We made a reservation and when we arrived no one was there to seat us. Once we finally were seated we were given menus and once we decided on what we wanted they came out to inform us the kitchen was closed. There were plenty of people still at the restaurant eating and others arrived after so don't understand why the kitchen was closed. Weird experience.
I was lucky it was not crowded. Bartender was very friendly. I got my food quickly (even too quick) but oh well, it tasted great :)
Overall, great place to watch a game or hangout with friends.
This place is great! It had live music and was perfect for a casual night out! Food was great too!
Food was good, service was okay. Band that played the night we were there was not good - the vocals were way too loud.
For a BBQ restaurant, the food was just okay. I wouldn't seek this place out in the future, but I must say the service was killer. There's better BBQ elsewhere, but if you're not going for that, definitely go for $5 drinks at happy hour and fried pickles.
Generally unimpressed with the quality of the food. Service was iffy.
So good. Go for brunch and get the cheese grits, they are amazing! The portion size will fill you up and leave plenty leftover.
Food was excellent as always! The cheddar grits are my fav! The service left a lot to be desired. Typically the service is great so I hope this doesn't become a trend.
I love this. Nice for gathering with friends, date night and good food. Also has awesome local musicians and artists performing on First Fridays
Too many negatives to list from the FOH- no Host and bartender was very rude!
Manger Danika saved the day by her pleasant deposition, good energy & can do spirit.
However, food and table service was up to par.
The waitress and service was amazing. Went for Sunday brunch. The mimosas were a big hit, but the food there was bad. Looked great, but majority of my 14 party table left over half of the plate full. Chicken sandwich and shrimp n grits were the stars. Omlette had no taste, many items were burnt. Home fries were an epic fail.
Great service, nice staff! Food was very good.
Several friends and I visited Acre 121 to listen to a friend and his band play. It was the first time for all of us. We all agreed we would come again. The dinner portions were huge! Everyone was talking about the Mac & Cheese (although I loved the sauteed spinach more). I'm not much of a drinker but one of the ladies at our table was drinking a hot cider with rum which smelled out of this world. No one in our group was disappointed by their food but there really was too much of it. Next time I would either share an entree or have an appetizer (and then maybe a dessert!). Service was a bit lacking. There appeared to only be one guy working all the tables. That being said he remained friendly and helpful once you could get his attention.
My friend and I really enjoyed hanging out here, catching up and watching the game. What stood out most was the quality of service. There was always someone to check on us to see how we were doing. I like the laid-back, yet attentive, style of the restaurant. You could come here to relax with a friend or bring family in for a dinner. When we left, the heated indoor patio area made us think that we could have had dinner in there. Take advantage of that spot when it's cold.
I had the shrimp po boy sandwich, the taste was bland, the drinks were great and prices were great
We was there for a Seahawks game. We had the nachos.
We will be back for more Seahawks games. We drove 65 miles to get here
Always the best place to watch the seahawls
Can't say whether they have good food or service. Went for a small bite and beer but it smelled like a toilet, decided to go to another place.
I enjoyed the day party that was hosted there but my friends and I were disappointed with the food. Our food arrived to the table lukewarm and my friend's waffles were hard as bricks. The quality was not equivalent to the amount paid. The mimosas were good.
Excellent place, I enjoyed the meals and the service was outstanding
Went for Sunday brunch. My date & I both had the bottomless mimosas (I had pineapple & he had grapefruit), French toast, side of scrambled eggs w/cheddar, and a side of fruit. Everything was delicious! I would definitely go back.
WENT ON A SUNDAY FOR BRUNCH... CALM ENVIRONMENT NOT MANY PEOPLE AT ALL! ALTHOUGH WE WERE RIGHT IN THE OPEN WE WERE ABLE TO FEEL SOME SORT OF PRIVACY. OLD-TIME FEEL BECAUSE OF THE DECOR. REASONABLY PRICED FOODS AND IT'S GOOD! POSSIBLY WILL BE BACK FOR ANOTHER MEAL! RECOMMENDED.
Brunch is excellent!
This was a great venue with goid food & good service. The live music was great & we even had space to dance. Great time!
The beef brisket sandwich is heavenly!
I wish the Mac n cheese was creamier or maybe cheesier? It was pretty bland, which was disappointing.
Overall I enjoyed the dining experience and would definitely eat there again!
