Voted top 100 Al Fresco Dining Restaurants In the US 2017.
The taste, presentation, and quality of each dish was very good to excellent. Staff was attentive when needed and did not interrupt when my party was in the midst of conversation. The tables were set far enough apart for conversation to be private. One gentleman, who may have been the manager or owner, moved quietly through the restaurant ensuring order and cleanliness. The warm color of light wood walls tastefully decorated with abstract and Art Deco paintings was pleasing to the eye. Every facet was well done, except the hanger steak, which was cooked exactly as ordered to “between medium and medium rare”.
Friendly, helpful and unpretentiousness. The food is interesting, well presented and tasteful. The wine by the glass is interesting, not the usual restaurant fare. This was our second visit The asparagus tempura was something we’ve never had before but was perfectly cooked. Delicious. The Skuna Bay salmon was outstanding.
Tuesday nights at Adelle’s are the best kept secret. Mid week dinner with Friends, great food, awesome service and free corkage fee for bringing your own bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner. Make your reservation today.
Our server was great. She was attentive and made some good recommendations. The food was very good. I wasn't thrilled with the table, as we had a party of 5 and were stuck in a 4 person table, so it was cramped. It was also next to a window and cold. When we were seated the place was pretty empty so I'm not sure why we were placed where we were. I think they should look at valet parking as well. We will return.
Taco Tuesday! Delicious tacos, great ambience and attentive service plus....... the price is right. Our next outing will be on Hamburger Wednesday and then we’ll try Fried Chicken Thursday. Great food at a great price. We love it
Adelle's has been on our list to check out for some time. The food was just ok. I had the panic crusted white fish, fish was good but cubed potatoes and peas and carrots seemed to be of the frozen variety. My husband had the penne del mar, again just okay, sauce nothing special. Shared the peach crisp for dessert, crisp portion wasn't crisp, it was stale. Very disappointed wont be going back.
Everything was fine. We have eaten here before. The last time was about 2 years ago. Our experience was not very good then. We thought we would try it again. As I said everything was good. It’s just the menu was not very compelling. There were many items on it that were there 2 years ago. No changes. Not a lot of variety. The desserts were exceptionally uninspiring. It was not the exceptional experience we are used to at Adelles.
Fish was outstanding. Perfectly cooked. Beet salad had wonderful autumn flavors. Terrific meal. Owners are nested in their customers. Great meal
Very friendly and customer oriented wait staff. The food was outstanding
Delicious ! We went for our anniversary and they gave us a great dessert .
We've wanted to visit Adelle's since we saw it on Check Please years ago. We finally made it. We started our meal with the complimentary bread and butter. I'm not a bread eater normally but it was a treat. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The whipped butter was nice but it was lacking in salt. We had gnocchi and pork belly appetizer which was enjoyable with the bread dipped in the cream sauce. My husband thought the mushrooms were a little gamey and then realized it was the pork belly. That's not saying much for the pork belly. My husband ordered the pork schnitzel, spaetzle and cabbage. He thought his dish was flavorful. I ordered the Coq au Vin. I'm sad to say it was nothing special. I felt like I was eating a dish prepared in a breakfast restaurant. It didn't taste like it had been simmered for hours. The flavors were not rich. The chicken was moist and tasted good but the gravy and mushrooms seemed canned. I had high expectations and thought that the two times I made the dish myself blew this away. The malbec I had with dinner was delicious. The smoked old fashioned was also enjoyable. We intended to get dessert but didn't want to spend the money on a dish that was mediocre. We didn't feel like this restaurant had anything special that would bring us back. So sorry Adelle's. Maybe it was a bad night. On a high note, our server was great.
Server was extremely lackadaisical and did not attend to us whatsoever except for ordering our food for us. If it wasn't for the good food we would not return.
While one of my fave spots, this specific visit was a bit out of the norm. I felt a tad rushed with the service and my entree was ok, not great. Still enjoyable, overall.
Always a great place for dinner. Good service and great food
We celebrated a birthday. We were welcomed when we arrived and seated promptly in the main seating area. We both had schnitzel. One traditional pork version and the to other swordfish, which was kind of
bland but I had to try it since it was so unique... It is a nice place. The food is good, service is good, the atmosphere friendly and inviting. We will go back.
Longtime customer who has always been very satisfied with our experience here. this time was disappointing strictly from the food (appetizer and one entree) standpoint.
