Ada's - Tivoli Village
This is a SUPERB Italian spot!!!
The food is delicious, the wine selection is excellent, and the service is amazing.
All of their food items are made in-house, and you can tell. Every item we ordered is done so well. Their homemade sourdough loaf is incredible, the mushroom pizza is simple yet full of flavor. The squid ink pasta (special menu item) has a wonderful balance of salty and spicy. Their handmade gelato (we had 2 different flavors: coffee and pistachio) is creamy and velvety, PERFECT. My favorite item of the experience is their kale/mint salad. That is just WOW!!!! Delicious.
It was a busy night for Ada's, but the service NEVER skipped a beat. Our server, Tats, is so friendly, so personable, so attentive, and so knowledgeable about the food, that it made our dining experience that much more enjoyable. Shout out to Stephanie, their Maitre d'. She is so sweet and so smiley. Amazing service.
Will DEFINATELY be back. Ada's was recommend to me by a friend, and I will recommend Ada's to any and everyone.
Adas was a wonderful surprise. We chose to sit outdoors on the patio and it was a lovely evening. It is quite noisy inside because it’s a small place. Our server Eric was attentive and checked on us often enough to not be annoying. They were quite busy but all the staff seemed concerned that we were taken care of and happy. Everyone there worked as a team. The head chef came out and spoke to us as well. The food was outstanding. I had the buratta pizza which was wonderful and my husband had the roast chicken special which he said was the best chicken he ever had. And he’s picky! We had the fresh sourdough right from the oven to begin our dinner. We ended it with their fabulous ice cream. Definitely going back to this little gem.
Wonderful food, good drinks, friendly service. Had a taste of my son’s ice cream. Very good. Many people apparently come just for the ice cream.
This was the third or fourth time I’ve eaten at Ada’s and it has never disappointed. The pasta is always done perfectly with great flavor. Finish off the meal with terrific ice cream of unusual flavors. Great place to dine!
Delicious food & wine! Home-made sourdough bread is to die for! Bucatini was top-notch! Pinot Noir was divine!
This is my 3rd visit and the food & service remains EXCEPTIONAL! Everything we try is delicious. Love Ada’s & will definitely be back.
Sat 30 minutes late, food was cleared before finished, felt rushed. Only thing that made up for it was given complicate sparkling wine from a sweet employee.
Jocelyn was wonderful, everything was great including the friendly guests at surrounding tables. Very pleasant experience
Great food. Pastas were all wonderful. I especially enjoyed the Rigatoni with short ribs. The olives were the biggest olive I have ever tasted. Food, and wines were delicious. The ice-cream is a must-have, too! Great experience.
Creative and delicious dishes with very attentive service! A true neighborhood gem.
Wonderful dining experience.
The noise level is almost unbearable. You can’t speak to the person next to you. And tables are way too small Food is excellent though!
We love Ada’s. Everything is fresh made and delicious. The homemade ice cream is so good! We want to try everything on the menu! 🙂
Exceptional Food and Good Service. However, the location is not big enough for clients. Ask for Awesome Eric or Chelsea.
We were a party of five. We had family visiting from out of town so we thought we would take them to a new resturant. Ada’s was highly recommended. We all enjoyed the food. The flavors stood out and were very satisfying. Our server was excellent. He gave us a little info/history on each item we ordered. The chef delivered our meals which gave it a special touch. This is definitely a favorite. I can’t wait to go back. The food was delicious the service was superb. The noise level was very loud. Would have enjoyed more if it wasn’t so loud. We are hoping next time we aren’t so full so we can indulge in their ice cream shop! Highly recommend!!
Noticed the help changes here quite a bit. Hostess was a young girl with no personality. She talked very low and was hard to hear. Not cut out for this job. We sit down. A guy comes over, never saying if he is a waiter. Rushes us to order. we say no, were in no hurry. Next thing a girl comes over, she is our waitress now. The guy left, end of his shift. This is not a place to dine and spend time. They rush you. I get pasta. They put it on a flat plate! I have dined at La Strega numerous times. Outstanding service, food and drink. Plus the Hostess comes by the table to talk and greet you. The Manager is around to see that everything is good with you. Here, you are just number. I would highly recommend La Strega with reservations to eat and enjoy.
Every item ordered was absolutely delightful. Our favorite dish of the night was the beet salad. Our server Jocelyn was very nice and attentive. We really regretted our table however. Corner table by the server’s register terminal was pretty terrible. Every time a server went to type in their order our dinner was interrupted. A pitcher of water was even spilled on us. It really killed the mood. If the table is offered to you in the future, we advise you to pass and wait for another.
Food and service were amazing. Dining area is a bit loud. But the food and service negate that. Five stars for Jocelyn!!
