Aditi Indian Dining - Alexandria Ratings and Reviews
Hopefully this was an off night for Aditi. We have gone before and have been very happy with both the food and the service. The food was still good, although not as good as previous visits. But the service was terrible. We asked two different employees about three times for menus. We probably were sitting at least 15 minutes before we got them and at least 30 minutes before our waiter took our order. Service staff was generally inattentive, too busy to check on us. If staff can not handle a full restaurant, either the owners need to train them better or hire more people.
Stopped after a movie date, the service was excellent as always and the food, well prepared in a timely manner . We ordered everything medium heat and it was certainly spicy enough for us. We had lamb and several vegetarian dishes and enjoyed them all. Also, the Samosas were perfect as an appetizer.
Aditi is a friendly spot with good Indian food. The service was a times a bit slow because the place was packed, but the wait staff were clearly doing their best and uniformly good spirited. The menu has a wide variety of options and everything we had tasted very good.
We asked if an appetizer we wanted could be changed from 2 to 3 pieces and they were able to accommodate us. They will adjust the spiciness of any dish to your liking. They have more vegetarian options than most restaurants. Portions were enough that we all took some home. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommend.
A great place for damn near authentic Indian cuisine in Alexandria, VA. The lunch buffett is great and the lamb tikka is off the chain. The servers are from the region and take pride in the food and drinks served. Modestly priced and a great environment. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
Excellent food. The lime calamari appetizer was outstanding. The lamb was delicious but a tad tough. I asked for spicy lentils and they gave it as requested. Loved the methi dessert eampler! What a great idea. Also Aditi is conveniently located across from Kingstowne Movie Theatre. Highly recommended.
Meeting friends for dinner and everything was delicious. Service seemed a bit rushed but we're slow, take your time, diners and a bit out of the norm. As soon as we stated so the waited adapted to our style, hence the five star rating. A great neighborhood gem.
Totally unexpected quality experience for a shopping center restaurant. All we knew of Indian food was curry- so this was a genuine treat. We got different platters. The server helped us through the entire meal showing us the best way to experience each dish. Absolutely the best way to try so many different flavors. and a muddled curry leaf-- probably the most exotic martini that I've ever had. Gorgeous inside. Excellent!
25MAR2017 was my first time dining at this restaurant and I really liked it. The service was greats. The waiters were friendly and constantly checked to see I needed anything. The food came pretty fast and it was really good. I can't remember the name of the dish I ordered by it was a spicy curry dish. It was definitely a bit more spicey than expected but still really good. The samosa were really good as well. The tables are small so this isn't really a good place to take a group of people but if this is just a normal date, its good to go. I give it a 4 or of 5.
Food was very good. The menu had Indian dishes from the different regions which was a nice change from a lot of Indian restaurants that is just "curry" Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The portions are large so we could have done without appetizers but that meant we had take away for lunch the next day. This is a good neighborhood gem. The tables are a bit small even for two people by the time you put plates and two dishes and bread it is awkward and hard to eat food comfortably. That is my only criticism.
