Our server was AWESOME, great personality and fantastic service! Food was okay, my steak came somewhat cold. The most annoying part there was no hostess at the entrance, she was wrapping silverware around the bar area, I told her the time and name on the reservation and she forgot to check us in with open table . The restaurant was EMPTY, she definitely had tons of tons to take care of that.
Hi FashionStar, thank you for your recent visit to Adega. We are glad that our team provided excellent service, we are sorry to hear that the food fell short of you expectations, and ours. We've taken your thoughts to heart and we're working with our team to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you again and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Adega soon. The Metropolitan at the 9
Our server was absolutely amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and right as we were seated he brought us champagne flutes. He had great recommendations for menu and drink items and was very personable!
Thank you, Sierra. And happy belated birthday! We are incredibly grateful that you took the time out to leave us this review. Our company values customer satisfaction as top priority. Its customers like you that make our job wonderful. We look forward to serving you again! The Metropolitan at the 9
The kitchen staff, hostess, and server made it VERY CLEAR that they were overwhelmed in the kitchen. So much so that we could hear everyone talk about how busy they were the entire time we were seated. I’ve been there and get that it can be tough when your team is thin, but your customers shouldn’t hear about it. Very unprofessional to say the least. The only reason I gave three stars is for the ambiance and the food at least came out hot. Management needs to be more involved to empower employees in the kitchen to be set up for success.
Hi Cassandra, thank you for writing this review. We apologize for the experience you had during your recent visit. You are right, you should never hear complaints from our team. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that standard was not met. We spoke with our team and made some improvements to ensure this does not happen again. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Kind Regards, The Metropolitan at the 9
Amazing food and service. Will return in the future for dinner.

Very nice place in a very nice hotel. Unsure why they pick hire such a rude waitress. Treated us terribly because we "weren't who she expected" when we showed up for our party of 6. Then she proceeded to tell me "she's not dealing with this sh**t" I spent $300 on nothing basically. Terrible service . And food was bad too. Lisa needs to get her life.
Hi Bigpapa, we are so sorry to hear about your negative experience. Please know that we strive for all of our customers to have excellent service when visiting Adega. We have since corrected these issues and have met with our staff to ensure this does not happen moving forward. Our deepest apologies for your experience, and we hope that you come back to see how we are improving. We appreciate your feedback, and wish you all the best. Kind Regards, The Metropolitan at the 9
Very affordable for good quality food. Rosemary cocktail VERY good
Excellent food and service. Everyone was extremely friendly and seemed to love their job.
Valentine's day was our second recent visit here after not going for a few years. It took about 25 minutes to get our first drink. 45 minutes in we decided to order another. My husband had to hunt down our waitress to order another drink. Katie was not a good waitress. She was not friendly and very unenthused to be working to say the least. Not sure if she was in a bad mood r/t having to work on Valentine's day or if this is her usual personality. I will give her credit for crediting our second drink but would of preferred to pay for both drinks and had someone who is serving the public leave their bad mood at home. On a lighter note the food was excellent so complements to the chef. Also Michael the bartender at Ledger Bar was super friendly and made some great drinks.
It was Valentine’s and our dinner was perfect in every way!
let me start by the service team that is friendly, engaging and very attentive.
The ambiance is wonderful for a celebratory meal, a business meal or a quiet evening with a special person. You can hear your dinner mates and enjoy a conversation in an active environment that is not too loud but with enough action to be enjoyable.
The food is consistently top notch. The sweet basil and spinach salad is phenomenal. The Octopus appetizer is one of the best I have had. You could even make this a main course. Great for sharing. The bread is fresh and herb filled.
While known for steak, the salmon and chicken are my favorites. Both cooked to perfection.
Desert is simple, pick the chocolate beignets. In addition the wine list is of excellent quality.
Excellent service and great food! Made for an excellent date!
Good food, nice ambiance and good service. I ordered a steak, my wife ordered scallops and we were both very pleased.
Adega is a nice brunch restaurant. I was not very thrilled with my meal choice. I had a frittata that was dry and over cooked. I gave it overall four stars because everyone else I was dining with enjoyed their meal. Maybe I just had bad luck that day. Anyway, I chose to have mimosas. Those are great!
It was a pretty good experience the food was fresh but needed a bit more flavor. I️ felt like each bite was missing something but the desert was amazing and the view was beautiful !
I love the atmosphere and the proximity to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. I had lots of hopes with the selection on the menu. The food was fine but nothing extraordinary. The wine selection was nice and the Prosecco perfectly chilled and served. We were promptly and politely greeted at the entrance. The server was nice but interrupted conversations a lot. A pet peeve when dining....
