Only negative concern one of my guests who ordered pork chop special $28.00) reported it was cooked so well overdone that it was too tough and she could not chew it. It was ordered medium.
Love this place....never disappointed. The risotto is always our favorite.
We have looked forward to going to Adelle's for a while and saved it for a special occasion. It was our 45th wedding anniversary which I noted in the reservation and we also invited my 93 year old aunt and uncle and my cousin who is a wine importer in Minneapolis because we hoped this would be a special dining experience in the suburbs.
My main complaint is our seating location. The website shows this beautiful cozy room with white tablecloths. We were led thru the bar to a room which I can describe as an annex. It was in a corner and to my immediate right was an exit door with a shade drawn over it and to my immediate left on the wall was the fire alarm and a fire extinguisher! Really?
So disappointed and embarrassed for our invited guests.
I should have asked for a different table but was frankly in shock. Was reminded when we left and saw the room we should have been in in the first place. Reservation. Special Occasion.
had a nice waitress- food was very good - busy evening, need reservations to ensure prompt seating
We were very disappointed! The brunch menu was awful. The choices were not brunch worthy and the self service buffet was picked over. The fruit tray was empty, the egg casserole had only corners left as did the potato dish. The desserts were horrible too. The price was way to high for what we were given. I will never go back.
We had a great experience going to the special Easter brunch. The hot and cold buffets were delicious, and presented beautifully. I also liked that they had a choice of a few entrees and desserts that were in addition to the buffet and made to order. My only disappointment was that I called in advance to confirm that the entrees could be adapted to our two vegan family members, but that was not an option when we asked the server. It turned out okay, though, because they were happy with the options on the two buffets, and they adjusted our bill to reflect buffet only for those two people. We would have preferred an entree for them, though. But overall, I strongly recommend and will definitely go back to this restaurant.
We visited for Easter brunch, and it was delicious if a little pricey. The food was good enough that we'll try the restaurant again for a regular meal.
I brought another group of girlfriends because of a previous visit that went so well. This second group was just as impressed with the food, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere. Adelle’s is conveniently located and a real gem.
Amazing cuisine! Such a lovely restaurant!
Best new find. :)
Fabulous - as always delicious risotto!
Lovely ambiance, delicious and creative menu, and reasonable prices. We had a lovely time and it is so nice to be able to have a quiet conversation during our dinner
Top notch staff, surroundings, food, atmosphere. The menu is s little thin, but wonderful chef specials filled the gap. I’m not a dessert guy, but there were too many, delicious “must haves” to pass up.
Great experience, we’ll be back.
loved the quality of food, dishes we had were delicious (hats off to the chef!), and we will be back again
Adelles had our reservation and table ready to go when we arrived. Salmon dinner with sweet potatoes and kale delicious and flavorful. Best kale with healthy sauce I've ever had! Great cup of coffee to finish our meal. Met the owner, friendly.
Overall we had a nice experience at Adelle's. We were greeted then seated promptly. Our waitress asked if we were attending the concert at Wheaton College. When we advised that we were she suggested we get our order placed as soon as possible as to allow us plenty of time to dine before having to depart for the concert. We did not feel rushed and were very happy with the service and the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.
The service was excellent and friendly, the food was delicious and the maitre ‘d was very helpful. Looking forward to going back there to hear live jazz.
This was our first time dining at Adelle's. Loved every minute of our experience. Music was great.
I dined with three others for dinner. We all ordered the chicken Parmesan and we all loved it. Great portions and delicious sides to go along with it. The mixed drinks were exceptionally delicious for whatever reason (vodka soda) and the ambiance was pleasant and quiet enough for conversations to take place comfortably. Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive and very accommodating. We all agreed the evening was an enjoyable event and Adelle’s is on our repeat list of favorite restaurants.
The acoustic guitar player was fantastic! A great addition to the bar area. Small plates were delicious and great to split for a girls' night out.
