Unfortunately with Covid the restaurant has three sets of customers - Delivery, Pick-Up and in-house dining with minimal staff. The service was attentive but very choppy due to the need to service those other customers. It’s hard to see three tables only and have your meal take 1/2 hour! It is par for our Covid time and Aditi’s food is still so outstanding. I hope someday to return to a full restaurant with great service.
The food was very good! A must try is the lemon pepper calamari! Who knew?!? The drinks were beyond good! The how and wait staff were so friendly and welcoming.
Excellent service!! The food was amazing too
Always a favorite when we lived in DC in the past. Staff is very friendly, and ready to adjust the spice level for your taste. Great spiced Manhattan, and very reasonably priced wine menu.
The waiters were excellent. Very attentive. The food and drink was delicious. We did not have to wait long for our food or drink to arrive at the table. This my second visit. Next time I visit, I will have dessert.
We had a chance to sit outside and the weather was wonderful. The waiter was extremely helpful in addressing dietary concerns of our guest. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. Loved the goat stew and also the bread basket
Wonderful service and food. This is top notch Indian cuisine.
Great food and service at brunch as always.
Butter chicken was so good I could drink the sauce!!! Naan was great and my husband loved his dish but I do not recall. New fav spot for Indian food. Def going back!
My husband and I enjoyed our experience here. I had the Lamb Rogan Josh while he enjoyed the Salmon Tikka Masala and everything was quite tasty to include the drinks!
Excellent service delicious cuisine especially lamb chop masala and tandoori platter ! Recommend to check out .* I would definitely recommend friends and family !
Best Indian food we have had since we moved to NoVA.
I couldn’t wait any longer for the Butter Chicken, which was great. The Samosas and lamb Rogan Josh were on the spicy side but we hadn’t been there since before Covid. The kitchen turned down the heat on the lamb for us. Lots of food; we took home some of everything, except the delicious Naan. Can’t wait to go back again soon.
Tasty food Nice place
Our go to restaurant for outstanding Indian cuisine!! Great selection of food that is reasonably priced and extremely tasty! Highly recommend!
First time dining at Aditi. Found it to be very quiet. Our Server was great. Made some drink recommendations that were spot on. Highly recommend if you want some good Indian food in a nice quiet place.
This is my neighborhood spot, always great food and service!
The food is good - good service - reasonable price.
Had an 8:45 reservation on Sunday night. When we got there it was closed. I gave it a medium rating but I never got to actually eat there.
I can't blame them totally. Why would there be a reservation on open table if the restaurant isn't open.
Had a opportunity to dine with my youngest daughter. It was so nice to sit and enjoy her company in a quiet place. The food was superb.
Food was excellent. They also have a kid's menu if you have little ones who don't like curries. The service was great.
Any kitchen can have an off-night, and this might have been one. We're regulars and had a Good Meal, but it was late on a slow Friday night, and the usual high quality wasn't quite there. The Baby Spinach Chaat wasn't as hot and crispy & Tamarindy as we remembered. Some of the breads in our basket were cold, and our entrees came hard on the heels of our appetizers and salads, so we felt a tad rushed. The cheese in my sweetie's Paneer Makhani tasted a little "refrigerator-y". My Lamb Biryani had lotsa lamb and balanced spices, but was merely good, not stellar, as I remembered: I'm a lamb and goat lover, so these flavor memories stick with me. The dessert Rasmalai and Kheer also tasted like they had a few days of age on them, rather than super-fresh. Good value though... when the check arrived and I saw the total, I thunk to myself "Not Bad! Not Bad at all for the full I got and tastes I sampled".
It was a great experience and the staff was great.
Incredible food and excellent service. I had the Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan and I could not have been happier. I will definitely be returning soon.
I've always loved the experience and food here--this time they didn't measure up on the service and for some of the food. I made the reservation and arrived 2 minutes before they officially opened at 5:30. No one was rushing around inside to get ready--in fact, those I saw were moving around rather leisurely. It was a freezing cold day and although they could see me standing at the door no one would come to open until after 5:30. The food this time was not as good as in the past--tandoori chicken was very dry. Although the restaurant was far from full, service was slow with a lack of attention at times. Had to summon the waiter to take our order. Water glasses were filled a few times. The check and a continer for leftovers were requested at the same time. Container was provided to self-move the leftover soup and after waiting more than minutes after the container arrived, had to summon the waiter a second time to ask for the check.
