   Acre, continues to rise on our list. Our last visit was the best yet. The service was spot on! The food however seemed to take a big step forward! Every dish was simply great. This dinner made our guests trip. They loved the grounds, the drive, the atmosphere. Thank you for a great night, see you soon!

   After hearing so much about this spot we were excited to try it on our last night of vacation! Sadly, we were quite disappointed. The busloads of tourists rolling in, the frantic pace and volume of the large dining area, and the poor service made us feel like we were at a disneyland restaurant. Our server was met with three giant tables of guests in our section after we arrived, so our 2-top, plus the couple next to us, were completely ignored once the big tables came in. Our drink order was forgotten, our check was very delayed in arriving (we asked twice), and our server was stressed out and rushed. We were an afterthought. The wine by the glass was $70 a glass-exorbitantly overpriced. On a positive note, the starters were quite delicious and our dinner entrees were good, but not fabulous. Overall, we left with a $400 bill and a less than positive experience. Maybe Instagram has blown this place up a bit too much??

   What a romantic experience. We stayed in a treehouse and had dinner at the restaurant. It was very enjoyable and we will be back!

    My fiance and I had dinner at Acre last year and had an incredible experience. The manager came over right away and introduced himself, chatted with us, the servers were extremely attentive and accommodating, and the food was really good! It wasn’t my actual birthday during that dinner but they made me feel like it was. I felt so special and loved after leaving that dinner. So this year it was a no brainer to have dinner there for my actual birthday. Prior to arrival, I had been chatting with an Acre reservationist about coming back again for my birthday, and our concierge at our resort also mentioned she made some calls so we were expecting an experience like we had the first time but unfortunately it was sub-par. There was nothing special about our dinner, the service was okay but not anything like our first visit, the food was lacking flavor, and we ended up opting out of the dessert, even with that our waitress didn’t try to incorporate anything birthday related. The best part about our dinner was the dogs of course and the property cat Boots who joined us for some crab cake. Personally, being a foodie and going to many restaurants, putting a little extra effort into guest experience goes such a long way, it honestly doesn’t even take much especially if you know ahead of time your guests are coming to celebrate something special.
