We've been here many times over the years and love the relaxed feel of this vibrant colorful place! From the time we checked in it was all smiles and upbeat personalities demonstrated from everyone we encountered. They really made us feel very welcomed....ALL throughout dinner...helpful suggestions, listened carefully when we had questions. Service was simply great!!!
Some say the prices are a bit to high and I suppose so...IF YOU DONT count the ambience, service and quality of food. We all had different dinner specialties and they tasted great. - as well as the Cadillac Margaritas! ...I prefer them blended so he re-did it for me.
IF there was something missing - I learned that management got rid of the only quality full dress Mariachi band in Coachella valley that was one of the top reasons to dine here - they were fantastic!
Bad. Over priced mediocre food.
Great place. Nice menu. Amazing view. Staff so very nice.
Very weak margaritas Friends ordered tequila on the rocks Came with one ice cube and liquor barely covered bottom of glass Sizzling fajitas did not sizzle Service very slow This was not the Adobe Grill we experienced in the past
Very pricy, dirty plates on table, service inattentive, almost bored, nothing special about food.
Service was extremely rushed on a Thursday night with many empty tables. We were asked at least 6 times if we were enjoying our meal, and each dish was immediately removed as it was completed. Uncomfortable. Main courses were served about 2 minutes after salad was served. Beginning to end was 40 minutes, max., including cocktails, starter course, salads and entrees.
Good food awsome as it alway is
One of the few bars with a better tequila selection than I have at home. They make a pretty decent margarita watch out!!!
The food was ok. Service was ok. Flies were annoying. Noise level and music was frenetic. It was pet friendly. For the price it was a 3 at most.
Always the quintessential perfect restaurant for La Quinta
It was great...a little noisy as a couple items got mixed up because they were misheard. Overall, terrific!
Extremely surprised that a restaurant of such poor overall quality is within this hotel
Good food! Love the outside and the live music
Arrived at 8:30 for an 8:30 reservation. There were a few people waiting to be seated, we we’re not greeted for several minutes. A gentleman that appeared to be the manager came to us and said he would get us seated. About 10 minutes later we were seated. We did chips and salsa within a few minutes of being seated, after about 10 minutes our waiter came to the table. We asked for more chips and salsa and after asking a second time we did get a refill of our chips and salsa but the salsa was different than what we originally had gotten. He told us they ran out of salsa, so this salsa was different. We ordered tacos as well as a cheese quesadilla. We received our food very promptly and the tacos and quesadilla were both good, not exceptional but they were fine. We were seated inside and it was very loud. The overall experience was just not pleasant. I’d like to think they were just having a bad night.
Small overpriced portions , good ambiance, ok service.
We waited over an hour for our food which was pretty mediocre. This place is catering to the captive masses at the resort and not people who appreciate great food.
The chicken mole, steak fajitas and salsa with the chips were all very good. If you like Mole, they have it right. The Grande Cadillac margarita was so large, I was afraid to have another. The staff was hustling around the room like a power play. I swear the wait staff must burn 2,000 calories per hour. We were in the mood to be around a lot of people and feel the buzz of a crowd. Since the restaurant is in the middle of a resort hotel, it is not the spot for a romantic dinner. Go there to have a giant margarita and some fun.
Although it is more expensive than most Mexican food restaurants, the food was better than most too. We started with the queso fundito which was delicious! The steak fajitas were the best I’ve had in the valley and with the homemade tortillas, it was heaven! The cucumber jalapeño margarita was very flavorful without being too spicy and the Cadillac was also good. The restaurant was very beautiful and very authentic feeling. It was hard to find our server sometimes and it took a while to pay our bill but we will definitely be back to sit on the beautiful patio
Located on-site at the Waldorf Astoria La Quinta Resort, this Mexican restaurant was very popular, offered tasty standard fare, and provided interesting people-watching. It's on the second level of an adobe courtyard, surrounded by gorgeous gardens, fountains, and plenteous outdoor seating. I noted on the reservation that this was a birthday dinner for my wife. They acknowledged that upon arrival. But that was it. In the past, Waldorf properties and OT restaurants have done a bit more. I know it is not required. But there is precedent. For an OT restaurant at a WA property, the caliber was expected. Nevertheless, the food was very good. The guacamole and avocado were exceptionally fresh.