My wife and I were there for our 10th Anniversary! The food was fabulous as always with a surprise dessert! Debbie And Todd are great people and we consider ourselves lucky to have Adelles to dine at.
Fantastic restaurant with the most wonderful food. Lovely ambience and excellent service. Perfect for special occasions. We go here for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Best restaurant in DuPage County and beyond.
Solid meal. Nothing that really stood out, but everything was good. Prices reasonable - except the $16 “regular” manhattan. Service was on par with the meal. Prefer several restaurants in Naperville for a nice meal out, but would go back to Adelle’s sometime.
Excellent food! We enjoyed the combinations with the entrees as well, and the desserts were also fantastic.
Our first visit; everything was superb, including dessert and drinks! Beautiful atmosphere, nice date restaurant! Thoroughly enjoyed our time and food!
Superb restaurant that is the best in Wheaton. The ambiance is warm & cozy and you can talk without a lot of background noise. The from-scratch kitchen is fantastic with Chef John working his magic all the time.
Special occasion - 14th anniversary of one of our favorite restaurants. Congrats to Debbie, Todd, Chef John, and all of the fine staff - many of whom have been there since opening day - for a consistently enjoyable dining experience. Thanks! Best wishes for many, many more! As usual - the soup, bluegills, salad, flatiron steak (and those fries, yum!), and branzino rocked! Chocolate tart rocked also - caramel, dark chocolate, and sea salt - what a combo!
We like Adelles very much for all the above reasons. I had salmon with a light curry cream sauce. It was terrific. Especially great on their summer patio.
Have been dining at Adelle's for over 14 years. Owners really know how to run a restaurant. Chef is very creative even with ordinary ingredients. Whitefish is outstanding but so is everything.
Very pleased with meal and service. Enjoyed the fact that the noise level was so low you could actually carry on a conversation.
This is a great restaurant! I have heard Adelles advertised on the COD jazz radio many times and we decided to try it as a belated Valentines Celebration. It exceeded my wife's and my expectations in every way. Great music, food and service. From now on this will be "Our Place" to celebrate and entertain.
Top notch food and service, suprised my 7 year old with a chocolate chip cookie desert. Food perfect from apps to desert. Chef John knows his stuff. Will be back soon.
If a restaurant has poor background music and lukewarm food it kills my experience. Adelle’s delivered on both. Music just right in terms of volume and styles...yes, plural. A nice mix of different music. Trust me it matters. Food was hot. And wonderful; good menu choices. Service with a smile and staff attentive. Wine list full of choices and one of the best in the western suburbs with quality, premium wines; some well known and some other good finds.
We (3) visited this restaurant recently for Valentines Day. They were fully booked. They used a fixed price approach with various options for appetizer, entree and desert. Any wine or cocktails were extra. With the exception of the Halibut, which was a little tough. Though a little pricey, everything (food, service, ambiance) was excellent. We will return and do recommend.
Had a very good meal as did everyone in our party of 4. The service was great and the halibut and duck were cooked perfectly. Even thought the restraunt was full, it was as surprisingly quiet. Good experience all around.
We went for our second special occasion with a Prix Fix menu. The choices were great and the food was wonderful, as was the service. Highly recommended!
Excellent food, GREAT service! One of my new favorite places to dine and drink.
Enjoyable and delicious Fat Tuesday dinner. Fried oysters were outstanding and the shellfish stew and mardi gras risotto were marvelous.
Tried Adelle’s after reading reviews on Open Table. Drove over from Elmhurst. Very creative menu with almost more specials than the base menu. We were seated promptly. After ordering our food, a man (not our server) came over to open the bottle of wine we brought with us. Turned out to be the co-owner. His wife came over later, too. What great service. The food was outstanding. Just as important, my wife and I could actually hear each other talk. We’ll be back and bring friends.
The meal was great. But this is the second time I have been there and they ran out of the special that I wanted.
