Ada's Restaurant & Bar
A chef-driven paradise wrapped in a small neighborhood vibe. Ada’s has been a staple in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood for years. However today, the new Ada’s is a creation stemmed from a lifelong dream of Executive Chef Ayhan Barlas. With a completely revised menu of American classics prepared with a European flair alongside Chef Ayhan’s native Turkish favorites, your senses will thank you!
We are firm believers that "the freshest ingredients create the best dishes", and that "things that grow together, go together". So, in keeping with that mantra, we pride ourselves on using as many local purveyors as possible to best keep our dishes in line with the true spirit of the finest cuisine the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Here' you'll find a modern, warm and romantic dining experience in an elegantly casual atmosphere. We also have a great bar and lounge area with a wonderful Happy Hour.
When you eat here, you’ll feel like one of the family.

Cynthia the hostess was outstanding and really made our experience pleasant. The food was off the charts great - in particular the lamb chops! We'll be back.
Interesting appetizers, tasty main course. The desserts were terrific
This was our first time and it will definitely not be our last. I dine out often and am particular. The food here is perfectly prepared and the presentation is spot on. Add to this great service - to me this is a home run.
In short this restaurant is not to be missed.
Enjoyed pres fixe. Beautiful rose nice touch. Smoked salmon, crab bisque, codfish, filet Mignon all perfectly prepared. Hand made baklava and chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert.
Amazing food and excellent service!
We had a Christmas dinner for 10 and the food and service couldn't have been better. All the guests from 10 years old to 70 commented on how much they enjoyed their dish as well as the various appetizers. Our waiter, who is also their resident "sommelier/wine expert", made the whole experience such an enjoyable one. We look forward to returning again.
Chef/Owner Ayhan Barlas had a dream when he came to Seattle twenty years ago, and I think Seattle should take notice of this chefs’ expertise and professional growth over the years. Every item on the menu is created with his professional love of the culinary arts. You will see Chef Barlas Turkish influence in his menu items, but to me the menu is very eclectic. No matter if you are coming from the North, South, or the Eastside… Ada’s is worth the drive. The service is exceptional, and this charming and personable Chef often comes to the table to greets his guests. As someone that never tells anyone of his favorite fishing hole… I do have to recommend Ada’s to anyone that wants a great dining experience at a reasonable price.
The service was impeccable. We had a family Christmas dinner and we were all able to converse at the table. Very unique in the noisy atmosphere of most restaurants these days. We had a great meal and great service. Thank you.
It was ok. I had been hoping for more of a traditional Turkish restaurant.
This was our first visit to Ada's and it won't be our last. The food was excellent and the staff was exceptional. Definitely put Ada's on your restaurant list. We will definitely return.
Menu is ambitious offering maybe too many choices. Service was challenging as the server seemed new to the job. Hostess was overly aggressive in clearing the table and removed our menus before we ordered. One entree was served without the right sides. This restaurant has promise but needs some polish to get there.
Ada's prepares amazing food and provides thoughtful, attentive service. Every detail of our meal was excellent.
Great service, great ambiance, good for quiet conversation, and Excellent Food!
Wide variety on the menu for carnivores, vegetarians, and vegans.
New favorite neighborhood gem! Great food! Super friendly service and within walking distance from home!
Great food and excellent service.
Food has been consistently excellent, service same.
Would strongly encourage a visit.
The restaurant is top notch, needs more patrons to up the ambience of dining there
Great food and service
I have been to Ada's for dinner four times. Each one has been a wonderful experience. The food is excellent, as is the service. The wait staff gives you time to enjoy your time eating, drinking and talking with friends. The environment is very comfortable and quiet. I would highly recommend Ada's.
Lovely quiet dining experience after a hectic work week was just what my husband and I were looking for! The waiter was so attentive but not bothersome, and the chef came out to check on everyone at one point. I appreciate that they have several vegan options on the menu, and the chef even had a surprise vegan desert (not on the menu) for me. A lovely spot.
Date with wife in neighborhood restaurant. Tablecloths, nice wine list and attentive server. Trout was excellent and plentiful (over a pound). Served whole and a little work was needed but meat fell off of bone.
Delightful service. Waiter brought wrong dish for me, but quickly brought correct one and left other for free. We didn't have to fight booming music to talk, the food was truly excellent, and the ambience lovely.
Lovely atmosphere. Wonderful food. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines and drinks were affordable and great to boot.
The chef came out and visited us multiple times to make sure everything was going well and the food tasted good. A very warm and happy man, that chef. The food was amazing and the Turkish wine we had was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth a visit.
Exquisitely prepared fine dining quality items, Turkish niche, Sadık is a legitimate Maitre d’Hotel, Chef/Owner Ayhan is solid on product quality, preparation, presentation, contrast of flavors that are orthodox and unorthodox to put together. After my fifth consistent experience I’m writing this review with very good conscious.
