This is our sixth time dining at the resort in the last 3 years. All of our experiences at the Adobe Grill have been terrible. Reservations made online messed up.
Inexperienced people at the door. Not professional nor could they resolve the problem.
Our Morgan experience last week was satisfactory only after we switched servers. We are not one’s to complain but after spending $300 plus need some sort of explanation. NOTHING was comped at all.
Not one to complain.
Our servers forgot about us, and didn’t bring out the sides to my main dish. It happens, but it wasn’t a great experience. The food was fine- standard Mexican fare, but at the price point they sell it for, (with tip over $90 for an app 1 alcoholic bev and 2 meals) we weren’t impressed.
Great outdoor atmosphere at a lovely resort with live music and good food.
Very nice atmosphere, but drinks and food overpriced and menu is limited. Overall a nice experience because of where it is, but way overpriced for Mexican food.
Delicious, fresh table side prepped guacamole and margs.... doesn't get any better than that!
Outdoor ambience is excellent. I
We have been there several years running and found the indoor accommodations unacceptable. The service was impeccable but the “combination plate” that I ordered was terrible - all three of the items were insufficiently heated in the microwave. It seemed to me that they had been frozen and then just barely thawed. They were Luke warm at best and essentially tasteless. My wife ordered the roasted cauliflower which was acceptable. We both enjoyed the soup.
The food was incredible!!! Chilaquiles and Huevos Ranchero were WOW!
We were there twice this week, and had Oswaldo as our server both nights. He remembered us and our drink orders! Great place, great views and great service!
Good food, great location, nice outside lounge around fire pits. The only negative would be how noisy it is inside restaurant, hard to hold conversation.
This was the 3rd time we dined there and the first two were enjoyable although very pricey. We once again ordered the guacamole which we thought was terrific. This time it was substandard at best and I should have sent it back. It literally left a poor taste in my mouth which made the rest of the meal unenjoyable. We touted Adobe to our nephew and when he came in town he joined us. His appraisal of the guacamole was "I've had better" which for one who never complains about food was like saying "This was awful." I'm glad we paid for his meal. Bottom line: Bang for the buck isn't there and if our first experience had been like our third we wouldn't have gone back and now we won't. To be fair, the entrees were fine but the restaurant is overpriced for the quality/quantity of the food.
We were seated immediately on a very busy night. The food was excellent, however, the noise level makes it difficult for basic conversation. My only recommendation would be table cloths to reduce the hard surfaces/noise level.
Birthday for my son’s 16th! Other than an hour wait on top of our reservation. Nice
Still excellent food but a drop off in service from prior years. The guacamole order used to come with a quick “show” as it was prepared at the table, they did away with that. While nobody was rude I felt that the staff was not as friendly and welcoming as they used to be. Also some errors in taking our order that wouldn’t have happened ion prior years.
They food was some of the best Mexican food I have had! We are seated next to many different tables of pro tennis players. It's a great spot to go after watching tennis at BNP tournament.
This was not our first time dining at the Adobe Grill . We had a wonderful evening dining this time as in our past visits. Our server Victor provided the best service.
We definitely look forward to our next dinner at the Adobe Grill.
Great venue for my mother’s birthday with family and friends.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant. Great food, service, ambiance and management. Yummy margaritas.
Great food, great service and good value! The restaurant was packed and lively!
Great ambiance at La Quinta resort.
Our family dined here twice during our recent stay at the beautiful LaQuinta resort. We were treated wonderfully, and especially enjoyed the service we received from our server, Osvaldo. We were lucky to have him both nights, and we couldn’t have asked for better attention to detail or friendlier attitude.
Not as good as it used to be!
First visit and didn’t know what to expect. Comfortably sat outside with a heater keeping us warm. Got to enjoy the music from a combo playing at the outside bar below us. Our waiter was very pleasant and steered us to a pitcher of the Cadillac Margaritas and tableside guacamole. Entrees were good and all came together for a most pleasant evening.
Food was good, service was a little slow. Server had trouble using my Amex gift card and over charged it without getting the credit.
Overall a bit pricey but a good place to eat.
Do not accept a table at the covered patio right outside the kitchen door! Incredibly annoying noise every time the door opens and closes. Thankfully, we were able to grab another table after a few minutes.
Do not expect a request for hot sauce or a simple side of sour cream to arrive at your table before your fellow guests at the same table have finished their meals.
Do not expect a restaurant staffed with sufficient waiters for a 6:30 dinner.
Great food was great waiter was exceptional
Nice ambiance and authentic Mexican restaurant feel. Attentive service. However, food is average and margaritas weak and overpriced....
Love the patio with live music! Very cool evening, more heat lamps would have been welcomed. The restaurant is lively. Service was excellent. Waiter fun, professional, and had a big smile. He exuded a feeling that he honestly was so happy to help us and be our waiter. Food and drinks yummy. Prices a little high but that’s expected at a resort.
It was super busy and very loud. However, the food and service were terrific. Jeanette, our server, was exemplary. She took care of us with a smile and great attitude. Guacamole, chicken flautas, combo plate and chicken enchiladas were all very good. Lovely poblano mole’ sauce on the enchiladas.
Good food and drinks. Enjoyed coming back. A little pricey but the ambiance was good.
It’s was all good except too cold and heater not working. It definitely changed our experience. Any return will not be in cold weather.
Very busy. But good food.
We waited over an hour for our food. The food was far below average.
Staff is always so nice here! And the manager, Ernie is awesome! Yummy nachos- we can never resist.
Wait staff is great. Food was good. Everything is overpriced but that’s what you expect at a resort.
Excellent food, relatively high prices, but overall a great ambiance. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and responsive. Overall, a fantastic dining experience at a fantastic resort.
There is no denying the food here is terrific. If you like Mexican/Southwestern this is an excellent choice. When the LaQuinta resort is near capacity, though, as it was this President's Day weekend, the noise level at Adobe Grill is crazy-loud.
It was very crowded at our table due to number of resort guests. We had a reservation for six and had had it for two weeks outdoors.
Delicious fajitas and floutas
Yummy Margaritas and sangria
Such a disappointment. While the cerviche was wonderful, the fajitas were not. I think it was the quality of the meat. There are better places for Mexican
Atmosphere was great, food was good, but service had one big flaw. The waiter came to the table for the order with a guacamole cart. While taking our orders, he mixed a fresh bowl of guacamole and automatically set it on the table. Later, when we got the bill, he had charged our party of four $18 for the guacamole even though we were not offered a choice, nor did we request the guacamole. Should beware of this questionable practice if you choose this restaurant.
