Ada's Restaurant & Bar
Delightful service. Waiter brought wrong dish for me, but quickly brought correct one and left other for free. We didn't have to fight booming music to talk, the food was truly excellent, and the ambience lovely.
Lovely atmosphere. Wonderful food. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines and drinks were affordable and great to boot.
The chef came out and visited us multiple times to make sure everything was going well and the food tasted good. A very warm and happy man, that chef. The food was amazing and the Turkish wine we had was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth a visit.
Exquisitely prepared fine dining quality items, Turkish niche, Sadık is a legitimate Maitre d’Hotel, Chef/Owner Ayhan is solid on product quality, preparation, presentation, contrast of flavors that are orthodox and unorthodox to put together. After my fifth consistent experience I’m writing this review with very good conscious.
We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant through OpenTable while looking for a nice restaurant near Ballard for a get together with another couple. The service was attentive, professional and timely. The plates that the dishes are served in are definitely notable.
Everything we ordered tasted great, but it is worth calling out the Eggplant Rolantini (appetizer), the Pan Seared Whole Trout and the Tenderloin Spiedini (Sis Kebob) as simply excellent.
This is a restaurant that we're planning on going back and try more of dishes, hopefully introduce more people to it as well.
Excellent - highly recommended.
Ada’s Restaurant is wonderful! The food is delicious and beautifully presented. We experienced courteous and attentive service, even receiving a complementary dessert when I indicated it was my husband’s birthday. The restaurant is well-lit with a pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend others to visit!
Really nice and cosy place. The food was great. I chose Turkish influenced dishes and they were very well made. Turkish wine was great. Service was friendly and attentive. The desert baklava was genuinely home made. I am always skeptical about Turkish restaurants abroad but this is a very clean, modern and classy place.
Flavors are amazing, staff were friendly. Will definitely go back.
The service was very pleasant but very slow due to under-staffing. The food was excellent, but expensive. Drinks and wine were also expensive. The place was nice, though parking was impossible. Overall, fine but not worth the price point IMO.
This was our first time at Ada's and would highly recommend it . The staff are very attentive and accommodating. My chicken was the bet prepared and tasting I have had in a long time. And very large serving which seems to be disappearing in Seattle restaurants. My wife had King Salmon which is her favorite and she it was good but a little overdone. She said it was probably her fault for not saying how she likes it cooked. We shall return!
I absolutely recommended. food was great!!! and the Executive Chef went out to greet us So lovely, wonderful, delicious
Had a lovely dinner with the beet salad and sis kabobs being the star of the show. Highly recommend this restaurant.
This was our second visit to Ada's and was just as superb as the first.
Menu is quite varied and extensive, but they pulled off every dish for four completely different diners very well.
Ambience is very nice, and it is wonderful to be able to actually talk to your dining companions without the shrill sound levels at so many of Seattle's restaurants. Very attractive space. Presentation of the dishes is beautiful.
Highly recommend this spot and will return very soon. Hope to introduce Ada's to many more friends.
I have had both dinner and brunch here. The dinner was really delicious and unique. It was a very nice experience and the owner came out and talked to us.
The brunch was just ok—it wasn’t very unique or special. There was also a fly in my coffee.
The service has been great both times I have been there!
All but two dishes (the last to come out) were served at lukewarm room temperature, not hot at all. Scallops were under-cooked to the point of being almost raw. In honor of a birthday, we were served a complimentary tiramisu at the end of the meal which was inedible -- something had gone off on it, perhaps it was stored in a freezer too long. Nobody would eat more than a couple bites of the tiramisu. Ambience is very nice and in keeping with the prices, but nothing else is. Service is very inexperienced -- I had to ask if we could order some drinks before taking food orders (prior to that, no drinks were offered) I think they are coasting on the good reviews from the prior owners. I don't like to write reviews as I don't think they generally do any good to improve things, but in this case I think other diners need to be cautioned before dropping over $50 per seat on a meal I very much regret. It is a shame because we live only a few blocks away and love every other restaurant in this cluster from 59th to 65th on Phinney.
The service was good, we had a attentive waitress that was always there when we needed something. Also the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing and quite enough to talk comfortably. The deserts were excellent and they had a nice wine selection to choose from. All and all a good experience and we would definitely go back again.
Perhaps just a bad day? First of all, they only had one instrumental song playing on repeat the entire hour and a half we were there… Not very good for ambience. They Appeared to be understaffed as the waiter was also the bartender—and we didn’t even get our initial cocktail until after we finished with our salad and appetizer! The truffle fries were mediocre, because they were undercooked, and I had the pan seared scallops which were also under cooked. Lam was very good as well as the Turkish wine we ordered. The menu is very extensive and appealing. I love the choices on the menu and the ambience and I will give this place another try because they have all the right ingredients to make for a great dining experience but last night wasn’t it. Hopefully just an off day for them.
