We did the 7-course chef's tasting, which is off menu and different every day. Overall the six meal courses were spectacular, though the dessert (seventh course) was good, not great.
A visit to Adana is a must. We visit Seattle several times a year and Adana is on our list of restaurants to visit every time. Food and service is outstanding.
We had the 5 course tasting menu and it was amazing! Definitely a special place to have a nice dinner. They also had a nice bar area and happy hour menu, I can't wait to try those too!
Best dinner we have had in a LONG TIME! 7 courses were perfection. Service was also outstanding, would recommend this to everyone!
What a fun place to eat. We had the seven course "chef's choice" meal. Big expense for us but we knew it'd be fun when the waiter explained it to us. We really enjoyed the casual atmosphere while the food was on point. There aren't many places we find where all the pieces come together so well.
Looking forward to going again soon
The multiple level tasting menu scheme is novel and works well. The Japanese themed cocktail list was well done and well executed. We had the 7 course chef's tasting. The food was beautifully presented and portioned well. The beverage paring (sakes and wines) worked really well. It truly is Japanese comfort food. It won't surprise you but is lovely and well executed at a nice price point.
Amazing food great staff nice atmosphere
This is a very special restaurant. We selected the seven course option with wine pairings. All of the courses were amazing, and the wine pairings, especially the Sake, were good selections. The service was outstanding, the ambiance soothing and comfortable but with a touch of elegance. Highly recommend this.
We chose the Chef selection option and enjoyed every dish. My friend had seen the Chef on "next iron chef" competition on Food Network. Asian food is not her favorite cuisine but she was intrigued by the flavors he put together. We enjoyed every course but my favorite was the octopus salad. Each dish was artistically presented. Will definitely return when next in Seattle.
This is an amazing restaurant. I keep going back and being impressed (and delighted by the quality and creativity of the food, the elegance and beauty of the presentation and the topnotch service. One of my very favorite restaurants, I can't recommend it enough.
Great food - we tried the chef's tasting - 7 course - menu and was absolutely blown away by the different foods pairings and variety of foods throughout the experience. Their's a reason this chef is on his way to stardom in the Seattle culinary scene.
Our first time dining here. Food was delicious, service was good but not very personable. We got the beverage pairing, which was good but was never explained to us... just told it was a ‘Chardonnay.’ Our table was between 2 other couples; my husband and I had a hard time hearing each other the whole time. Overall good experience. We will return but try the bar next time!
Delicious food which paired great with the sake!
While in the past, when I had the smaller course dinner I would rate Adana much higher, the seven course dinner with the wine pairing was not as good. While some courses were great, Not all the dishes were as good.
For a Japanese restaurant aspiring to be at the upper tier in Seattle, the food was adequate but not exceptional. The sashimi course of scallop was quite minimal and did not particular feature the flavors of the scallop. The music choice is completely out of synch with what I expect in a fine Japanese restaurant or even Japanese pub. The wait staff was great, food came in a timely manner, although a refill of our sake carafe took far too long.
Adana is the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary. The food was amazing, the service is great and the ambiance is perfectly romantic. Easy to see and hear your partner without the room being overlit or without background music. We had a perfect time. Definitely splurge on the 7-course tasting menu! It was DIVINE.
Was excited to try the tasting menu. Food was unfortunately very “one note”. Begging for some salt and spice. Mushroom Katsu was my favorite. Uni rissoto was my least favorite. Very expensive for what it was. And calling that dessert flan was an affront to my family. I won’t be back
Great experience all around. The since of entry and ambiance are amazing, along with a show kitchen. Our server was attentive to all our needs but forgot her name....sorry! We ordered the octopus and also Lima bean appetizers both were delicious. We were skeptical on the Lima bean but we both fought over it. The cod entree was creative and presented well. We brought our own special bottle of wine and $20 corkage. This is a must visit restaurant
We had the seven course tasting menu and it was AMAZING! Super tasty, fresh and creative. Super friendly and attentive staff. Chef/owner brought our dessert, very kind and down to earth. Overall 5* experience, definitely coming back!
Fantastic Japanese comfort food! Small/sharing plates are its specialty. Saw the chef on Beat Bobby Flay and had to try it - boy are we glad! Phenomenal service, great ambience. A tad pricey, but worth it.
Very nice ambiance, value meal prix fix , excellent and pleasant services, good food quality, well handlings on food prep. Will come back.
Had the 7 course tasting menu. Was great and had nice variety and plenty of surprises. Sake recommended by the server was dry, clean, fit the meal perfectly. Will come back again.
Very good food and environment for a decent price. Ordered the November 3 course meal. The pork belly and salmon were one of the best I’ve had in Seattle! Sad that I couldn’t try the smoked cedar gelato. Definitely will come again!
Enjoyable, interesting food. Wine was good for the money. You can get better food in Seattle, but only at much higher prices. This is a good night out.

A mile up Pike into Capitol Hill from my hotel ... a bohemian contender neighborhood for my old hometown Greenwich Village ... or Brooklyn’s current chic hipster iteration ... superior to present day SF (blasphemy!) ... to dine at this modern Asian with an utterly original & delicious pivot on each of it’s 3 courses ... for me ::: kabocha squash 3 ways (one with mustard), salmon finished in aged vinegar with beets ... and baked black cod atop yam purée.
I had intended upon presenting images of all, but I was tripping from the first course, so only the kabocha appears.
Our meal at Adana was fabulous!! So glad I saw the wee note in Bon Appetit about their Tonkatsu! We didn't have that (yet!) but the 3 course dinner was delicious, every bite! The creme brulee was the best I've had across Seattle! The service was fantastic as well! We'll be back just to try the lounge menu soon!
Very, very good. Chawanmushi super smooth and good. The broth with the beef tongue was just outstanding along with the miso carrots. The shiso desert was just superb

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Our bartender (Cameron) took amazing care of us and the food from the snacks to the final course were on point. Cocktails were amazing as well. Compliments to Paulo for the excellent cuisine. Will be back every time we visit Seattle.
7 course tasting menu was excellent, made with quality ingredients, creativity and flavor that you would love to replicate at home, but after knowing some of the steps and time it takes, you are better off just going back! Staff is friendly, personable and knowledgeable about the food. The pork belly served with glazed carrots was genius!
We love Chef Nakajima’s carefully conceived and beautifully executed plates. 3/5/7 course menus or ala carte. Since we are small eaters, usually opt for the 3 course menu. Octopus tender but not over-cooked, fried chicken w/soy marinade has depth of flavor. Tempura anything spoils you for that dish anywhere else: No greasy or limp veggies, no! Salmon and black cod delectable.
Portions are small by American standards. Each dish arrives on lovely and different ceramics or boards, which typical in a Japanese restaurant. Good whiskey and sake list, although it has steep price curve. Be prepared.
Service was unobtrusive and spot on...
There is a feel-good vibe with moderate noise level.

Food was good, nice wine & sake list as well but the food took forever to come out - we were there 2.5 hours and it wasn’t that busy. I don’t think I would go back again....
