Top notch staff, surroundings, food, atmosphere. The menu is s little thin, but wonderful chef specials filled the gap. I’m not a dessert guy, but there were too many, delicious “must haves” to pass up.
Great experience, we’ll be back.
loved the quality of food, dishes we had were delicious (hats off to the chef!), and we will be back again
Adelles had our reservation and table ready to go when we arrived. Salmon dinner with sweet potatoes and kale delicious and flavorful. Best kale with healthy sauce I've ever had! Great cup of coffee to finish our meal. Met the owner, friendly.
Overall we had a nice experience at Adelle's. We were greeted then seated promptly. Our waitress asked if we were attending the concert at Wheaton College. When we advised that we were she suggested we get our order placed as soon as possible as to allow us plenty of time to dine before having to depart for the concert. We did not feel rushed and were very happy with the service and the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.
The service was excellent and friendly, the food was delicious and the maitre ‘d was very helpful. Looking forward to going back there to hear live jazz.
This was our first time dining at Adelle's. Loved every minute of our experience. Music was great.
I dined with three others for dinner. We all ordered the chicken Parmesan and we all loved it. Great portions and delicious sides to go along with it. The mixed drinks were exceptionally delicious for whatever reason (vodka soda) and the ambiance was pleasant and quiet enough for conversations to take place comfortably. Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive and very accommodating. We all agreed the evening was an enjoyable event and Adelle’s is on our repeat list of favorite restaurants.
The acoustic guitar player was fantastic! A great addition to the bar area. Small plates were delicious and great to split for a girls' night out.
My wife and I were there for our 10th Anniversary! The food was fabulous as always with a surprise dessert! Debbie And Todd are great people and we consider ourselves lucky to have Adelles to dine at.
Fantastic restaurant with the most wonderful food. Lovely ambience and excellent service. Perfect for special occasions. We go here for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Best restaurant in DuPage County and beyond.
Solid meal. Nothing that really stood out, but everything was good. Prices reasonable - except the $16 “regular” manhattan. Service was on par with the meal. Prefer several restaurants in Naperville for a nice meal out, but would go back to Adelle’s sometime.
Excellent food! We enjoyed the combinations with the entrees as well, and the desserts were also fantastic.
Our first visit; everything was superb, including dessert and drinks! Beautiful atmosphere, nice date restaurant! Thoroughly enjoyed our time and food!
Superb restaurant that is the best in Wheaton. The ambiance is warm & cozy and you can talk without a lot of background noise. The from-scratch kitchen is fantastic with Chef John working his magic all the time.
Special occasion - 14th anniversary of one of our favorite restaurants. Congrats to Debbie, Todd, Chef John, and all of the fine staff - many of whom have been there since opening day - for a consistently enjoyable dining experience. Thanks! Best wishes for many, many more! As usual - the soup, bluegills, salad, flatiron steak (and those fries, yum!), and branzino rocked! Chocolate tart rocked also - caramel, dark chocolate, and sea salt - what a combo!
We like Adelles very much for all the above reasons. I had salmon with a light curry cream sauce. It was terrific. Especially great on their summer patio.
Have been dining at Adelle's for over 14 years. Owners really know how to run a restaurant. Chef is very creative even with ordinary ingredients. Whitefish is outstanding but so is everything.
Very pleased with meal and service. Enjoyed the fact that the noise level was so low you could actually carry on a conversation.
This is a great restaurant! I have heard Adelles advertised on the COD jazz radio many times and we decided to try it as a belated Valentines Celebration. It exceeded my wife's and my expectations in every way. Great music, food and service. From now on this will be "Our Place" to celebrate and entertain.
Top notch food and service, suprised my 7 year old with a chocolate chip cookie desert. Food perfect from apps to desert. Chef John knows his stuff. Will be back soon.
If a restaurant has poor background music and lukewarm food it kills my experience. Adelle’s delivered on both. Music just right in terms of volume and styles...yes, plural. A nice mix of different music. Trust me it matters. Food was hot. And wonderful; good menu choices. Service with a smile and staff attentive. Wine list full of choices and one of the best in the western suburbs with quality, premium wines; some well known and some other good finds.