My wife and I have made it a yearly tradition to come to Adega every year for my birthday. From the food to the service, the ambiance to the convenience of the 9, everything about it has come to be my own personal standard to which I judge fine dining. I’ve brought large groups of my family, and small groups of friends. It gives me such great satisfaction to see them love their experience as well, and that they trust my recommendation. That changed yesterday, unfortunately.
The main reason I love Adega is the iberico. The warm, salty crisp of the perfectly seasoned crust, the tenderness of the perfectly cooked meat, the presentation of the steak on the plate... it’s perfection. During my last trip, it was brought to my attention that the iberico is leaving Adega and to be honest, that’s probably a good thing.
Our server was unbelievably gracious enough to tell me there were a few iberico remaining in the kitchen. I was overjoyed due to the fact a friend I had brought with me had never experienced iberico. To my surprise, the iberico was no longer the flavorful masterpiece I’ve grown accustomed to, but oddly cut into long well-done strips that tasted like pork chop you would find at a Cracker Barrel. I suppose that’s why we were never asked how we would like our iberico cooked, because it seems medium rare was not an option with this new method.
I won’t say the meal was awful. Our server was absolutely wonderful. I wish I could remember his name but it’s slipped my mind as I write this. The restaurant was beautiful as always. The fried octopus was on point, per the usual. It’s just that the iberico, the main reason for coming in the first place, was very sad. Had this been my first time at Adega, I can’t say with confidence I would ever return, let alone, recommend it to family, friends or colleagues.
Also, my friend and I both received $500 in parking tickets. I’d love to explain this wonderful surprise but I’ve hit the limit for characters in this review.
William was a fantastic server off the bat! Great conversation, funny, attentive, knew the menu and kept up on drinks. Food was so good! We will be back 100%
Outstanding service and high quality dishes served at Adega.
Food and service was good. There was a vein in my $55 steak so, food gets 4 star.
Amazing menu and diverse wine list. Overall an excellent experience
Had the octopus appetizer - little chewy. Caesar salad was good. The secreto iberico was too well done and server asked if I wanted a sharp knife, but forgot to bring it to me. My girlfriends fillet was very good. The beignets were very good, but it would be nice if they had some different sauces to go with them. Server was friendly.
The french toast was divine. and the Mimosa’s were great.
Great flavors, creative combinations, excellent wine list and exceptional service. We had charred octopus, scallops, ciopino pasta and a ribeye. The cocktails were thoughtful and seasonally relevant. The wine and spirit offerings would satisfy most everyone, including some rare options. We can’t wait to return-
Great food. Kind of pricey. Great location downtown.
Great good and service!!! Location is amazing and ambiance is great.
They were a little busy at first and were a little slow, but then things picked up and everything was excellent!
New Years dinner great service from Kate
Reduced Covid menu doesn’t leave very many vegetarian options
This is the best place to go for a date night with your lover.
Amazing food. Ambiance is on par with Dante’s. Not on level of pier W or marble room.
Excellent! Food was awesome and the service was excellent! We will definitely be back -
The Rigatoni Bolognese and the seared scallops were excellent
Adega had a great brunch. The staff is wonderful. Lisa, David and Jay are amazing. They are warm and kind. The good s fantastic. My go to place.
My wife and I have been to this restaurant before having brought out of town visitors .we really wanted to have a night out since the virus has kept us in .so we chose adega Because of previous wonderful experiences the food the service were perfect the only thing that I was not happy about was being seated in bar area
What a great place! Very cool vibe. Our sever was amazing. Very knowledgeable but had personality and was fun. He definitely added to our night. The food was fantastic. We had the charred octopus appetizer and was the best I have ever had - my girlfriend had never tried it and she loved it! We had the monkfish special which was again - spot on and the Iberico steak was a first for both of us and was also amazing. A great, memorable night. Nice work Adega!
6:00 PM dinner on Wednesday and we were the only diners (2 of us) until 7:00 PM. Very attentive waiter who made up for everything else. My sea food pasta had way too much lemon juice (vs. marinara sauce) which I did not enjoy. My wife ordered Branzino fish but were told they were out of it. She ended up ordering salmon but nothing special about the dish. Very fancy restaurant with great staff but food was not very good or should I say I was expecting more. Will not return.
On point!! In every way. 3rd time visiting. Very courteous staff
Worst food in a long time, dry chicken, chewey pasta, bread was good tho... tourist rip off. Wine was weak, brought warm martini out in a wine carafe, weird.
Sunday Brunch was fresh, well seasoned and great presentation. Will be back.
Thank you for taking the time to share this positive rating! We will make sure to share this with our team to let them know to keep up the amazing work. We look forward to serving you again!
First time visit to Adega. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We had the sirloin steak and branzino. Appetizer/Little Bites are large enough to share. We had the basil salad and the hummus with pita bread. Waiter and staff very friendly and attentive. Thank you for an amazing meal and dinner experience!