Everything was great from the bread and butter, to the peach salad, the beet & cheese salad was to die for!
Impeccable food, a bit pricey but well worth experiencing such great work. The space is casual with high ceilings, be prepared for sitting close together and high noise level if busy. Still worth it for the food.
Outstanding Food that is innovative and fantastic service. However, the place is exceptionally small and if there is a rain shower outside must come in leaving no place for customers and servers!
Why do noise complaints continue to fall on deaf ears of restaurant owners and designers?
The food and service at Ada's and Esther's is not the issue as both are wonderful. Regardless of a patron's age, no one wants to not be able to carry on a conversation with their dining companions. This issue is not limited to these properties; articles have been written in publications across the country about the cacophony that assails diners within the high ceiling, industrial bent design.
This evening, my companion and I walked out within minutes of being seated as we knew that a conversation, held at reasonable volume, was not to be had.
food is excellent. black kale salad & rigatoni with short ribs was superb. the bread is amazing. only complaint: acoustics are bad so normal conversation is tough when Ada's is crowded.
Chelsea made us the most incredible drinks!! She improvised and has an undeniable talent. She is putting together their new happy hour cocktail menu and we can’t wait to go back.
The food is too rich and the seating was very small. The tables are so small, We felt very uncomfortable.
My husband and I popped into Ada's for a date night last week. We are huge fans of Esther's Kitchen so we were excited to try Ada's, especially because it's closer to where we live. Overall the experience was good. Service was a little slow and we weren't aware of sold-out dishes until we tried to order them. Food was tasty and very filling. We loved the meatballs best. I don't know if we'll rush back but would eat there again. I'd rather make the drive down to Esthers!
WAY too loud. Asked to speak to manager to discuss and offer our thoughts. She just smiled and walked past us (after we saw our server speak to her and point to us)
Good food. Unfortunately not a pleasant atmosphere.
The manger should learn to speak to guests and not ignore. Sometimes they are liking to help.
Skip this place
The service at Ada’s is impeccable. Michael was attentive and provided excellent recommendations. The burrata pizza and short rib pasta were fabulous! The managers table touch was genuine and appreciated. Will definitely be returning!
It’s in a good location and has a fun vibe. It’s worth going for the ice cream!! And be sure and ask for Jamie as your server as it will be worth the trip. She is worth going just to have her wait on you. I will go again just to get to hang out with her.
Great Food. Our waiter Tatz was enjoyable and pleasant. Made great recommendations. Management also took the time to stop by our table to thank us for our business. Will definitely go back again.
We loved this owners other restaurant, Esther’s Kitchen so we were excited to try Ada’s. Same fabulous food but closer to home and different atmosphere. Loved it!!
I've had different pizzas, really good except for the clam pie, a bit too salty. No problem there, they just had me choose something else. The staff are always nice but the noise level is a bit loud. There's a great selection of ice cream, beer, wine. This place has become my go to for "cheat day".
The food was beyond! Everything we tried was so tasty, fresh and just the right amount (no huge portions). The only downfall was the clam pie; just wasn't what I expected tastewise, but when the server realized we didn't like it, he had it removed from our bill (which was really great, especially since we didn't ask for it to be removed). And the ice cream, oh my goodness! I had the vanilla and the chocolate in a hot fudge sundae, but next time I'm just going to close my eyes and point randomly at a flavor and go with it. The ice cream was so creamy, the fudge rich and the bowls they served it in were frozen to keep the sundae cold. The only complaint was having to watch an employee from the kitchen who, along with the clean dishes he kept bringing out to the servers' area, felt it was necessary for the entire restaurant to see his gray Hane's underwear with his belted jeans well below his butt (ironic he had a belt on...). Just not something that screams "cleanliness works here" when I have to see an employee walk around with his underwear in full view (literally, his jeans were under his butt and nowhere near his waist line). Aside from his questionnable fashion choice, this was an amazing experience here.
Super loud, we could not even have a conversation. Tables are so close we kept getting bumped by servers. Waiter forgot he took CC by associates before meal, tried to remove wine glasses with wine still in them. Overall very uncomfortable for dining.
Ada's is pretty new to this area and seems to be doing very well. It is very small and stays full most of the time. The outdoor patio will be wonderful in the fall. The menu is unique in many ways and delicious. Having an ice cream bar in the restaurant is a fun ending .
Celebrated my good friends birthday! Absolutely love everything they do here hope it sticks around!
I've been to Esters in the arts district so I had to try this place too. Both are fantastic and this one is closer to home so it's a win.
We ordered drinks first, Took over 15 minutes to get a drink then we ordered appetizers and they arrived before our drinks. Service was underwhelming, they were understaffed and didn’t know what to do. Too noisy as well and we won’t go back
