Absolutely loved it, definitely authentic Mexican food.
We had a great dinner and the service is impeccable.
Everything was absolutely delicious. Margaritas made with fresh limes instead of awful sour mix. Great attentive service
Great service and fresh guacamole was amazing.
We went to Adobo for our New Years Eve dinner. They were able to get us seated even though we were about a half hour early for our reservation. The guacamole and cocktails were excellent. The enchiladas and steak tacos were also incredible! I was very happy with the overall service and experience! Adobo is located very near the Second City comedy club and makes for a great dinner before a show there!
The service and location to Second City was great. The Carne Asada and beef tip tacos had zero flavor. The enchiladas were good and so were the fish tacos.
Guacamole and margaritas are good
Very accommodating to my gluten intolerance!
The food is great. We each had a mezcalita, which was quite tasty. the front area was pretty packed so hard to hear each other.
Good food and a fun Friday night spot
The Hostess was a bit nervous giving us a prime table that was open , we think k because we had a teenager and a 10yr old with us, asked us to wait on the side which was frustrating, but the owner/manager recognized us from our previous visits and said to seat us at the window table I had indicated was open and which we were often seated at.
After that, our service, food & value were excellent
Food was amazing... especially the table side guacamole.
Margaritas are classic, over ice, salted rim.
Waiter was a little frustrated after we finished eating... we wanted to finish our drinks but he hovered making us feel like we should leave. There wasn’t a line waiting, in fact tables were open. Not sure why such a rush?!?
Other than that, I’d recommend it.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Adobo Grill. We haven’t been there in a while since we are from out of town, but decided to try them again. Of course we loved the guacamole- who doesn’t? I had the pork in mole which was fabulous. All in all, very nice!
One of our favorite restaurants when we visit Chicago.
Wonderful restaurant with authentic food. We love this place.
Great service 👍 with superb food!
Adobo never disappoints. First time in their new location and everything was great: food, service, ambiance. Shared pork and chicken tacos: very fresh, very tasty. And very reasonable priced.
Convenient Oldtown alternative. The service and food was very good and atmosphere fun. I will be back.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago -- especially the guacamole and Margaritas! And great vegetarian and gluten free options!
This was my first and last time time going here. Food was overpriced and not good. Drinks were weak. Best thing was the $10 guac appetizer but nothing else for this party of 3. Our bill was $150 for 5 drinks, 2 dinners and 3 apps that left us without a buzz and still hungry. Go to Carbon instead for authentic Mexican food in Bridgeport on 26th.
First time at the new location. Food was delicious as always. It was a bit difficult to carry on a conversation.
The service was friendly and fast - the food was delicious.
I specifically asked if the entrée with chicken enchaladas could be served with extra dark mole sauce with chocolate. The waiter replied yes. When I got my order it was with a tomato sauce, no spice, pretty flavorless. I ate about half of it and then decided to complain about how tasteless it was. The waiter shrugged and said the darker sauce is better, I said that is what I had requested. He did nothing! I will not be back, nor will the 3 people who came with me.
Andy was great!
Great service and food. I will definantly come again and highly recommend it.
Awesome experience! Waitress was fantastic! Mezcal Margarita was off the hook and Carnitas was phenomenal!!!
We went to Adobo Grill before catching a show at Second City this past weekend. Although we were up for a lively night we didn't expect the Adobo Grill to have the Michigan University game on television and people screaming. (If it were an international soccer game we would understand!) While the drinks were good and the guacamole made to order- the chips were stale, the tacos tasted like amonia and the floor was sticky. So sad to see one of our favorite restaurants go downhill.
This has become a new favorite when I visit Chicago. Love the old town location and proximity to second City. Great margaritas and authentic Mexican. Service is excellent, just an overall great experience. Highly recommended
The ambiance and location are perfect especially if you are headed to Second City.
The food is authentic not Tex Mex but it was hit or miss if they made anything at your table.
Service was a little slow but it was Friday night before a show.
Our dessert, bread pudding, was average if you removed the aluminum foil pieces.
To many great choices to go back.
The Margherita’s and the guacamole are freshly made at your table and are outstanding! I had a whole red snapper and my husband had the enchiladas. Great spot for a pre-theater meal!
Wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion with sangria, lights and guac
Enjoyed a great dinner before heading over to Second city for a comedy show. The cheese & Chrizo dip was yummy. Enjoyed the beef tacos as well. Margarita were great!
All of the staff was excellent and very accommodating . Food was great .
Always great service from all of the staff. We have been coming here for over 9 years!
I go whenever I can, to start the chips and salsa with gaucolmole are awesome. I've usually enjoy the carne asada or some chicken enchiladas. You shouldn't go there if your not gonna have a Margarita. The atmosphere and people are awesome. My only little complaint is rice does not come with my meals. Enjoy
Spent a few days sightseeing in Chicago. Decided to check out old town, saw this cute little Mexican spot and decided to come back for dinner - so glad we did. The margueritas are shaken at your table - need I say more. Ok - the guacamole is made at your table too - both excellent. The chips are home made, served warm with a spicy salsa. We started with the pumpkin soup, followed by the tuna ceviche and chili rellenos - another marguerita, a few more chips ..... we could not have been happier with entire experience.
I told the server about my shellfish allergy and to watch for cross contamination. I was reassured about this but the server never wrote down my order, so I was nervous he would forget. I had a reaction later that night and experienced swelling of my throat!
Staff was so amazing and accommodating! We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be coming back.
Excellent fish tacos and guacamole!
