Adobe Grill Ratings and Reviews
We went on a sunday night, its the off time in palm springs so it wasn't busy at all ,i think there was about 3 tables in the restaurant. Im sure during season this place is packed. The Food was fabulous. We even got complimentary apps for having a reso from Open table. Our server was good. I would say he tried to Up Sale a little too much, i work in the industry too and it was just alittle turn off. But. But his service was good. I had the tamales, they were outstanding, We also had Fish tacos, and a few other entrees, everyone loved their entrees. Their margaritas were also awesome. Over all great experience.
This is a hotel restaurant ... always generally busy and amazing food and service. Probably the best mole I have ever had ... great tamales and the skirt steak is delectable.
Drinks are a bit on the pricey side - margaritas that is ... but they are good with fresh ingredients and the table-side guacamole is also pretty fantastic.
There is a fancy high-priced restaurant at this hotel, but this place blows that restaurant away!
The food is good and the ambience is pleasant, but the service was disappointing at best. Perhaps it was just an off night, but our server had a difficult time describing the entrées, getting our orders straight, and bringing us the correct guest check. in general he seemed harried and confused. Certainly not the kind of service that I am accustomed to at a Waldorf property.
Beautiful, scenic resort property. Great ambience in restaurant, authentic Mexican feel. Server/ service was beyond expectations. Attentive, friendly, interactive, courteous. Received comp dessert for birthday celebration. Summer happy hour margaritas and appetizers were a great value. Would definitely recommend and return!
Located in the beautiful La Quinta resort, Adobe Grill is very good. Not a quiet , romantic dining spot, there were many families with small children there. It is very loud, but the food was excellent and the service very good. Highly recommend the Carne Asada. Best I've ever had. I don't put anything on it, don't want to detract from the taste. It's incredible as is.
Adobe Grill waiters are fantastic! Our drinks were always filled, and when one of us didn't like the drink ordered a new better one was brought to us immediately, no questions asked! Loved the attention. The food was delicious- especially the stuffed yellow chili pepper appetizers, YUM! The guacamole made at the table side was full of flavor and the chips kept coming. There was 11 of us at our table and the our food came on time and hot. The waiter kept coming back and made sure we were taken care of. The manager kept on eye on our table and made sure we didn't wait for anything. I recommend the beef fajitas my usual. The dish comes with homemade tortillas and a side of rice and beans. Everything is full of flavor. Thanks Adobe Grill.
My girlfriends and I made reservations for Adobe and arrived late but were immediately seated. Even though my girlfriend and I shared fajita's, they gave us our own plates and there was a ton of food. My friend had the skirt steak which was very flavorful. Good thing our food came out quickly or we would have eaten our body weight in chips and salsa. What a great meal! Unfortunately they no longer serve their green salsa!
After reading reviews I expected average food and exorbitant prices. I found neither! The food was very good and had some unusual and tasty twists to usual Mexican fare. Service was very attentive and the special perks for Open Table patrons was wonderful. One should expect prices at a four star Waldorf Astoria Resort to be a bit higher than normal, but the prices here were actually less than expected and the very acceptable in light of the exceptional food quality.
Located at the La Quinta Resort, Adobe is on the second floor. Get there early and you can have a drink while listening to live music outside under light strung trees or in the piano bar at Morgans. The food at adobe is delicious. The menu, though not big, has all the key items one would expect: mole, tacos, tamales, carne asada. Clearly this place focuses on taste and environment. I will definitely go back and recommend this place highly.
Our experience was awesome. My girlfriend had the mole and she described it as amazing. I had the fish tacos, one fried and two grilled. They were delicious. We had guacamole made at the table, which was awesome as well. Our server was super friendly, personable, and best of all, was great to talk to. He made our night even better than it already was. We also had a couple of margaritas and they were nice and strong. Probably the best margaritas in the valley.
Entire staff from hostess, food runners, busboys, server were great. I personally spoke with manager, I believe her name was Samantha, and let her know that I appreciated the great service and will be going back to Adobe grill the next time I am in town.
I have to admit that this is the second time in two weeks that I have dined at The Adobe Grill at the La Quinta Hotel. Prior to my recent two experiences, the last time was maybe 10 years ago? But the food was great, the service was good, the ambience was enjoyable. Altogether it was a great experience.
One of the best things I liked about the Adobe Grill experience was being served a lovely free appetizer as thanks for being an Open Table member! The least thing I liked about Adobe Grill? The hovering of the workers (not waitress) to pick up the dishes from our table. They just kept watching; walking by and looking; making me in a hurry to finish my dinner.
Our group of eight ladies went to Adobe Grille for a bachelorette celebration. The restaurant is more kid friendly than we expected but we still had a great time. The food comes in huge portions, so several of us left with a lot of food left over. The staff was nice but very busy.
Came to the Desert with my Husband to celebrate our anniversary. The Adobe Grill never fails to impress us!! We went later on in the evening when its not too hot, and we are welcomed into the restaurant by wonderful staff who really treat us like family. The design of the restaurant is authentic Mexican with beautiful arts and crafts. The Margaritas were the best! freshly made with natural ingredients. We love ordering the tabletop Guacamole and the food we ordered (Combo plate & Tamales) were the best. I can see why the Tamales are highly recognized here in the Coachella Valley. The Staff and Management here really cater to your needs! Thank you for making our Anniversary such a memorable experience!!!! Truly a Gem of the Desert.
I had heard good things about this reataurant from several people, so I was surprised and disappointed by my experience. We had to remind them twice to bring our drinks and the food was average. A bit on the bland side. Perhaps because its located at a hotel, they have to make the food less authentic and more appealing to the masses. I'd skip it and go to a mom and pop Mexican restaurant where the food would be more authentic, tastier and less expensive.
We finally decided to try the Adobe Grill on this visit and it did not disappoint. Yes it is a "Mexican" food restaurant (at my house we just call it food. This was our family holiday meal. Six of us ate here and we all ordered something different. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and beef fajitas for an entree. They were both superb! I was very impressed with the freshly made tortillas. If you want to spice up your meal just order some grilled jalapenos on the side and your meal will be nicely complimented with spice and flavor. My wife loved the ceviche. Yes, the place is pricey for mex food but it is located at a resort and the ambiance is perfect. Tequila!!!
This was a very good meal.
The waiter, Marco, was a highlight of our dinner! He was attentive and a lot of funny, providing a fun element to an excellent dinner. The Nachos were outstanding, plenty of cheese throughout, not just thrown on top! The rest of our dishes were very good and reasonably sized portions. The service was very fast, no waiting for extended periods between dishes. Everything arrived at our table hot and fresh. The restaurant is bright and cheerful and the music is not too loud. The outdoor patio dining area would be a nice place to eat after sunset or in the winter.