The main meals were described better than they tasted. The appetizers were poorly described. I was under the impression that I was going to get in-house pickles but it was more so spicy than pickled. Now I like spicy food but the "pickles" we're too much, also don't think you're getting cucumbers pickled, in this mini glass you get an array of veggies including jalapeños that they consider pickled. The bartender girl was nice ad she felt bad, that the food wasn't pleasing, so she offered a free dessert. Of the two options, we chose their peach pie, (which was three empanadas with peaches cooked like apples would be for apple pie, and a small scope of ice cream with caramel sauce); the dessert was okay, nothing to write home about. The only reason they get two stars instead of one is because of the bartender girl and some of the appetizers were really good, except for the "pickled" portion. All in all I don't think I'd be returning to Art and Soul to dine.
A friend and I choose this resturant because the menu appeared to be appealing for resturant week. We both ordered resturant week menu a starter entree and desert. Additionally, we ordered drinks from the bar through our waiter. Our first course comes out. We both eat and talk then notice that our drinks never came and our waiter was MIA. So I get up and head towards the bar and run into our waiter and asked him about our drinks. He apologized and goes to the bar to get them -more time passed before we receive our drinks and second course. The drinks finally arrive there was something in my glass so that had to be replace. The waiter was gracious and apologized for the drinks and took them off the check. Now for the second
Course of dinner; my friend and I were excited to try the BBQ combination platter we both ordered the brisket and another meat. First it arrives with no BBQ sauce in sight. Second, the brisket was a small piece of dry meat thinly sliced and placed under my chicken. We had to find our waiter and ask where the BBQ sauce was which later came later in little cups. We finished what we could of our entrees and waited up to an half later for our dessert to arrive, I should mention we received no water and all of our previous empty dishes were left on the table for us to manuver around and eat. In short, the service was polite but extremely slow and not attentive. The food was not very good. We concluded we wouldn't return here another meal.
While the atmosphere and service at Acre 121 were good, the food was incredibly sub-par and expensive for what we were served. I'm not a picky eater, I don't like to complain, and I didn't have many expectations when I came to the restaurant. However, it was clear that most of the food had been prepared earlier and had simply been reheated, although some of it was still completely cold. I should have known about the quality of the restaurant, because the place was almost completely empty on a Friday night, apart from some tourists who had wandered in. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, but I will absolutely not be returning here.
Apps took 31min to come... 7min later our entrees came out. Oh, and the apps were terrible!!!! Our crab cakes looked like burnt silver dollar pancakes.
No one came to check up on us until it was time to present the check. Just awful!!!
Unfortunately we weren't able to dine at this establishment because on the night we were there, one of the weight staff called out and there was only two people working the place.
Very slow service
It took a very long time to get the food!!
when we got there it was loud, but after the pre-season games ended we were the only people in the entire restaurant which had me worried. but, the food was good overall.
The food was ok. The wait staff could have made the experience better.
Took my parents here for brunch as their menu looked good - was not disappointed!
I was a bit hesitant to come here as I notice it is often not super busy here, but I was pleasantly surprised. My dad took BBQ sandwich, mom an omelette and myself a brisket benedict. Additionally I had a pineapple mimosa and mom a bloody mary. NO ONE was disappointed. We had great service and we could also see that staff were getting along well and joking with each other which was nice to see. My only one negatives was their air freshener (too strong), and the kitchen would not do just egg whites (for my healthy father).
There are a lot of places to eat in Columbia Heights, but I would def come back here.
Great food! Everything was amazing !
We came for brunch a few months ago. We were so impressed with everything that we came back for our 4th wedding anniversary. Invited the bridal party and now the now what the fuss is about.
Great food, great staff! Very good, not crowded place for brunch. Bottomless mimosas were a hit!!!!!
Went with a couple friends to drunch. The bottomless mimosas we're $18 (a bit on the pricier side) but they make up for it with freely flowing mimosas of a few different varieties. They deliver the mimosas in a half-carafe so you can continue refilling yourself. My group tried the classic orange, pineapple, and grapefruit (didn't try cranberry). All were tasty and great to mix.
Food was tasty. I got the Crab Cake Benedict and it was a pretty health portion. The home-fries left something to be desired though.
I can handle dry brisket or grainy mac and cheese or the world's worst live band, but throwing all three at us on one trip is pretty hard to forgive.