I am very sorry to hear of your experience with us. We pride ourselves on being on top of our game at all times, and we obviously fell short the night you visited. It's true that there are times when the bartender will also take tables, but when it comes at the price of our guests receiving drinks after appetizers, we clearly failed. We were short staffed. Please accept my sincerest apologizes and do visit us again. And when you do, let me know so I can personally make it up to you. - Chef Ayhan
Experienced Ada’s for the first time - Mother’s Day brunch. We thoroughly enjoyed a traditional Turkish breakfast and had a nice visit with owner and chef Ayan. If you are looking for a great, classy neighborhood restaurant serving Mediterranean/European with the freshest of ingredients, this is it!
Once again, Ada’s was the perfect place for our celebration. Great food and service- we’ll be back!!
Great food-we loved everything especially the Baklava. Service was great too!
Too many wonderful choices! We will definitely return!
Went with a group of 4. Had a wonderful time! Food was excellent. I had the steak, it was delicious. The other 3 friend all had the king salmon, the yes couldn’t stop talking about it. Definitely a 4 star restaurant.
The filet and the duck were amazing.
Delicious food, attentive and friendly service, and a relaxed and upscale atmosphere! The two couples both loved the place and we'll happily return for more tasty cocktails and high quality great tasting food!
It was fun to try something new. We went for Seattle Restaurant Week. I had the Olive Tapenade, the Risotto, and the Baklava. Delicious and perfect portion sizing. We were seated next to the kitchen which unfortunately offered a lot more noise with plates and silverware being pushed around, and the service could've been a little more attentive. Staff was friendly, and the place is really cute on the inside. I would definitely come back for another meal, and I appreciate SRW introducing me to new places to try!
This was our first time at Ada's. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The special was fresh halibut. All 3 I was with said it was the best they had ever had. I had the chicken and it was wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for their service as well as the food.
It was a real treat for my friend and myself as we took a chance on a new restaurant and stepped into a world of calm, beauty and deliciousness! “Ada” Restaurant has only been open for four months and is just waiting to be discovered by those who appreciate the best of adult cuisine in a neighborhood setting. Don’t get me wrong…the “adult” doesn’t mean it’s stuffy! The very talented Owner/Executive Chef, Ayhan Barlas, who came over and introduced himself later in our meal, embodied the passion behind the unique take on refashioned American food with a European touch and the lovely environment he created.
My friend and I decided to share a few dishes, beginning with the Organic Roasted Beet Salad (with crumbled feta, pickled red onions, organic arugula, roasted pistachio, sliced oranges, sea salt and balsamic glaze.) They happily divided it for us in the kitchen, and both portions were very generous. And very tasty.
Next we shared the Grilled Wild King Salmon (with golden fried polenta cake, seasonal vegetables, with lemon-saffron beurre blanc and roasted pink pepper corn). Delicious! And we couldn’t resist accompanying it with an order of Truffled French Fries (Shoestring fries, reggiano, parmesan, scallions and lemon-garlic aioli). YUM! I think I’ll return for their happy hour just for those fries with a glass of wine!
Although we were contentedly full, we managed to accept the graciously offered house-made specialty desert which was fantastic-Profiteroles (eclair balls, house-made vanilla pastry cream and house-made chocolate glaze, with roasted pistachio and shaved white chocolate.) OMG-worth every calorie! And happily washed them down with a light Turkish tea.
I truly believe Ada's is worth spreading the word for and writing a review! If you get a chance to meet the owner, ask him about the restaurant's name-it's an interesting story. Ada's will be partici
The six of us had two appetizers and a variety of entrees as well as desserts. Also cocktails and wine. We all were very happy and impressed by the food. The Sis Kabobs are very impressive with their presentation. And the eggplant entree was delicious. I have already recommended Ada’s to a relative and I’m certain we will go back within this month. It really was that good and so comfortable.
My wife and I decided to try Ada's this week and were blown away by the quality of the food.
We arrived with a reservation and were concerned as their were no other guests dining.
The space is beautiful and we were greeted and served by the manager/owner. Every item ordered was superb, and the quality of wines excellent.
We plan to return very soon and would encourage anyone that finds their menu appealing to give it a shot.
Truly a quality spot.
Love this place! Excellent service and food!
Delicious meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the assortment of vegan options. The almond ricotta ravioli is amazing! The ambiance was excellent as well.
The kebabs and scallops were most excellent and the staff service was terrific. Great upscale place to treat yourself in this neighborhood restaurant with a Mediterranean twist.
The food and service were outstanding. We had a party of 10 and they did a wonderful job taking care of everyone.
We loved Ada’s! The food was outstanding and the service was amazing.
Ada’s in Phinney Ridge neighborhood of Seattle is a marvelous place. Recently reopened with new ownership and new chef, it is definitely a restaurant I’ll return to. The food is creative, delicious and well presented. Big city menu, cocktails and desserts. Great service in a comfortable white linen tablecloths atmosphere.
Excellent restaurant with great service and fun cocktails.
Everything was very nice, food was delicious and cooked perfectly. However, Valentines Day dinner at $125 per person, was very overpriced for the vegetarian option. The regular prix fixe menu was very good and a much better value. There should have been a different price point for the vegetarian option.
Great service, great food, great value. Will come back to this neighborhood spot!
