One of my favorite restaurants in Springfield! Food is always fantastic, service is great. Warm weather check out the outdoor patio. This is our go to place when we have a special event.
Nice quiet dinner. Attentive wait staff.
I use Open Table often to select restaurants when I travel on business.
Selected Adolfo’s on the App. I was not disappointed as the place is nice, the staff was attentive and the food was very good.
I would go back if I am in Springfield!
Surprisingly good. A bit dated and tired looking, but the food was terrific & the bartender was nice. Thumbs up!
We were seated immediately at a very comfortable booth. They offered both full and half servings for many items on their menu. We ordered one half and one full and shared! Both meals were excellent. Mine had one huge meatball, one sweet Italian sausage and one braciola. The pasta was perfect. The timing of the staff as well as their attention to details was excellent. We split a dessert and just loved it all as this chocolate cake with fresh shipped cream was my favorite. This place is as good as any that we frequent on Federal Hill in Providence or the North End in Boston. It was quite a surprise as this was our first trip to the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield and the restaurant was close by. No arena junk for us!
Staff was really friendly; was a fun night
Our server tried but could not make up for the noise that destroyed the ambiance. chicken was tough, no flavor to risotto. over priced. so many options in down town they need to step it up. we won't be back
Ate at Aldolpho's during a one night stay in the area. They initially served bread with oil mixed with balsamic vinegar. It was very good. My wife and I shared a Cesar salad which was a bit different from what we are used to but it was excellent. It had tomato's and the dressing was not creamy. We also shared the veal parm with bone in. I thought it was very good and my wife thought it was just ok. We also had desert. My wife had spumoni which she said was excellent and I had chocolate mousse pie which was just ok. Overall, it was a good dining experience.
Great authentic German food in what would be a typical atmosphere for a Beer Haus. The food was great, portions were large, and the wait staff couldn't have been nicer. They had a great selection of alcoholic beverages (beer and wine). The atmosphere is casual, but clean and authentic. Parking was a bit of a challenge and the restaurant was getting a little noisy by the time we finished our meal.
My family was driving through western Massachusetts and stopped here. They were extremely accommodating, and went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was excellent! I had Chicken Marsala and my daughter had fettuccini alfredo. I am a bit of an Italian food snob and really thought everything was great, and delicious!
The food was good but our server Johan made it better, he has been there awhile and he is an excellent server, very attentive and polite. All four of us left full and happy with our experience.
The food was outstanding and the portions generous! Look forward to returning!
Made a reservation for wife and I after leaving MGM casino. We were seated right away, wait staff was attentive and quick. Ordered antipasto for two, bottle of wine and veal capicola to split. Antipasto was actually quite typical, but good, peppers stood out on that dish. Veal was overcooked but not by much; we easily finished it and the flavor was great, however, for the price, should have been spot on (cooking veal is an art though). Not the biggest fan of the sauce that came with the pasta side, but this is just preference. Again, not bad, just no “wow” factor.
Wine prices were actually excellent considering you are dining in a city.
Overall, very good dining experience because of reasonable cost and service which left little to be desired. We will most certainly return when in the area.
Awesome. As usual. Sat outside and it was beautiful.
As close to authentic old world Italian food as you will find. I don't mean Olive Garden or Carrabas, Italian, but true Italian dishes prepared as they were originally created.
Everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The Italian Trio (meatball, sausage, braciole plus pasta with meat sauce and ricotta) is spectacular. Their carbonara is as good as it gets. Pasta is cooked perfectly al dente. Also: sides of broccoli rabe and escarole, both sautéed in garlic and olive oil, are a treat. We got them as apps. Drinks (espresso martinis, Negroni and wine) were perfect. Very nice atmosphere and ambiance.
Six of us had dinner here to celebrate a birthday. Bethany was our waitress, and she was excellent. She was really friendly and very helpful. For dinner two of us had the veal Parm on the bone which is a huge meal and very delicious. Also we had Italian trio which is excellent with a meatball a sausage and braciole, sausage and broccoli rabe with pasta and the wild mushrooms app which is fantastic. Charlie is a very welcoming manager, and Eamen is an excellent bartender.
I contacted the establishment to give them a heads up that my wife and I would be dining with them for her birthday. A fantastic table, in the perfect ambiance with a great server (PJ) was waiting for us. The most superb dishes were enjoyed by us both! Can not say enough what a great experience the both of us enjoyed!!
This was our second time. The pasta is very good and the servers are very friendly. A little pricey for what it is.
