the restaurant was almost empty during our stay on a Friday evening, but the service was impeccable, the food delicious, if the bacon-wrapped scallops were over salty, and the ambiance was clean, gentle, and extremely well laid out. Their New England clam chowder was excellent, as are their dessert offerings. However there is no dessert menu. Give them a try.
Everything from appetizers to desserts was excellent. We had a party of 8 and everyone was well pleased. The only annoying part was the couple at the next table with 2 screening, crying kids. Not the restaurants fault but ruined a much anticipated quiet dinner with friends and family. Will definitely return.
Food was very good. Disappointed they didn’t have lobster.
Great food and service! Prices were fair. The Tuna bites are a must!
Excellent food and service! Will definitely dine there again!
Arrived at an empty waiting area, no staff in sight. Finally was seated after waiting 15 minutes. Service was very poor. Waitress was wearing slippers and yoga pants. Saw waitress maybe total of 4 times. Food was okay. Tables around us all waiting. Took us over an hour to receive our food after ordering. Total experience was a waste of two hours. Would not recommend.
We have dined here before and it was great. Not so much this time. Ran out of house wines, entrees, food was not hot, asked for bread twice-delivered once, wrong side dish. Asked to see manager-no show. And the killer was our waitress charged our dinner to our friends credit card and visa versa.
Fish tacos had almost no filling. Crab cakes had many shells in them. Took 15 minutes to be seated with a reservation and another hour+ to receive our drink order. Service very slow but friendly.
Will not return or recommend. I blame this on owners or management! Waitress tried her best. I made reservations through OT so they knew my party of 4 would be there. Some sort of special was happening BOGO? We were given water by hostess but it was nearly a half hour til our drink order was taken, another 15 min to get our drinks. We ordered clam special apps which when delivered another half hour later came in a flat bowl with 3 inches of water, sprinkled with parsley and no brown butter!? Thank goodness we hadn’t ordered our meal. 90 minutes later and starving, we paid our bill and left for another local restaurant.
Adagio specializes in seafood and our dinners were very good. The service was a bit slow but the waitress was very nice and made good recommendations.
Food was amazing. Never had a bad meal. Definitely going back
Great food and service. Too bright. Lights need to be dimmed which would create a much better ambiance.
Food and service was excellent. Met all my expectations.
Parking can be an issue but the food and service were outstanding! Our waitress was fantastic! We all had different meals & all were very good!
Overall, very good. Seafood was a little dry and overcooked.
This is an establishment that should be avoided under all circumstances. They have no respect for their patrons or for the charity they seek to EXPLOIT!
We are purchasers of Dream Come True fundraiser calendar that has a participating restaurant each month that offers a BOGO entree when you go during that month. We usually go with friends so the four of us go and we get one complimentary entree when we order. October’s restaurant was Adagio. We went with another couple and will NEVER go again!
We had one coupon for the four of us. One couple was handed a limited “special” menu for the Dream Come True coupon. The only thing that made it special was the prices were higher than their regular menu for the same items. Since we were four with only one coupon some of us wanted to order off the regular menu which is how we noticed. I asked if I could order off the regular menu if my husband ordered off the “special” menu and the waitress, Rita, our server, who was nice but not helpful said she did not know. I asked to speak to a manager. We waited for over half and hour and no one came, Rita said the owner was on his way, RIGHT? We left without ordering.
I think this is a disgrace and totally disrespectful to Dream Come True, a charity that does exceptional work. Adagio is the only restaurant with a different menu, and if that is their “dream” they should just say so on their coupon. Other restaurants have restrictions, and each was noted on their coupon. Advance notice is all we ask.
The failure to even address the issue by a “manager” was incredibly rude and shows this restaurant is not an organization with whom a charity should associate.
Service was not very good no bus boys or girls to keep table clear of used dishes and glasses not enough waitress or waiters. Food average drinks average not a up scale restaurant . Just a step above most cheap restaurants. Will not return.
It was a little strange being the only people there on a Saturday night, but food was amazing and service was great too! Definitely would recommend for date night.
We enjoyed a nice dinner with coconut shrimp appetizer, scallops wrapped in bacon and the special crab legs and clams. The portions were generous, and everything was fresh and delicious. The waffle fries were excellent. Service was prompt and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. We will come back again when we are in the area.
Upon arrival, we walked into the venue & there was no hostess to greet you. The venue was absolutely empty. We had to wait a few minutes till someone realized we had walked in. The venue was very spacious. Besides not being greeted, our waitress was very nice & attentive. The menu was plentiful & food was very good & well priced.
The all you can eat crab legs were great. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Not a lot of noise which was so nice for me to have a nice conversation with my granddaughter going off to college. I will definitely be back again.
