Loved it!! Our server (Sergio) was very attentive and super friendly. Food was Amazing, a bit over price but keep in mind you are dining in a resort and with that comes a price. Second time staying at la Quinta and second time dining here because there’s really no need to dine out. Will def come back and recommend it to avoids hassle of looking elsewhere.
Victor was our server and he was superb! He has worked there for 17 years and it’s obvious to see why! He is energetic, amiable, professional and all around fun! He makes great Guacamole and made sure we were all happy and well taken care of!
I ate the BEST mole I have ever had at this restaurant. It was absolutely amazing, and made from scratch with fresh ingredients. This is very rare to find in Mexican restaurants, as the ingredients and the process to make mole completely from scratch is expensive and lengthy. The rest of our meal was amazing as well, and the service was excellent. We received our food within minutes of ordering, and were constantly being topped off with water or tended to. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the desert.
Some of the food was good, but much of it was decidedly mediocre, and all very expensive for Mexican food. But the drinks are the biggest disappointment. I had the weakest Margarita of my entire life and not cheap at $16. I told the waitress and she brought me a shot to top it up, but it still tasted weak. The noise level inside the main dining area was unbelievable. The seating outside was much nicer but this was La Quinta in the summer and it was still 100°F at 8 PM. We won’t be going back. Casa Mendoza in La Quinta is much much better and half the price.
second time we came to Adobe Grill. Margaritas are the worst we had in La Quinta. It's like drinking cool-aid. The Margaritas at the Embassy Suites during complimentary Happy Hour nearby are so much better. The tequila selection is poor. The selection and quality of drinks are much better at Morgan's on the other side of the resort.
The fajitas was fair tough and under seasoned. Pozole was overcrowded with vegetables, had to look for the meat and broth. for the price ($180.00 for four adults) your better off going to a local mexican place for quality food.
Made the reservations 3.5 weeks in advance and told them it was a special occasion. Birthday for 16 year old. They told me they would make it special. I told them where I didn't want to sit. They seated the 7 of us exactly where I didn't want to be. In a room with a table of at least 12 3 year olds and their parents. I complained about the table and the surly manager said all other tables were reserved. I told my party to look around and take it all in because we would never be back, and we are locals. Manager sent over free appetizers which we appreciated. The music noise level was off the charts loud, combined with the whiny kids at the other table. We were served the wrong drinks, she got the dinner order incorrect and their idea of making the birthday special and mine are totally different. A sparkler and two bus boys singing was pretty pathetic. It's unfortunate, because my entree was good, but we will not be back.
High Prices and Weak Drinks!
Food was ok but expensive. Service wasn’t good at all. Not friendly.
Unfortunately, the food was just okay and the prices were pretty outrageous for what we received. We were expecting Javier's and it just didn't live up to our expectations. The service was great and the food came out quickly.
I love the Atmosphere . The foods good, service is excellent. This is our third time coming back. The La Quinta resort is a beautiful property and there is always action going around the restaurants and music. Great vibe
Much better than my last experience. One of their male waitor tried to mess up last time through a waitress??!!!. Hopefully he understands not to do such things with regular dinners!!.
Food was authentic, well prepared, beautifully presented and most importantly delicious. Service was attentive, unobtrusive and genuinely warm. Would highly recommend.
The service was outstanding, the food was good as well, but a little pricey. Very lively on the weekend. High nois level
Our server was prompt and courteous. The food was nothing special. Being located at a Waldorf Astoria property we were expecting/hoping for elevated cuisine; although, the passion fruit sangria was stellar. We opted for indoor seating and it was quite loud. Overall it was an okay evening but we'd probably not go out of our way to return.
Restaurant on grounds was difficult to find. The noise in the restaurant was very intrusive. We requested to be moved to a better table and this caused a dispute between servers. The food was tasteless and it took a long time to be served. The ladies bathroom was not very clean.
The grounds and gardens were beautiful. If we return we would choose to spend our time and money in their outside garden where they had excellent live music and the ambiance was joyful.
Liked everything but the main room acoustics is way to loud
This was our first trip to Adobe Grill. They were closed for lunch on our last trip. They did not disappoint. My wife had the flautas and I had chicken fajitas. Both were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The portions were huge. Neither of us could finish. We did manage to finish the margaritas however. Outstanding. The smokey salsa and chips would be worth a return visit. Flavorful, but not overly spicy.
Good Mexican food. Very noisy! Try the tableside Guacamole..it's terrific!