My Cosmo martini was fantastic. Our waiter was excellent! The food was good, but I did expect better. The calamari was average, and the italian chicken wings were okay. The chicken parm - very good, the carbonnara- excellent, the bolognese was very good, the seafood linguine - excellent. I thought a bit pricey for what we got and the atmosphere was more pub like. My daughter graduated from college and I wanted something special.
Every person in our party found their food exceptional
We always enjoy our meal at Adolfo's. I order the sausage, escarole, and white beans. It's large enough for me to eat half and take the other half home. My husband orders the Bolognese with Capellini and says it's always scrumptious. Once the outside eating area is completed, it will be lovely to eat outside when the weather is nice.
Awesome. Food was great.
Great place for a group, service is quick but not rushed. Warm & friendly, good food.
I have going there for a few years now. I personally did not like the new pictures on the wall. I also found the food rather expensive for the quality.
We have been to Adolfo’s many times. The last 2 visits have been less than satisfactory.
Sat eve was very quiet and we had the bad luck of getting a pleasant , but inexperienced waitress. I ordered a small plate sized entree and she delivered the large. When I said there was a mistake , she sort of stared at us, not knowing what to do. She should have taken it back into the kitchen and re delivered the correct portion. . So the dinner cost an additional $10.00. The soup that evening was subpar as well. We were eating light but it ended up being expensive. Not a good night at Adolfo’s .
Everything was great, basically, except for ONE big thing. I will simply say, if you’re looking for a relatively quiet dinner, this place might not be for you. A door which opens directly out to a patio which is shared between the restaurant and two adjacent clubs was mostly wide open during our meal. This allowed painfully loud music to enter the restaurant without any filter at all. The staff halfway tried to keep closing the door, but it just kept being opened up again. Without shouting, it was far too loud to converse over our meal. We could barely hear whatever music was being played inside the dining room. Well, I thought that surely this scenario is not commonplace, but then learned from somebody who lives and works in Springfield that it actually IS. That said, were it not for the noise and “club vibe,” I would happily return. The food was fantastic, the ambience and decor were lovely, and the service was adequate. But because of the booming club scene just outside the building with the accompanying noise, I won’t personally be back. For me, if the atmosphere is “spoiled,” which the noise accomplished, the rest of the experience was automatically downgraded spectacularly. If the restaurant could somehow repair that situation, I would probably go back. But the chef is great, THAT I must say. The noises isn’t his or her fault, but the dining room is way to loud and chaotic if for the fine cuisine to be properly appreciated. I just happen to be of the opinion that it would be far more honest for this restaurant to advertise itself as a club which serves good Italian food rather than a conventional restaurant. I could never bring my parents or an older person to this establishment with the noise level.
Love the food but waitresses don’t know much about menu.
Fantastic, that one word says it all from start to finish.
We went with 8 people for my husband’s birthday. Had a great meal - lobster risotto is to die for and can’t go wrong with chicken parm!
Husband ordered a salad special with shrimp to top, salad was only cutup vegies(radish, cucumber, onion and croutons, no lettuce $14 and on the menu it said that shrimp on the salad was $13 dollars extra. We were charged $17 for the shrimp when the bill came. we asked the server why the price difference and she said that the chef decided to give an extra shrimp(4total) and charge $17 instead. That made his salad $31 and with only 4 shrimp on it. This didn't satisfy his appetite. He came home after and had a tuna sandwich. I had a Bolognese that was extremely salty. We will not be returning.
We were seated promptly in a requested booth. Johann was very busy but delivered our drinks . Pasta Fagiole was very good . Meatloaf special was delicious and Italian Trio very good as well. Still wish they’d do better Italian bread.
My only concern is the redecoration lost its appeal as unique. We liked the old movie screens running classics . The walls are now decorated, rather garishly , with huge Italian murals that overwhelm the room .
We are regular customers and enjoy the restaurant very much for good quality and service.
The food is beautiful. Some of my favorites are Victor's calamari, wild mushrooms and for main course lobster risotto, bone-in veal parmesan. Downtown Springfield so expect to pay at least $10 for parking....nice lot right across the street. They also have valet parking. One of my favorite Italian restaurants.
Our group of 9 made a last minute reservation for an early dinner while in Springfield. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The food was great and the martinis were more like scorpion bowls for one. Overall we had a fantastic dining experience.
First time diner. Will return. Friendly staff, great food.
Was staying at MGM and decided to venture out for dinner. Excellent food!
Excellent as always. Ahman was great. Thanks
The food was very good, yet quite pricey. It was so dark in there, I couldn't read the menu. Not a lot of people in the restaurant so noise wasn't an issue.
Awesome atmosphere is great the People Are Awesome service was great
The food was delicious. The service was great. It did take about an hour to get our dinner, but they apologized because they were down a cook, and the food and atmosphere make it worth the wait.