Yes great food and drink selections and fabulous food
This was a return visit to Adagio. It was a much better experience than our last visit. Upon arrival, the staff was setting up for a private party of at least 20 people celebrating what looked like a birthday event. DW and I waited in the entrance to be noticed and seated. It only took a few moments. Drinks were ordered and delivered. We made our dinner choices and the rest of the evening went very well. Rolls, salads, and mains were all back to the quality we had known for so long. We will return again.
We love this place and often bring friends. The food is great, especially the linguini with white clam sauce. Drinks are generous and well-made. The servers are capable, knowledgeable and friendly.
This restaurant was a homerun for us. When our local go to restaurant was unavailable for a reservations, we went online to find some place that we thought would accommodate our needs. How lucky we were to find this diamond! The food was exceptional, the drinks were made to perfection, and our waitress was top-notch. Rest assured, we will be going back to Adagio again in the near future.
Great service and amazing food as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They had excellent seafood and a very nice atmosphere. The service was very courteous as well. We also enjoyed our dessert.
Food was overproced
This is my son and I first time going and I have to say that the food was really good and I am a seafood fanatic. The only thing it was too much barbecue sauce on the wings, but that can be corrected by saying light sauce next time. Yes there will be a next time because there's other food I would like to try. So with that being said adagio we will see you soon. Thanks for everything.
The food was amazing and the place wasn’t too crowded. The unlimited crab legs were a great deal as well as other options on the menu. Will definitely be coming back.
The meal was delicious! The serve staff was attentive but not pushy.
Great menu options and top notch service. Reasonable priced.
Our server greeted us, and didn’t return for 10 minutes. She then took our drink, appetizer and entree orders. Drinks took another 10 minutes, followed immediately by the appetizer. Another 10, then the salad. I was halfway through my salad when the entree arrived. Food was good, service erratic.
There was a birthday party in the next room. Obviously the kids were bored, because they started a gymnastics/dance contest around the corner from our table. Noisy.
Not sure if we would go back based on the service alone.
Our server was great. The appetizers were delicious.
Calamari and tuna bites.
Main course, terrible.
Stuffed flounder. Luke warm and no flavor. Really disappointed. Had a groupon deal for this meal. Didn't raise a stink. I was here some time ago and liked what I had.
Tonight not so good.
Must have been an off night at Adagio. DW and I are usually very happy with our dining experiences at Adagio. This time? Not so much. Our server, Rita, seemed like she had better places to be. Yes, I know it was Easter Sunday eve and the place was basically, empty. Had our choice of tables and took a nice one among the last few diners in attendance. Special drink page was missing so we had to wait for that to come. We ordered our 2 favorites and they were both fine. The muddled strawberry lemonade continually clogged the straw. though. My Vecchio Fashioned was another fine mix. They were out of the Prime Rib special and had no tuna bites. I ordered the Seared Tuna and DW did not have an App. I ordered the Strip Steak with Peppercorn Sauce and wife had the Pesto Salmon. Tuna was fine as were the salads. DW's Salmon was, as usual, done just right. Adagio always has great salmon. My Strip Steak was ordered medium rare, but, sorry to say, arrived medium well to well done. It could have had something to do with it being 1/2 inch thick. The NY strip Steaks at Adagio are usually 1 1/2 inch thick or thicker. When the over-doneness was pointed out to Rita, she stated it was obviously at least cooked medium well. Then her next concern was that she had entered the doneness correctly in her "system". She went away and came back a minute later to say she had entered it correctly so it wasn't her fault. Not a single mention of re-doing it and getting it right. So, I finished what I could of the substandard meat. I'm not a tantrum kind of person. I vote with my desire to return or recommend the restaurant to others. At this point, DW and I were the only patrons left (8:15 pm) and we decided against coffee or desert. Rita brought our check and then disappeared. We left cash and also disappeared. So, all in all, a very disappointing visit with Adagio. Please see our other reviews for how we assess our usual experiences from the past visits. We may return sometime.
Wanted an early dinner and the menu looked attractive so we gave it a try. Big mistake. Literally one waitress working for the entire restaurant so after a 15 minute wait my wife orders fish and chips and I the blackened tuna. The fried cod was an oil soaked mess with the batter falling off the under cooked cod. Worse was the tuna ordered medium. Came with the inside of the steak still frozen. We just left our plates and left. I will never go back and absolutely do not recommend. A McDonald's fish sandwich is far better.
The service waitress was pleasant and very helpful. The restaurant was clean and spacious with low noise. The food was not flavorful.
We've been here several times- the 1st time was very good! Since then, each visit has been progressively worse. The quality, service is going downhill. When we walked in, the place was empty- and this was on a Wed. evening at 6:30, by the time we left, there was only 1 other table occupied- this should tell you something. Its obvious the owner is now focusing on a "bar" trade, rather than the dining room. Our waitress seemed to be preoccupied w/ the computer rather than providing excellent service.
Lovely place, really good food and very pleasant staff. A little more pricey than expected but well worth it in the end.
A hidden gem. The staff was very nice. We had a quiet corner table. Scallops very tender and cooked to perfection.