We have dined at Aditi since it first opened in Kingstowne and before that at the Georgetown location. We have never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious, the staff are polite and friendly, and the atmosphere is superb. I strongly recommend dining at Aditi!
Food is always great,so is the service
Fantastic service and excellent food.
I don’t enjoy Indian food but I set this dinner up for a friend who wanted Indian food. I was pleasantly surprised and willing to go back. The lamb vindaloo was really good and the service was quick and polite
Between the poor service, lack of authentic Indian flavor, this wannabe Rasika is overpriced and overrated. We made a reservation, waited for 10 minutes before being acknowledged by anyone, and when we were finally given any attention, we were told it’s a 25-min wait. So we stated we had a reservation, and it turns out they gave our table to someone else. Ok. Then, they tried to seat the 3 of us in a table for 2 people, didn’t even offer a 3rd chair. I guess we were supposed to huddle on the bench. I asked for a bigger table and was told the small table is what’s available. But I saw a family with 3 kids leaving. So the waiter shows me their dirty table and is like, is this what you want?
Ok so now on to food. The baby spinach chaat is a poor imitation of Rasika’s palak chaat. It was soggy and barely edible. Our tawa fish curry was cold & tasteless, as was the Gobi Manchurian. The butter chicken was the only dish that came out hot. But it was made with fatty chicken thighs. Who does that except those that want to cut costs?
Any self-respecting Indian will not dine here for authentic Indian food that is way overpriced. Check out Rasika in DC or go to Curry House in Burke, VA - excellent authentic Indian flavor and superb customer service.
The ambiance is great.... unless you are seated by the door on a cold and rainy day. Every time a new patron enters you get a cold breeze of air. The server wasn’t incredibly attentive and they weren’t able to modify my chosen dish to my needs... unlike just about every restaurant of Indian cuisine I’ve ever been to... how difficult is it to put the same sauce you use on the chicken tikka masala onto potatoes and cauliflower instead? Well, the server assured me it couldn’t be done and then man-splained to me about how masala is just the term for spices not a specific sauce like I don’t know what garam masala is and haven’t been making this from scratch myself at home. He assured me the aloo gobi would be served dry without a sauce so I ordered it extra spicy thinking to add the sauce from my husband’s chicken tikka masala and be fine. It came out instead drenched in another dark tomato sauce that was very spicy like I enjoy my food but absolutely no flavor beyond the heat. It wasn’t even a recognizable vindaloo or anything... it was like a can of tomato paste with some onion and some chili powder thrown in.... in a word, disgusting. I ate it because it was dinner and I hadn’t eaten since breakfast but I would never stop here again.
We have eaten at Aditi several times and have never been disappointed. We had a shrimp curry that was spectacular. We also had the spinach with cheese dish and an samosa. We left very satisfied and happy.
Once again, Aditi’s did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the portions generous, and the service very attentive! 5 stars!
Great service and excellent food whether an appetizer, soup, or entrée.
Extremely good food - would return again. Nice atmosphere.
Excellent food, service, and value. All of the dishes were wonderful. The only caveat was that the spinach chat was spicy and not as crunchy as usual. Beside this single minor issue, I would highly recommend Aditi.
We have been to Aditi to celebrate many special occasions. The service and food are always consistently very good. Authentic Indian food.
Delicious Food! My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful time. First time here, the reviews did not fail us. It’s a very laid back environment. The servers didn’t rush at all. And I’m sorry, but yes, the food is absolutely amazing, BUT, what I truly appreciated the service. They were present and always around but didn’t hover or rush us. And the check. I can’t stand when a server brings the check and says “take your time”. I will come here again because they understand that doing that means “please leave, I’m done with you”. Probably an odd thing to pin point, but I really appreciated it. Food was amazing!
Great weekend buffet.
