“Excellent” is the word that comes to mind in reviewing Addie’s Thai. Consistent, they always serve fabulous food and now even have some terrific wine choices. I cannot say enough good about Addie’s Thai. It’s truly a gem!
Overall it was a very enjoyable evening and I’d give 4.5 stars to the food if I could. It took a rather long time for someone to come and get our orders but thereafter the service was excellent, friendly without being over attentive. The ambiance is upscale and sophisticated and there is ample parking in its new Park Potomac location. We were seated indoors but the seating outside also seemed very attractive and with outdoor heaters we regretted not having booked a table there.
The food is wonderful. This visit was disappointing. We had a 6:30 pm reservation on a Sunday. The restaurant was not full. It took almost an hour for our order to arrive. The explanation was that there were two large private parties. Good for Addies not good for customers. The management should address this scenario or bye bye Addies
The food just was not good. Shrimp bisque and lentil soups were both much too sweet, the chicken in the crispy chicken sandwich was overcooked, shoe-leather tough and tasteless, calamari was disappointing, covered with a sweet sauce. I am amazed that anyone rates this restaurant positively given the low quality of the dishes we were served.
Addie's food is always delicious. During our visit the waitress or chef mixed up two parts of our order - surprising with a restaurant of this caliber. The manager came over and apologized, so at least that was something.
Drinks took a VERY long time & 2 orders came out incorrectly but other than that, it was ok.
Fabian our waiter was fantastic and patient as my partner was tardy - he gave us time to chat
The food was amazing
I love this place !!!
Thanks for helping celebrate Jessica's birthday with us! Best regards, Mrs. Pauli
Food was so yummy!
Out of birthday candles.
The food was delicious. Our server Jerry was very friendly and professional. The manhattan cocktail was perfect. Really nice experience.
Addie's is so lovely and the atmosphere wonderful as well as the food.
Seafood is outstanding. Dependably comfortable evening
Fantastic food and fantastic ambiance at this well-regarded restaurant, but the service is not on the same level as the everything else. My last 2 visits have resulted in a wait staff that didn't know everything on the menu (specials) and there were questions about what wines were available.
Delicious brunch, great service. It was fun sitting outside. I’m glad Addie’s is back!
We went to Sunday Brunch, but the level of service did not compare to it's sister restaurant, Black's in Bethesda.
Yummy oysters and green curry mussels. The bread pudding dessert was delish!
We went for a special evening - and was pleased by the fantastic food and service - as always. The scallops with risotto was delicious and perfectly cooked as was the lemongrass tomato soup. Food came out quickly and was well prepared.
my food was good, my wife's salad was kind of blah. Nice outdoor seating and good ambiance, enjoyable Sunday afternoon lunch.
We each had very delicious cheese burgers. Cooked exactly as requested. Jerry was a caring and friendly server
Food and atmosphere are great.
Jerry my waiter was terrific!!!!
I have all sorts of plans to return here. Family group as well as cozy tete a tetes.
I cannot commend our server enough. She was so sensitive to our needs that we were able to have an extremely pleasant luncheon with friends.
Each item we had was delicious. We had the fried calamari , Shitake tempura vegetables (probably not what it was on the menu), salmon dinner and the dessert!, oh my!
Can't wait to go back.
I have been an Addie's fan for many years, generally, at the McArthur location. The service at the Potomac location was poor even though the restaurant was not crowded at lunch. We waited 20 minutes for a piece of carrot cake as part of a birthday celebration. The server was very nice and helpful but it took a long time for our lunch to be served. I thought the food was adequate but not great; so in this regard, the experience was somewhat disappointing. Unlike the location in Kensington & McArthur Blvd., where I found the overall experience to be much better. I miss Susan Wallace, the pastry chef at McArthur Blvd. Her pastry offings were outstanding. I don't see anyone replacing her.
Great lunch spot! food and service was great! sat outside and it was lovely!
We went there having been to Addie's at its White Flint location and having enjoyed it. It was our anniversary weekend, and the restaurant carried my wife's late mother's name, so we decided to drive to Potomac. It was very nice, well appointed, the food was good. Our opentable reservation said it was our anniversary and we mentioned it to our waiter, who wished us well and that was that. Our waiter brought us the bill without our asking for it. We had been thinking our dessert, but he was getting busy, so we decided to leave. We asked him to take a photo of us, he took three and exclaimed, "Excellent." As I said, we felt a little rushed, got home and saw that all three were so dark we couldn't see our faces. It's a nice place but not a terribly warm place, at least not for Sunday brunch.
Outdoor dining on a cool summer evening - for once! Great food.
And I texted that it was my Moms bday and asked if they could put candles in cake but they didn’t.
The special rolls are available during the dinner hour. Leanne provided excellent service. We enjoy dining at Addie's. The host accommodated our party well, especially with wheelchair access. We always like to sit right inside the formal dining room within the double doors. It provides easy access to leave without disturbing the other dining customers.
My wife and I just might have found our new "goto" place to crash and relax. We absolutely loved the bar and the menu. The food was really good. We tried a few of the appetizers and the mussels. They were really really good. The bartenders, Matt and Jasmine, are good people and were very welcoming. We didn't feel like strangers. It is worthy of a visit. I know we'll be back for sure.
We love the food. Excellent menu. Good beer choice. Friendly crowd. Downtown-caliber restaurant way out in the burbs.
Scallops were to die for! Warm all the way through, but soft as butter!
Jane, took care of us. She was very present to our needs. My friend had a beautiful salad and I opted for the shawarma. It was supposed to be spicy, but it wasn’t. It was good, just not spicy.
went for lunch with three friends, we had salads. the watermelon and kale salad is delicious with one change, have them substitute romaine for the kale. the kale is too bitter, the romaine is perfect. a delicious molasses vinaigrette sets its off perfectly! also, the tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad is yummy.
All three of us ordered the house salad with steak. It was delivered promptly, was delicious and had a nice light dressing. Service was attentive, but not bothersome. We’ll be back.
Food was very good (scallops, crab cakes); charming decor; reasonable noise level; and terrific service from Eric. Overall, a very fun evening.
Food not as good as it has been in the past. No flavor, service was very slow. To many restaurants to choose from will no be back
Went for dinner. The food and service was very good. In particular, the scallop dish is just about perfect (and worth a visit). Neither of us really liked the cocktails that we ordered: violette collins, black manhattan, and aperol spritz. The drinks were very strong but with not much flavor. We will definitely eat there again.
Outstanding waiter, exceptionally delicious brunch.
Food extremely tasty.