The restaurant was extremely warm
The food was warm
The drinks were warm
Ice melted in minutes
Excellent service by Alejandro Lopez, excellent food
Love the restaurant. Have eaten there previously. I think prices are high relative to what you can receive at other restaurants with similar menu items and ambience. For that reason, I probably will not revisit the restaurant.
We ate on the patio. The food and service were outstanding. I hope to go back.
A desert favorite! Patio dining overlooking the beautiful restaurant and Santa Rosa Mountains , and listening to live music makes the evening experience very special!
Enchiladas were average and lacked a Mexican flavor. A busy Saturday contributed to a slower service than normal.
Meal was WAY over priced. Buyers remorse.
Margaritas $15-$18 each. Tableside guacamole $18. Two tiny...and I mean tiny...tacos for $20. We are locals and to spend nearly $200 on a meal for 2 kids and 2 adults and realize we would’ve had a better meal for 1/4 if the price at the local Taco Shop is frustrating.
Our order also had 2 issues but I don’t fault the poor waiter. He was very nice and accommodating. It was so loud and hot in there that he did his best.
This restaurant is located within a resort and is a convenient option if you are staying there. I thought the food was very good, but a little expensive for the amount of food they give you. The service on the night we ate there was extremely slow. We waited at least 20 minutes before they even took our drink orders. By the time our food arrived we were starving & were underwhelmed with the portion size, however, when the bill came we noticed we weren’t charged full price (we ordered the “3 sides” for $22 & they only charged $19. The rice & beans were billed as separate sides, but were served together in the tiniest bowl). Overall, I like this restaurant & tend to think they were just having an off night.
Really expensive for what you get, especially the drinks. The $14 margaritas had almost no alcohol in them. The food portions were small for $18-$22 per plate. They tasted fine but for that much I expected much better.
We were greeted with Happy Anniversary by the hostess.
We always look forward to having dinner at Adobe. We always start off with the Nachos. They are the best we have ever had anywhere. The Adobe Combinacion is incredible with tamale, chili relleno, enchilada, rice & beans.
A big thank you to Chef Marco Aguilar for another fantastic dinner!
We had a lovely dinner in La Quinta at Adobe Grill. Food was tasty and fresh, and the patio views were great. Live music was also a nice touch!
DO NOT GO HERE! overpriced, bad service, except for the bus boy who was working so hard, Disney land like atmosphere noisy and unpleasant. We felt ripped off, the waitress was careless and instead of giving us our check had a 15 minute discussion with the manager with our check in hand and then took forever to bring our payment back. this was after forgetting some of our good and getting some of our orders wrong. The food was overcooked, sat under the heat lamp and got dried out and just ok but the prices were very high. Then, they did not give us credit for our open table reservation. The grounds of the resort are beautiful. Take a look and then go elsewhere for good food, you won't find it here.
Second time we’ve been here and it was just as good. The outside patio overlooking the courtyard is a great place to dine. Ask for Maria as your server. Personality plus and such great customer service.
Would go back! Great evening with live music. Had the margarita dining under the stars.
Came in for our anniversary and got zero acknowledgment of that, despite making them aware in advance. In fact, the only thing aside from hello was them saying it will be an hour wait to sit outside. We had our dog with us, made a reservation a month in advance, and basically had to agree to sit in an alternate (not part of the restaurant) area. A very poor service experience from the moment we arrived. I wish this resort had other restaurants.
Excellent food, service and staff. So warm and friendly!
We dined for dinner at Adobe during a getaway weekend. The overall experience was good, but it was clear the restaurants and resort overall were understaffed.
Outstanding Mexican restaurant with a large menu selection and a large variety of tequila selection.
Tamales were awesome, drinks were tasty and an excellent patio for drinks after your meal.
Great Mexican food for a resort and huge portions. A lot of different margaritas.
always fun to take guest to Adobe Grille. only problem was that there were flies when the food arrived. but the waiters quickly closed the glass doors behind our table and that solved the problem. Guacamole could have had more "zing" - either spice or salt.... Entree was good. Service was excellent.
We enjoyed a Saturday night dinner st Adobe Grill. We enjoyed the Cadillac margaritas and tableside guacamole. Both were great! For dinner we had the chicken in mole sauce and the grilled prawns and scallops. They were both delicious. The view to the mountains is fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Good solid Mexican inspired food in La Quinta. We had the pork tamales that are now part of a combination platter (they used to be an entree by themselves). The tamales have gotten better again. The quality went down for over a year.
Still, no churros on the menu. They were the second best thing to the tamales. Please bring them back.
