Adobe Grill Ratings and Reviews
This place is truly a gem in the desert. If you are looking for good basic Mexican food this is your spot. While the menus isn't diverse, the selections are very tasty. I had the fajita's and a jalapeño margarita. The steak was tender and well seasoned. The margarita had cucumber and jalapeño mixed which gave it a nice kick. Ambient overhead music was a bit loud for casual conversation. Overall an excellent experience.
Took the wife out for Valentines dinner. Best margaritas in town. Had the seafood fajitas. They were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The service is always great here . Weather permitting make sure and sit outside, the view is great and you can catch the music on the patio below.
We are locals and come here regularly. Authentic Mexican food made fresh after you order (no commercial microwave ovens here). We took visiting relatives to dinner and enjoyed another fantastic dinner outside overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds. The soft sounds of the live music being played from the fire pits nearby was a bonus. Thanks to our sever, Victor, who provided outstanding service!
Terrible food. Something is wrong with the Chef's taster as this food was just not good. Get a new Chef, Adobe Grill! You should be doing much better than our experience. Really bad tacos, an inedible shrimp cocktail. Passable fajitas. Very dry tamales. It makes us very sad that this restaurant can't get their act together. Who is managing this place?
Third time we are able to have a dinner "on the balcony rail" at Adobe Grill. Wonderful view of the mountains and the palm trees - absolutely stunning. Really good band and singers from the "Top of the Plaza" about 100 feet away - near enough to enjoy but far enough so we could converse. The food is always very good and the service is usually quite good. We were a little disappointed in the margaritas - we thought they "forgot" the tequila - but it made our drive home safer so that perhaps is a good thing. The take out containers for leftovers are really nice as is the specially sized paper bag to carry them --- everything is carefully thought out to make a very pleasant dining experience.
Requested outside table told none were available. We left after spending roughly 1.5 hrs for dinner- table open when we sat down was still available. I questioned hostess and after a few minutes she admitted the restaurant kept it open for vips! Sorry but that was unacceptable as far as I was concerned- won't be back
My leg of duck confit was bad. I love duck so it was a real disappointment. The sauce totally overpowered the taste of the duck. The worst part was when the manager came after we ate our meal to see how it was . I was honest with him and he apologized but he didn’t adjust our bill at all. I guess shame on me for not sending it back to the kitchen after I took my first bite.
First time at Adobe Grill, we went for dinner.
The ambiance was fabulous. We ate outside, they had a trio playing music...like Hotel California!
The food and service was very good. I ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp, it had a little to much dressing, otherwise I would have given five stars. Their guacamole is so delicious!
This restaurant is so so overpriced!!! I never mind paying $$$ for a wonderful meal but please only go here to see the resort lit at night!!! Aside from the expense for average food the beer, wine, and alcohol menu was way overpriced. I ordered the cheapest glass of wine for $12 (nothing special) and on my bill she charged me $14. I said nothing because the waitress was sweet and nice. I will not return.
We enjoyed a wonderful enening tapas meal with good conversation with the table next to us (they were visiting from Turkey)and very cheerful , smiling, and friendly - and efficient - service. The food was very tasty, but a bit off in terms of quantity. We would definitely eat here again, and would recommend to any friends. Good wine list and choices for every taste.
This is a regular fav especially during Christmas as the resort is decked out and the atmosphere is amazing! Menu has changed and overall food was good although I miss the tamales (still have pork, not cheese). Service staff was good and the manager even stopped by to see if everything was in order but the food took forever and the kids got tired and hungry. That’s the problem with a table of ten but overall it was good.
While very busy because of the holiday, we were seated promptly and our server was friendly and quick. It is a busy spot so if you want a quiet meal sit on the patio with heaters. It is not cheap! A combo plate w/ one each tamale, enchilada and one other item was $27, a bit much for basic Mexican food. Margarita was $14.
Eh....okay. Food mundane. Pollo con mole, tacos and such. Nothing spicey and I like spicey. Straight up drinks good. Blended touristy ones just sweet nothing. We got two complimentary desserts because the service was so slow. Not their fault. It was Christmas Day and the place was packed.
I would not go there again unless I just wanted to sip taquilla and listen to the band. Outside dining is lovely. Inside is noisy.