A fun place with a LOUD vibe and lots of people. Great chips & salsa and entrees flavorful and ample portions. Reservations are a must or plan on waiting.
Definitely recommend it especially if you’re a guest at the resort.
Great food and service!
Took my team to Adobe Grill for dinner. Eddy and the crew took great care of us! The service was excellent. Between the 13 of us, we tried most of the entrees on the menu and everything was great! I ordered the filet and it was outstanding. The guacamole, made at the table was a hit! The restaurant is beautiful and the LaQuinta resort is amazing. I look forward to bringing the team back next year.
Wonderful service! One of my favorites at La Quinta
Great outdoor dining
Been coming for 20 years
We booked the restaurant on Open Table and found that the table we were provided was less than perfect -- in a very busy location when other tables nearby were not filled. Secondly, the restaurant complained to Open Table that we did not fulfill our reservation when in fact we did and told the host that we had booked on Open Table. Otherwise, the food was very well presented and our server was excellent. Thank you.
This is our sixth time dining at the resort in the last 3 years. All of our experiences at the Adobe Grill have been terrible. Reservations made online messed up.
Inexperienced people at the door. Not professional nor could they resolve the problem.
Our Morgan experience last week was satisfactory only after we switched servers. We are not one’s to complain but after spending $300 plus need some sort of explanation. NOTHING was comped at all.
Not one to complain.
It was a very good restaurant. It was crowded. We couldn’t find a place to sit outside, we were told to wait about half an hour to be able sit outside. The food was very good.
Our servers forgot about us, and didn’t bring out the sides to my main dish. It happens, but it wasn’t a great experience. The food was fine- standard Mexican fare, but at the price point they sell it for, (with tip over $90 for an app 1 alcoholic bev and 2 meals) we weren’t impressed.
Great outdoor atmosphere at a lovely resort with live music and good food.
Very nice atmosphere, but drinks and food overpriced and menu is limited. Overall a nice experience because of where it is, but way overpriced for Mexican food.
Delicious, fresh table side prepped guacamole and margs.... doesn't get any better than that!
Outdoor ambience is excellent. I
We have been there several years running and found the indoor accommodations unacceptable. The service was impeccable but the “combination plate” that I ordered was terrible - all three of the items were insufficiently heated in the microwave. It seemed to me that they had been frozen and then just barely thawed. They were Luke warm at best and essentially tasteless. My wife ordered the roasted cauliflower which was acceptable. We both enjoyed the soup.
The food was incredible!!! Chilaquiles and Huevos Ranchero were WOW!
We were there twice this week, and had Oswaldo as our server both nights. He remembered us and our drink orders! Great place, great views and great service!
Good food, great location, nice outside lounge around fire pits. The only negative would be how noisy it is inside restaurant, hard to hold conversation.
This was the 3rd time we dined there and the first two were enjoyable although very pricey. We once again ordered the guacamole which we thought was terrific. This time it was substandard at best and I should have sent it back. It literally left a poor taste in my mouth which made the rest of the meal unenjoyable. We touted Adobe to our nephew and when he came in town he joined us. His appraisal of the guacamole was "I've had better" which for one who never complains about food was like saying "This was awful." I'm glad we paid for his meal. Bottom line: Bang for the buck isn't there and if our first experience had been like our third we wouldn't have gone back and now we won't. To be fair, the entrees were fine but the restaurant is overpriced for the quality/quantity of the food.
We were seated immediately on a very busy night. The food was excellent, however, the noise level makes it difficult for basic conversation. My only recommendation would be table cloths to reduce the hard surfaces/noise level.
Birthday for my son’s 16th! Other than an hour wait on top of our reservation. Nice
Still excellent food but a drop off in service from prior years. The guacamole order used to come with a quick “show” as it was prepared at the table, they did away with that. While nobody was rude I felt that the staff was not as friendly and welcoming as they used to be. Also some errors in taking our order that wouldn’t have happened ion prior years.
They food was some of the best Mexican food I have had! We are seated next to many different tables of pro tennis players. It's a great spot to go after watching tennis at BNP tournament.
