   The ambiance is fab but the food was mediocre. The wine and service were great as was the location. If the food improves, would be great.

   Having been a great fan of this location and its many iterations over the past 30 years it is with heavy heart that I post that the current management has sadly lost the plot. One of the most welcoming patios in the city is worth little when no attention is paid to the menu. All three of our meals were bland and unappealing. The staff were friendly and tried their best, but the new adesso is unfortunately no longer an epicurean adventure. The ambiance, professional staff and attention to deal have left the building. Needs a serious rethink if it is to last the year.

   We've had great service and meals at Adesso previously but this evening was a train wreck. The owners/managers had their laptops set up on a table close to the hostess station - not what you want to see when you first walk in to a better restaurant. We were seated on the lovely patio and service was initially attentive and appetizers arrived in good time. We then waited 1.5 hours for our main. We asked for more bread (pretty hungry at that point) which they forgot to bring. A gentleman from a neighbouring table even came over to ask us how long we had waited so far - at that point they had waited 1.5 hours too. The wait staff never offered an explanation although they did comp a bottle of prosecco and 2 drinks without our asking. The appetizer and mains were properly prepared but under seasoned - contrary to past experiences. We understand the restaurant has new owners and hope they get their act together soon so this West End gem isn't ruined.

   Right at the entrance, we smell a very strong smell! The service was to be desired by the delay of our requests

   Came for happy hour, specifically to try their negroni. Ordered a small antipasto & the pear & hazelnut salad to nibble on. Negroni was a delight altho the beer special was nbd. Antipasto platter was kinda disappointing; the burrata needed a bit of salt, rather than squeezing some balsamic syrup on top. The salad could have been better but the mustard vinaigrette was over powering. The service was good however; our server was friendly & helpful. Our visit wasn't horrible but with so many better options close by (Nook, Tavola) why would we go back?

   The location is undeniable as a wonderful neighbourhood gem. The Happy Hour deals are great! Wonderful beer on tap. Though the mussels were a bit disappointing due to several being unopened and many of them empty....when the waiter asked how everything was and I told him about the mussels, he immediatley had another batch ordered up ( on the house) and the second time around was delicious as well as satisftying. Lovely spot to meet with friends.

   We've eaten here several times and absolutely loved it but the most recent journey down to Odessa was horrible. First they blamed there level of service on the fact that they were short staffed (if you don't have enough people on your team to serve a full restaurant then don't open that day)! Second the server gossiped about other tables and would say things like, "Atleast you're not being grumpy like this guy behind us" and would then point at another one of her tables. The bottle of wine we ordered took 25 minutes to come out which the server blamed on the bartender... The charcuterie board took 45 minutes and was mediocre. I absolutely love this place but the experience we had recently there was absolutely horrible and would rate as my worst restaurant experience to date.

   I gather Adesso is under new ownership. They need to hire more servers and kitchen staff to deal with the volume of diners. Our visit last week took 2 hours and we peeled out after dinner with no dessert. There seemed to be a lot of other disgruntled diners who all were having to wait a long time for food. My advice would be to wait a month then see if they have worked out the issues.

    This place has recently changed owners. Still working out a few kinks. Still the best patio in the Westend.