Appetizer "special" (fall/autumn theme) was tasteless/bland".
Hangar steak entree ordered well done came out medium rare. Immediately taken back to the kitchen and after only a few minutes was brought back out and was well done. Problem was trying to eat it. Meat was tough due to it being sliced incorrectly. With the grain (wrong) versus against the grain (correctly). My wife tried to eat some of the pieces but had to stop. Staff and management apologized profusely and correctly took the charge for that entree off the bill and comped us a dessert.
This was our first time at Adelle's. While it was good, it wasn't outstanding, and not a good value. The service was top notch, but the food wasn't. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable. We split a Caesar, which we expected to be more shareable at $8, and didn't like that much either. And since my entrée was $34 (lobster risotto), I wanted to be wowed. It was VERY rich and the combination of a bratwurst-like sausage with the lobster was odd. Most disappointing was the dessert - a taffy apple cake that was slightly dry, with not that much taffy apple topping. We live closer to Oak Brook and there are many other restaurants that are closer that we enjoy more.
We had a delightful dinner at Adele's. Even though it was a Friday evening our server, Mary Ann was attentive and knowledgeable about the entrees. The beet salad was delicious and enough to split between myself and my sister. The flat iron steak was cook to my taste although I think they could have sliced it thinner. The whitefish was delicately cooked and the au gratin potatoes were yummy.
Friends get together for the first time in a year.
We attended the Dry Creek Winery dinner at Adelle's. Every course of the prix fixe menu was very good and paired well with the wine served with the course. The lobster risotto and the pork medallion courses were especially good. Every course arrived very warm, not easy with 50+ diners.
We were seated in small room. Things rattled when a train went by. Noisy. We will find a new restaurant for our special occasions.
We tried their bar menu on Taco Tuesday and were not disappointed! Great food at very reasonable prices. We’ll
be back next Tuesday!
A wonderful restaurant with great service and food. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Excellent menu choices with fresh fish on the menu too. Definitely would recommend.
This was our first visit to Adelle’s and loved it. The atmosphere and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Our entrees were so very good. The whitefish is outstanding. Wheaton is fortunate to have such a lovely restaurant in their downtown area.
Have never been disappointed with our food at Adelle’s. Everything is delicious. Staff was attentive and accommodating. Definitely our favorite place to dine.
We have never been disappointed with this restaurant!
Great menu and friendly service, One of our favorite places to dine.
I love Adelle's. It never disappoints! From Herman at the bar to the servers......you can't go wrong at Adelle's. And there was a new item on the menu.....pan-seared tenderloins. Well...all I can say is perfection. Took a friend who had never been there.....she rated it 5 stars too! LOVE YOU, Adelle's!
We’ve been dining at Adelle’s for many years, even going back to their prior location. The menu and service has always been a treat- but not so much this time. While the service was friendly, it was not attentive. Entrees brought out before we were even 1/2 way done with our salads...more bread offered but not butter, as examples. Food was good, but not great like it usually is. Outdoor patio was a wonderful setting. Something was off this time, and hope it’s just a fluke
Adelle's has been a long time favorite for our family. This visit certainly lived up to our expectations. It is nice to have a standard in the level of service, food, drinks and atmosphere that you can always count on.
We enjoyed an appetizer of lightly dusted Calamari that is right up there with the best we have ever had.
The main dishes consisted of a white fish that was cooked to perfection and a crawfish, scallop and shrimp risotto, need I say more.
This place is always fantastic!!!
Great food and service as always. Thank you Todd.
Food was decent. The mushroom fingers were pretty good but the aioli needs some major help. Cheese board was strange as well. The server gave my table no sort of Introduction and rushed us through the whole meal. Not very personable and as a matter of fact, the gentlemen giving us water and clearing our plates was much friendlier. Won’t be going back.
The food, service, and ambiance were great.
Great ambiance! Delicious food!!
Food was decent but the service was good. Not worth the money though.
adelles is always a great place to dine.the menu is ever changing
the chef is terriffic.
Food quality and creativity never disappoints! We have been dining at Adele's for 10 + years.
The ambiance is warm and calm - never too noisy.
Food and service was excellent as usual. Lots of great choices and it’s all really good. We enjoyed a nice dinner with lots of ambience. Ken Slauf and Russ Adkins were playing their acoustic guitars and doing their Folky blues songs in the bar area which we always enjoy. We can hear it a little from the restaurant and then finish the evening in the bar area after dinner