We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant through OpenTable while looking for a nice restaurant near Ballard for a get together with another couple. The service was attentive, professional and timely. The plates that the dishes are served in are definitely notable.
Everything we ordered tasted great, but it is worth calling out the Eggplant Rolantini (appetizer), the Pan Seared Whole Trout and the Tenderloin Spiedini (Sis Kebob) as simply excellent.
This is a restaurant that we're planning on going back and try more of dishes, hopefully introduce more people to it as well.
Excellent - highly recommended.
Ada’s Restaurant is wonderful! The food is delicious and beautifully presented. We experienced courteous and attentive service, even receiving a complementary dessert when I indicated it was my husband’s birthday. The restaurant is well-lit with a pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend others to visit!
Really nice and cosy place. The food was great. I chose Turkish influenced dishes and they were very well made. Turkish wine was great. Service was friendly and attentive. The desert baklava was genuinely home made. I am always skeptical about Turkish restaurants abroad but this is a very clean, modern and classy place.
Flavors are amazing, staff were friendly. Will definitely go back.
The service was very pleasant but very slow due to under-staffing. The food was excellent, but expensive. Drinks and wine were also expensive. The place was nice, though parking was impossible. Overall, fine but not worth the price point IMO.
This was our first time at Ada's and would highly recommend it . The staff are very attentive and accommodating. My chicken was the bet prepared and tasting I have had in a long time. And very large serving which seems to be disappearing in Seattle restaurants. My wife had King Salmon which is her favorite and she it was good but a little overdone. She said it was probably her fault for not saying how she likes it cooked. We shall return!
I absolutely recommended. food was great!!! and the Executive Chef went out to greet us So lovely, wonderful, delicious
Had a lovely dinner with the beet salad and sis kabobs being the star of the show. Highly recommend this restaurant.
This was our second visit to Ada's and was just as superb as the first.
Menu is quite varied and extensive, but they pulled off every dish for four completely different diners very well.
Ambience is very nice, and it is wonderful to be able to actually talk to your dining companions without the shrill sound levels at so many of Seattle's restaurants. Very attractive space. Presentation of the dishes is beautiful.
Highly recommend this spot and will return very soon. Hope to introduce Ada's to many more friends.
I have had both dinner and brunch here. The dinner was really delicious and unique. It was a very nice experience and the owner came out and talked to us.
The brunch was just ok—it wasn’t very unique or special. There was also a fly in my coffee.
The service has been great both times I have been there!
All but two dishes (the last to come out) were served at lukewarm room temperature, not hot at all. Scallops were under-cooked to the point of being almost raw. In honor of a birthday, we were served a complimentary tiramisu at the end of the meal which was inedible -- something had gone off on it, perhaps it was stored in a freezer too long. Nobody would eat more than a couple bites of the tiramisu. Ambience is very nice and in keeping with the prices, but nothing else is. Service is very inexperienced -- I had to ask if we could order some drinks before taking food orders (prior to that, no drinks were offered) I think they are coasting on the good reviews from the prior owners. I don't like to write reviews as I don't think they generally do any good to improve things, but in this case I think other diners need to be cautioned before dropping over $50 per seat on a meal I very much regret. It is a shame because we live only a few blocks away and love every other restaurant in this cluster from 59th to 65th on Phinney.
The service was good, we had a attentive waitress that was always there when we needed something. Also the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing and quite enough to talk comfortably. The deserts were excellent and they had a nice wine selection to choose from. All and all a good experience and we would definitely go back again.
Perhaps just a bad day? First of all, they only had one instrumental song playing on repeat the entire hour and a half we were there… Not very good for ambience. They Appeared to be understaffed as the waiter was also the bartender—and we didn’t even get our initial cocktail until after we finished with our salad and appetizer! The truffle fries were mediocre, because they were undercooked, and I had the pan seared scallops which were also under cooked. Lam was very good as well as the Turkish wine we ordered. The menu is very extensive and appealing. I love the choices on the menu and the ambience and I will give this place another try because they have all the right ingredients to make for a great dining experience but last night wasn’t it. Hopefully just an off day for them.
I am very sorry to hear of your experience with us. We pride ourselves on being on top of our game at all times, and we obviously fell short the night you visited. It's true that there are times when the bartender will also take tables, but when it comes at the price of our guests receiving drinks after appetizers, we clearly failed. We were short staffed. Please accept my sincerest apologizes and do visit us again. And when you do, let me know so I can personally make it up to you. - Chef Ayhan
Experienced Ada’s for the first time - Mother’s Day brunch. We thoroughly enjoyed a traditional Turkish breakfast and had a nice visit with owner and chef Ayan. If you are looking for a great, classy neighborhood restaurant serving Mediterranean/European with the freshest of ingredients, this is it!
Once again, Ada’s was the perfect place for our celebration. Great food and service- we’ll be back!!
