Been to Adelle's a number of time. Love the bar for the ambiance, food and service! Excellent!
Everything was great. Food, service & atmosphere. We had a party of 8 & enjoyed Adele’s.
We have been going to Adelles for many years and for many special occasions. It is painful to write a less than outstanding review. In short, the menu is just not what it used to be and the quality of food is not the same. I suspect that the Pandemic has severely impacted their staffing, especially in the kitchen. We love the place and our service was especially good, but the food was mediocre and the price far exceeded the value of our dinner. We were disappointed and will most likely not return until some sense of normalcy returns.
I would love it if Adele's fixed up their patio to look like it used to look with all the lights lit and the china flowers cleaned up and lit and the greenery maintained.
Great food. Service a bit slow but good.
Service was excellent. Ambience on the patio was generally nice. There was some traffic noise. Although the mussels were prepared and tasted wonderful, the mussels themselves seemed to be sadly small and non-existent in the shell. This is a problem with the distributor and not the restaurant. The staff was very gracious and bent over backwards to make things right.
Our 25th anniversary
Excellent, as always!
I have been coming to Adele’s for 20 years. The calamari was delicious! The tandoori chicken was good -a little dry- but the wedge potatoes were not cooked completely. Needs more yogurt sauce on the whole meal. My friend had the risotto said it was wonderful.
Best restaurant in Wheaton. I simply don't understand the nay-sayers, especially to ding a local (really any) restaurant during this time. The food is fresh, creative, made from scratch and you can taste the difference. Fantastic cocktails - huge pour on my martini and my husband's bourbon - made him super happy ;) . So glad they're making it through covid and restrictions even as it seems they need more help. Big "help wanted" sign in the entrance, but we didn't notice a difference. Adelle's didn't miss a beat with our drinks, food, and the service we enjoyed while sitting in the outdoor patio (really pretty decorated and lighted). Maybe the people who don't appreciate the expense of making fresh food like Adelle's need to go to the chains where all the ingredients are recycled throughout the menu?
Great place great food and an awesome ambiance.
Another wonderful evening at Adelle's. We sat outside this early fall night.
Enjoyed the evening, slowly darkening skies, a very slight breeze and
conversation with friends. Ordered mostly from the sharables menu and
was able to sample a number of great tastes. Service was great, there
when needed but never intrusive.
Thanks Adelle's staff!
Outdoor patio was great. Good decorations, relaxing music piped in, spacing between tables was good. Food was high quality and prepared with care. Recommend the veal chop and the salmon.
Best meal I have had out in awhile. Service, food, patio and clientele was all super nice and relaxing.
White fish was very dry. Veal chop was fatty.
food and service were great. Really enjoy their beautiful outdoor patio.
We sat outside on the patio - now protected from the street with plants and an overhead awning. Scallops and veal chop were amazing, as was the tuna appetizer. Highly recommend!
First time visiting Adele’s, and it was very enjoyable. It was a Thursday, so there was a nice jazz duo playing in the bar. We asked to be seated where we could have a table, as opposed to a high top, but still enjoy the music.
We had their fresh warm bread to go with our cocktails, and choose the Salmon and the Rigatoni for our meals. All items were quite good. The Rigatoni was prepared with house-made Italian sausage, a good dose of garlic, and just the right amount of red-pepper to add a touch of heat.
Our server, who was also the bartender, was very pleasant and helpful in describing food items. He always seemed to sense when we needed him, and the bus staff took care of keeping our water glasses full, and dishes cleared away promptly.
We ordered the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies as a take home desert. Although these smelled delightful when arriving at the table, they were just average when we had them later. A bit disappointing when considering the price. I think all prices were a little high, but might be in line for the area. All in all, I can see us returning for another meal.
Had another great meal with friends last evening. The great food, service, and the experience doesn't change. One of our dining favorites!
Sat outside which was nice .
Food was overpriced for the quality but tasted fine ( mediocre)
Possibly the waitress was having a bad night so her service was not very friendly . One Previous dining experience was more positive . Maybe it’s all covid related ?