We (3) visited this restaurant recently for Valentines Day. They were fully booked. They used a fixed price approach with various options for appetizer, entree and desert. Any wine or cocktails were extra. With the exception of the Halibut, which was a little tough. Though a little pricey, everything (food, service, ambiance) was excellent. We will return and do recommend.
Had a very good meal as did everyone in our party of 4. The service was great and the halibut and duck were cooked perfectly. Even thought the restraunt was full, it was as surprisingly quiet. Good experience all around.
We went for our second special occasion with a Prix Fix menu. The choices were great and the food was wonderful, as was the service. Highly recommended!
Excellent food, GREAT service! One of my new favorite places to dine and drink.
Enjoyable and delicious Fat Tuesday dinner. Fried oysters were outstanding and the shellfish stew and mardi gras risotto were marvelous.
Tried Adelle’s after reading reviews on Open Table. Drove over from Elmhurst. Very creative menu with almost more specials than the base menu. We were seated promptly. After ordering our food, a man (not our server) came over to open the bottle of wine we brought with us. Turned out to be the co-owner. His wife came over later, too. What great service. The food was outstanding. Just as important, my wife and I could actually hear each other talk. We’ll be back and bring friends.
The meal was great. But this is the second time I have been there and they ran out of the special that I wanted.
I had the pork chop porterhouse which was one of the dinners on the special menu. It was just OK. My wife had the regular menu salmon, which the waiter said was better then the special menu salmon. She did not like it at all. Very dry. I ordered the Caesar salad and it was the worst Caesar I have ever had. Have been coming here for years and was very disappointed the last two times. Guess I will just stick to Ivy when I want to dine in Wheaton.
We were seated promptly but the seat directly in front of the kitchen door was less then desirable for our group of four to sit and enjoy a nice dinner.
Our server was very nice and attentive but the bus service was slow and we kept needing to ask for water.
Two of us enjoyed our meals and two of us found them a bit lacking. Whatever they used to ‘spice ‘ the salmon and kale was too salty and left me with indigestion.
This is the best restaurant ever. The food is always superb. The ambience is great, as well as the service. There is always a wonderful selection to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Disappointed. Boxed mashed potatoes served with meatloaf. But the guy at the table next to me got REAL mashed potatoes (could see the red skins mixed in) with his steak. Very disappointed. Waitress seemed uninterested in being there and forgot to apply out restaurant week discount.
My wife and I love the place. Have been a customer since they opened up on the east side of Wheaton years ago.
Adelle’s is my new favorite restaurant. The food was outstanding, and the live jazz was even better.
As always food was wonderful, service was attentive but not oppressive. No corkage fee Tuesday, means you can bring that special bottle you've been thinking of opening.
Jazz Thursdays - WDCB - Well-polished performers!
Wonderful--perfect ambience. No rush and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
Bar service---wonderful signature cocktails
Dinner - apps/entree a hit! Tuna tartare, lobster/caviar deviled eggs, trout with an amazing hollandaise!
We enjoy our dinners very much!!!!
The food and service are always great. This occasion we went on a Friday for live music. The guitarist was incredible. Yet, you could have low conversations while he was playing. Perfect evening.
I was totally unimpressed by this restsurant. I was expecting more based on the glowing reviews. To start off the hostess barely said s word to us and looked as if she was mad at the world- totally unwelcoming! Secondly, the decor is atrocious! It is one thing when a restaurant simply does not try, but a totally different thing when they make s definite attempt at creating a look that just does not work. Adelle’s decor appeared to be attending an industrial theme but had mission style lighting fixtures and overall was cold feeling and dull. The food was abut better than average. The appetizer of pear and date bruschetta was soggy and the carrot soup was bland, but at least it was hot. The cuts of meat?chicken and pork) were both very tender and delicious. The service was the highlight of the experience. Our server was extremely friendly, attentive, and very accommodating to my special requests. Overall, the best part of the dinner was the service.
We enjoy Adelle’s, the food is always very good. The ambiance is very nice. The owners are usually present and make sure everything is taken care of properly.
