Great food and great service. Menu is small but you cannot go wrong with any choice.
We celebrated my husband's birthday and all enjoyed the food and the nice pace for the dinner service. Enjoyed some appetizers as well as the meatloaf and chicken being favorites and enjoyed. Not all of the desserts were outstanding - would recommend the caramel gelato.
Our server was hands down the worst I’ve ever had. She was rude, unattentive, and acted bothered to be waiting on our table.
When it came time to pay, we split the check on cards and left cash for the tip. There was a $5 balance left after she ran the cards (we left 20% gratuity plus the $5 balance) amd wanted to let us know we owed a balance despite being told upfront we’d be paying the remainder and tip in cash. As we were getting ready to leave, she pushed one of the ladies in our party to get the check and open the billfold as we were all exiting our booth. It was clear she thought we were trying to stiff her.
Just the most unpleasant birthday dinner I’ve ever had.
The food and service were great.
Had a large group for NYE and enjoyed Adelle’s prefixed menu. The food was amazing and the service was knowledgeable and attentive. We’ll definitely be going back to enjoy the bar scene and Chef’s small plates, especially when they have live music.
Food was amazing. Service was on the slow side and only saw our waitress a couple times. Other people would bring our food and when they did they didn't know who it went to. We we're never asked how our meal was. It was fantastic but feel they should of asked. Drinks took a bit to long to get. Also ran out of Kettle One vodka on New year's Eve at 7:15. Hmmmm
We have gone for our Anniversary on New Year's Eve twice and both times the Prix Fixe menu was delicious and provided options for both of our tastes. We will go back for sure!
We were at Adelle's for New Year's Eve. It was 3-course prefixed dinner. Even though it was expensive, the dishes were delicious. We will go back for regular dinner selections.
Only blemish was incorrect entree brought to one of us. Problem was quickly rectified. At the price, recommend complimentary glass of some bubbly wine since it was New Year's Eve.
My family and I ate at Adelle’s in a Christmas Eve and it was a lovely evening. Everyone enjoyed their food— we collectively had the pork schnitzel, the risotto, the steak, and the white fish, and everything was delicious. Our waitress was attentive during a busy night and overall service was good. She recommended a Cabernet that we ordered a bottle of and it was delicious! It was a crowded and festive evening so of course things were a bit loud and at times slow in water refills etc, but given the holiday this was not unusual and didn’t detract from our overall enjoyment. This was a great meal for the holiday and I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion!
Cheese and charcuterie board was just so-so. One of the meats/sausages was so tough it could not be cut or chewed. The bread pudding was very good. We enjoyed our evening
We love the whole experience every time we are at Adelle’s.
We had been to Adelles last summer and LOVED it. Everything was spot on and the food was delicious and creative. We were excited to go again and bragged to friends about how great it was. We finally returned this past weekend. Our waiter was quite helpful, but not present too much. I would expect the level of service from Chili's or Applebees, but NOT from Adelles. Our drinks went empty for a LONG time. When our food arrived, we got to play "food quiz" with the person bringing us our food (not our server). He would hold up a plate as tell us what he had in his hand, and we had to raise our hand or say "that's me" to get our food. This drives me nuts. Again - to be expected at Chili's or Applebees....but not at a fine dining restaurant like Adelles. They should know specifically what each patron ordered and deliver it to that person without the "Food quiz". The deviled eggs were "THE BEST", as were the cocktails. However, our waiter recommended the Cassoulet, a white bean stew with garlic sausage, duck confit and smoked pork. It was overcooked and the sausage was bland and grainy. The duck and pork were unrecognizable and seemed to disappear in the bean stew. Overall the dish had OK flavor, but had a mushy texture and seemed a bit overpriced at $22 or $26 (don't remember). My wife had the 1/2 chicken, and it was dry and overcooked. Water service was spotty and our re-order of drinks took much longer than it should have. When dessert time rolled around, our waiter asked if we were interested, and we said "Yes". After a LONG period, he returned with a dessert menu and an apology that he had forgotten and thought "someone else" was bringing the menu to us. Hmm - I thought HE was our waiter. Not sure if we will be returning. This was a VERY disappointing experience, at least not when we paid $250 for a dinner for 4 people. We probably could have brought it to their attention at the time, but when one is out with friends, its kind of uncomfortable to do so...
