...lamb was tender with just a hint of yoghurt, and the aloo gobi was softly seasoned. Fully priced, but well worth it.
Overall was a good experience. The grilled stuff and the Shahi paneer were excellent. Good value for money.
Delightful experience from the time we entered Adrak and when we left. Food was awesome.
My first time visit was a bad experience but I do give people a second chance.
The service started out great until it got busy. Then it slowed down significantly and we waited a long time to get our dessert order. Interesting cocktails, food was ok
Great food, service and ambiance. Will definitely come back again!
Always a great time here. Good food and welcoming atmosphere by the staff.
Amazing food and fantastic service! Highly recommend this restaurant to Indian food lovers! Can't wait to visit again.
Very good food, nice atmosphere, will definitely reccommend.
Awesome food and ambiance. Not the typical extra creamy, artificially colored, heavily buttery or damn spicy restaurant Indian food.
I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and must say the food is delicious and service is amazing. However this last time we felt that the service could use some improvement. We felt the service was extremely slow- it took over 1 hour and 20 minutes for the food to arrive and yet the restaurant was not busy at all. From the time we arrived until we left we were in the restaurant for more than 2 and half hours- party of 6.
The appetizer were very flavourful, the main course was tasty and dessert was ok. The masala chai was weak and watered down. It probably needed to be boiled longer.
It’s very nice to be able to see the kitchen, but the smoke at times in unbearable. A few times during my dinner my eyes were watering and had difficulties breathing. Perhaps the kitchen needed stronger fans as the restaurant did get smoky a few times during our dinner.
I still really love the food and if they can improve some of the deficiencies, this would be one of the best Indian restaurant in the area.
I booked candle light dinner table . And as per my thought there was nothing like I expect. It was just small tiny candle on table that’s it. That’s just I don’t like it.
For those who dine less frequently at Indian restaurants, I suggest making Adrak your next choice. For those who chose them regularly, Adrak is a pleasant step up.
The food is excellent, much better than any I have sampled over many years. It is cooked after you order, not scooped from pre-cooked pots, so it is very fresh. Quantities are more generous, spicing is warm but does not overwhelm the taste buds, and there is a reasonable selection.
Service is enthusiastic, friendly and competent, not overly obtrusive but readily available and timely. Expect to be asked several times if your food is agreeable - they really do seem to care that you enjoy your visit.
We have been to Adrak three times and look forward to going again soon.
Loved the food! The service was just perfect. This was my first time here and I've gotta say that this will be my new go to place for fine Indian cuisine.
We went here to celebrate our anniversary, and we were happy with our choice. Great ambience for a romantic dinner date. We made our reservation the same in the afternoon and were greeted well. Hospitality was nice as well. Service can be bit fast but we were told in advance that our order will take 20 mins minimum so we're mentally prepared. Food was yummy and the portion was enough for two. We ordered lucknowi Chowk ki tikki for starters and that was the show stealer. Best I have had in Toronto so far. The prices were on the higher side but justified for a special evening they gave to us.😊👍
Great service and food in a nice atmosphere. You can watch the breads being made.
The food was exceptional! Innovative dishes that retain traditional flavours and ingredients of Indian cuisine. A Father’s Day treat that my Dad truly enjoyed. Will definitely come back again.
One of the best Indian meals we have had. Food is very fresh and service was excellent. Will definitely go back.
Food was excellent! Highly recommend this restaurant if looking for a nice evening out in Richmond Hill/Markham.
When my friends say let’s go for Indian food my response is always , let’s go to Adrak.
Great fresh, hot food. Amazing flavours and presentation. The decor is inviting and adds to the ambiance . We love the semi open kitchen , to watch the Naan bring made. It’s not the run of the mill Indian food and as such the price point is equally matched to the quality.
Tip: ask which item can arrive fastest and order accordingly. Most items can take a long long time. On the plus side, almost every item tastes great
Absolutely the best Indian food anywhere. Fabulous taste, always fresh, great service.
Menu is much smaller with fewer choices and categories. However service was much improved. Food was very good especially the tomato cilantro soup and butter chicken.
Testy food and atmosphere is suitable for all occasions.
Very delayed service, nothing really authentic about the food and highly priced for a normal food. We were just 2 people and had to wait at least 40 minutes for the food to arrive.
Great place. We love going here for the quality of food they provide. I’d say it’s definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the GTA.
We planned to have a family lunch during the Family Day week-end. The food was very good. Some people might complain about the portion size. However, it was more than enough for us and the setting was way better than a typical Indian restaurant. I would recommend it for family or other events.
Unlike other Indian places, the dishes were made mild by default, so ask for extra spice if you like it. We will definitely come back.
Expensive but Delicious .
We had the tandoor paneer, lamb Biryani, chicken vindaloo, and one of the fish curry dishes . All very good .
Very attentive staff. Food is amazing. Lots to choose from.
it was a good experience, service was very good , courteous , preparations were tasty and timely, we did not feel rushed at any time to finish food and vacate the table. They kept asking us if food was good and if we required anything else.
The food was overpriced for the overall experience. For example, a prawn appetizer containing 5 prawns was $25. There was no accompaniment to the dish. We had to ask our server for some kind of dipping sauce. Even the pappad that they brought out were thrown together in a basket with no attention paid to destination. Food items were average in terms of taste and greatly lacked presentation. When we complained about our experience, the server was nice enough to bring us an extra appetizer on the house. Even though the gesture was nice, we would not come back to this place.
Wonderful higher end option in the area. Service is warm & friendly - very attentive and engaging. Food is exceptionally flavourful and artfully presented with a few terrific offbeat menu items. Decor is tastefully modern and the ambiance facilitates socializing and conversation. Definitely a gem of a reprieve from the office.
Really tasty food - specially Veg Biriyani. Nice atmosphere and service is excellent.
