   A hidden gem. We had not tried this restaurant after oliveto closed. We were so pleasantly surprised. The upstairs was super cozy. Service was beyond impeccable. The food was absolutely fantastic. The chef came over and personally asked us if everything was to our liking. We eat out a lot, especially in Oakland and SF. It was absolutely delicious. Whole fish, fantastic, the steak was perfectly done, the fries perfectly salted, crispy and thin. Loved the Strauss ice cream with salt and olive oil. Good job folks. Hope you can maintain as is as you get busier.

   loved everything about this restaurant...except for their recommendation not to park in the Market Hall parking lot, but to park in the Rockridge BART station. Had a lovely dinner in all aspects, only to return to a smashed-in window of the car afterwards. Not the restaurant's responsibility of course, but a real damper on a lovely evening. Why recommend parking there instead of the actual Market Hall parking lot? Bad idea imo. Space and service were flawless, with unusual and welcome spacing between tables, and though full, an ease of hearing conversations at our own table. Portions are generous, salads are lovely and fresh, prawns were perfectly cooked and irresistible, excellent vegetarian main course option. Branzino could have used a bit more attention to the deboning, since having crunchy almonds and crispy rosemary leaves on the plate made for a challenging mouth search for quite a few bones. Interesting cocktail list, and nicely sized dessert. Will definitely return. Much better in all aspects than the previous restaurant (Oliveto's) in this space.

   Fantastic place for a midday lunch! Great ambiance, delicious food. The funghi pizza and the coconut soup were amazing.

   First time trying Acre last night, for my husband’s birthday. Really enjoyed it! The food was great - terrific branzino, great cavatelli pasta with morels, perfectly cooked braised asparagus, and tasty Acre salads with crisp, fresh lettuce! Expensive but worth it for a special meal. The overhead music plus noise from neighboring table conversations made it a bit hard to hear each other talk sometimes, but still a good experience!

   We enjoyed our first time here. The hostess greeted us nicely and or wait staff was pleasant and attentive. Would come again should we be in the area!

   Definitely worth a visit. Food delicious, service great, ambiance and neighborhood interesting. We found starters and plates to share is the way to go. Will go back.

    Restaurant was recommended by someone we met in another neighborhood restaurant so we thought we'd give it a try. Steak was ordered medium rare and was medium to well done. They need to learn how to cook a steak. Appetizer was good. Duck was fine. Ambiance was good. We felt we were being upsold on ordering more food. Disappointing for $200 dinner for 2.