At the start of our meal, we inquired about an appetizer due to an allergy. We were ensured that it did not contain the allergen and proceeded to order it. When it arrived, the allergen in question was a quarter of the entire plate. We asked for the entire appetizer to be removed and ordered 2 different appetizers. The waiter only managed to catch one of them and when it was delivered, we inquired as to the time expectancy of the second, only to be told it was never ordered and that it would interrupt the service of our main course if we still wanted it. We decided against the second appetizer and only one of us was able to enjoy the appetizer course. When the main courses arrived, everything was fantastic and well prepared. We opted out of dessert and asked for the check. The waiter proceeded to hand us the wrong check and took an extra 5 minutes in producing the correct one. Drinks were not offered to be refilled throughout the meal, apart from water which was the responsibility of the runners rather than the waiter.
Food was great, server was no good, management however made up for it with a generous credit.
We've been to Adelle's several times. This time was disappointing. We were seated at our table and then proceeded to sit there for approximately 10+ minutes and finally had to ask a wait staff who our server was.
Once the waiter came to our table there was no apology for his inattentiveness and the remainder of his service was sub par. Also, my husband ordered the risotto dish for the evening which featured crab meat. It was hard to find the crab meat.
What is not to like? Great food! Good drinks! Good wine! Great atmosphere! Music in the bar in Thursday’s! We have dad dinner in the dining room- cozy, elegant and inviting, wine and small plates in the bar ( with music)- warm and friendly and dinner by the fire- always a great experience!
Food good, atmosphere was very good
The food was odor. The server was exceptional,. very courteous and helpful.
Adelle's is a neighborhood gem that you would not find if you were not from the area, but worth the hunt! The service is friendly and attentive, and the menu changes almost daily based upon seasonal availability. Nothing else like it in immediate area. Convenient parking.
I was very disappointed in our experience. Waitress seemed annoyed and bothered by our presence, bus boy was fantastic. Food was ok and overpriced and ambience was lacking. Too bad as this place seems like it could do much better.
They easily accommodated our group of 11 women. The food was great, service was awesome, we were in the back room and the noise level was perfect so we could hear eachother.
Love, love love Adelle's. Perfect for a nice, quiet, scrumptious meal.
Have been going to Adelles for many years . One of my favorite items is the pork tenderloin.
My first time at Adelle’s and it won’t be my last. Boyfriend surprised me with a date night here and it was amazing! I had foie gras to start, cooked perfectly. Then was torn between entrees and decided on the risotto OMG it was amazing! My boyfriend had the baby octopus which was yum and sea bass which was scrumptious. The service was sublime.
Definitely a winner!!!
Prices too expensive for the portion size. We had to eat bread and butter after we finished our dinner because we were still hungry.
Great food, service is prompt and very friendly. Always a great dining experience.
This always seems to be our "go to place" for a special evening with a ladies' group
Consistent - never a bad experience in well over a dozen. Visits.
Food & drinks were excellent but waiter admitted he didn’t drop order off in timely manner. Our 6:30 reservation didn’t have meals arrive til 8:30! Manager didn’t come our first round of drinks so overall a nice evening out.
I had not been to Adelle's in quite a while and a group of us attended a Christmas concert in Wheaton so it seemed a good choice. Two member of our party of four had the salmon and were quite pleased. My partner had the pork schnitzel and I had the hanger steak. His was so drenched in butter he felt it had little taste other than that. My hanger steak, though done medium rare, was so gristly that I could barely eat half. While this is not a prime piece of meat ever, if the restaurant can't get cuts that are edible it shouldn't be on the menu. My au gratin potatoes were excellent. We all had the house salad which was fine but not thrilling.
Wines were average. Our bill of $200 before tip was a lot for what we ate, not high by fine restaurant standards, but we didn't have a superior meal.
The service was very good. Our waiter was attentive without being obtrusive. We tipped based on service, not food. I will not be hurrying back to Adelle's nor urging others to go there.
‘Twas a bit cold at table, even though we sat near their fireplace. My pork snitzel was great, app was fine but the apple crisp had far too little apples
sat in the side room to the bar. excellent spot to hear the live music from the bar, but still able to hold a conversation with friends. Menu is revised for the fall and had some wonderful surprises. new Napa Cabbage Caesar salad was excellent.
Beautiful space, great service but very average food, especially for the price. The portion size on everything we ordered was very small as well.
This is a solid place for a good dinning experience in the western suburbs. I feel it’s lost a step in the kitchen compared to years past (my wife’s salmon was over done and over seasoned). But the service and ambience are still great.
The atmosphere is lovely, we were able to converse easily. The food was delicious. Loved the butternut squash soup especially.
As a regular visitor I am never disappointed. A early Christmas holiday get together and we had a wonderful time with great food and service.
Adelle’s Has excellent food and very friendly service. Adelle’s also has music in the bar that we did not visit this time. Adelle’s has become a favorite of ours.
Adelle's was very good - tasty food, skillful wait staff. We had a problem with an unstable table, but that was quickly fixed.