Most likely would not return .
There really is no place like Adelles in the area. Always a winner! My fiancé and I think of going somewhere else and always circle back to adelles. Fresh, innovative menu made from high quality ingredients. I always choose a seafood entree or the chef made fresh pastas. My fiancé goes for meat and was wild about the veal chop. The staff (we always seem to see the same happy faces) are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Great craft cocktails too! Added bonus…they have a UV air sanitizing system, but also a wonderful courtyard. We always wonder why the place isn’t packed every night, but it’s not the least expensive in the area. Just the one who serves the best food!
The outdoor patio was spectacular. Since it is a scratch kitchen, the food is not reheated or frozen when ordered. Having my first choice be out means I have to come back earlier to have it.
Highly recommended. Great bar for casual dining.
Fantastic white fish!!
Great place for our anniversary, food and service were excellent
Restaurant is nice on the inside and out. Our waiter did not know anything about the menu. Asked about a particular wine, he just reread the description on the menu. Ordered the meatloaf, (risky I know!) the taste was there but it was dry. The green beans were very fresh and delicious but the mashed potatoes were like glue. The entire meal was cold. Husband ordered the whitefish - presentation was lacking and it too was not even warm. Lacking flavor and seasoning. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Great food and wonderful service! Lovely place for the family, date night or special occasions.
Okay so food was outstanding BUT, it was eerily quiet in the restaurant. Even with other tables present no music or anything to provide a little background noise. It almost felt uncomfortable to talk because it was like everyone would be able to hear our conversation. Service was average. Not necessarily what you would expect for this price point but it wasn’t bad. Mixed drinks were horrendous and over-priced. They have a huge drink menu and out of the 4 we ordered at the table no one liked theirs. Proportions were off and flavors were just a miss. My suggestion. Narrow the drink menu down to 10-12 and have the bartenders just get good at perfecting those. Also $18 for a basic Manhattan is absurd. This is by no means on the level of a Gibsons or Mastros where you would expect those prices. Just my 2cents.
Food was disappointing, and much to expensive for the quality.
I haven’t been to Adele ‘s in a few years; it used to be one of my favorite restaurants.
My food was not hot, more like lukewarm. I had scallops (4), they were good. They were served on a bed of roasted sweet corn; it was ok.
Not worth $36.00.
My sisters meal did not look very appealing.
I will not go back.
Exceptional dining experience and cuisine. Ambiance and presentation esp. nice
Great experience. Sat 20 of us in private room off bar.
Outstanding good! Superior service!!
Way to go Julie,:)
Outdoor patio, no corkage Tuesdays, solid food and service make a satisfying experience
Despite getting a new chef last year, Adelle’s hasn’t missed a beat. The updated menu has a bunch of great new selections. My hangar steak was cooked perfectly and our fried Brussels sprouts appetizer was delicious with a nice crunchy texture. I’m not sure if our server was Marianne or Mary Ann, but she was excellent. Friendly, engaging and helpful as were the support staff. Our group of wine lovers takes advantage of free corkage Tuesdays. Nice stems are provided, with extras as needed along with ice buckets. Please tip generously if bringing your own wine in. Tuesday! We will remain regulars and love supporting them. No relationship or other affiliation outside of being consistently satisfied customers. Cheers!
Great outdoor dining. Excellent service. The food is generally top notch but the new version of risotto was a big miss. Dry and bland - not creamy at all. AND overpriced at $33. The appetizers were excellent. Ditto desserts.
A wonderful evening all around! The courtyard has a lovely atmosphere in which to enjoy the food, which was delicious. They even brought us two glasses of Prosecco since we had indicated we were celebrating our anniversary in the Open Table reservation form. We can t wait to go back!
The food was cooked to perfection. Service, excellent. Overall we had a delightful experience. We will return. Make reservations in advance. The patio area is quaint and secluded. Very very nice.
Good food and service. Prices have been substantially increased, somewhat understandable given the pandemic.
Patio dining does not get better. We return again and again.
