Acqua Restaurant NYC
We offer an extensive Raw Bar menu, seafood antipasti, primi and famous hand-made pasta. A bright, open, warm atmosphere welcomes you inside the restaurant and takes you straight to Margellina in Naples.
With big windows, old wooden floors, simple furnishing and vintage wooden tables and chairs, Acqua is the perfect place for enjoying authentic Italian food and premium wines.
The wine list features a premium selection of red and white wines from every region of Italy. Outstanding cuisine, warm service, and phenomenal wine programs – all in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Awesome food, great location.
The menu was expansive and the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. It took a very long time to get our main course and one dish came out a full fifteen minutes after the other people were served. No one came over to see how we were doing and/or apologize for the wait. I expect a great deal more from any restaurant, but particularly one in this price range.
Favorite neighborhood place
Excellent food and attentive service. It was our first time trying this restaurant, but my wife and I discussed it after word and we will most certainly come back.
the food is excellent. They have a great variety of beef, chicken, pasta and seafood. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food and nice atmosphere. Order from them but glad that I went to see the restaurant in person. Will definitely go back.
If you want to eat real Italian food come here.
Acqua is our new favorite nyc restaurant! Great food, great wine, great service. Highly recommend the squid ink spaghetti and the seafood stew. We can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the city!
Love the Brunch! Recommend the Waffles! Service was excellent, pleasant and accommodating.
A group of us were going to a concert at Pier 17 and wanted to grab a bite beforehand. Knowing the area would be slammed, I reserved the only table I could get a reservation for. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, they knew we had limited time and helped us get in and out so we weren’t late.
The oyster were tasty and cleaned very well. I had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly, however the bed of lentils were ok & didn’t really look that appetizing. Wine was great.
Inside restaurant looked like it needed so updates, as well as the bathroom, which was a tiny unisex stall for the entire restaurant.
Great experience very friendly staff, foos was delicious!
We had an early brunch. Food and service were very good. Would return.
Amazing spot! Loved the style of the restaurant and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. The food was very delicious! Will definitely come back.
Acqua is a unique spot at South Street Seaport. The service is professional, efficient, and friendly. The food is outstanding - the seafood is fresh, and the pastas are cooked to al dente perfection. Good wine list, excellent cocktails, and a slew of tasty after dinner drinks and digestives. Highly recommended.
Horrible acoustics. Not able to carry a conversation. Waiter inattentive. Got salad two seconds after ordered, before drinks. Food ok.
Fabulous food. Attentive wait staff. Small & quaint restaurant in a nice location in NYC.
Service was great, drinks were good, food was good. Was a great date night spot.
Acqua is a wonderful restaurant featuring seafood, fresh pastas, and pizza. Great food, wonderful cocktails, good wine list.
Excellent eggplant parm, and gluten free! Many choices are noted as gf. Service was very good. We’ll return, particularly since we live nearby.
One thing I noticed on the check was the suggested tip amount calculations were based on the total including tax, not the food, drink alone. I pointed this out to the manager who said it was the system. I told him that was a setting that he could control. I’ve noticed this in other restaurants, but the majority get it right.
Lack of toilets let down this restaurant fortunately we were not sitting by the queue waiting to go to the toilets.
Nice place in a great part of NYC
My diet is vegan/gluten free I also have allergies to garlic. I had pasta, greens and salad. My meal was perfect and wholesome. They also have a great selection of wines. I had a great time with my best friend catching up on life & enjoying great food & ambiance. The service was amazing, very accomodating. The restaurant is clean, cozy feeling yet spacious we sat by the large windows with fresh flowers on a vase nicely placed on the window sill next to us. Had a wonderful time can't wait to go back!
It's a pretty space, but the acoustics are terrible, even with the place half to two-thirds full. Maybe sitting at bar would be better, which would be a shame since the leather dining chairs are actually comfortable. Service was excellent, the food itself somewhat uneven and under seasoned. Overall, if in the area, it's fine, but don't go out of your way.
Too loud inside, but delightful outside. The staff was all terrific. Food was delicious. Go for the tiramisu-skip the chocolate mousse.
Love this Italian restaurant. Good food ( bruschetta! Pizza tartufata! ) . Very nice team and manager!
Nothing remarkable about our dining experience at Aqua. Not somewhere I will return to.
Love the menu and the location. My dinner was delicious. It was a beautiful day and the staff were all present, in the moment, courteous and skilled.
With a plethora of restaurants in New York City, I feel like this restaurant could up their game by speedier service, a more attentive staff, and more importantly having the food be of good quality.
I’m mixed about out experience. We had a reservation and were kept waiting 30 minutes. There were tables available but they told us to wait at the bar - actually suggested we eat there instead. The owner/manager told us to order a drink on the house while we waited. I don’t drink but encouraged my son to do so. He actually wanted to leave because he felt we were being treated badly but relented and ordered one. After waiting 30 minutes and seeing several large parties leave i finally had to remind the manager that we were there and still waiting. As we left the bar area to go to our table the bar tender charged my son $15 for his drink. One he did not even wNr to order and never would have had a free drink not been offered. The food was excellent and our waiter was sweet but the restaurant is very loud and The Who incident with the wait, the drink and generally being treated as inconsequential patrons ruined the experience.
Expensive for what it was.
Very noisy - difficult to hear each other.
Food was very good and interesting combinations. Noise was very difficult.
Acqua feels like a Michelin-graded restaurant. From the freshly baked bread (divine) to the fresh pasta (Linguine con Vongole shaved with bottarga) and the gorgeous presentations, it's our favorite Italian restaurant in the city. Maximo, its chef, is ever present. The waitstaff have a very good sense of humor. It's fun getting there by ferry because it's just a :10 minute walk on those beautiful cobblestones from the pier.
Very romantic, good food and excellent service. I only wish the restaurant faced the river. The food is a bit on the pricey side.
Amazing food and awesome ambiance. Authentic Italian food.
Great restaurant in the seaport area we had a lovely meal in the sunshine great service loved it
The food was amazing. Our server was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Kept our teenage guest entertained. We will definitely be going back.
Gluten free pizza and pasta options are great. But wish they served gluten free bread in the bread basket.
Came here for brunch, have lived in financial district for 2 years and this has never popped up as a place to go - I wish I had known about this sooner!
Brunch unlimited cocktails is $17 and it’s a classy place! Service was amazing, the waiters/waitresses couldn’t do enough. Food was good - could probably do with more brunch options but the food was solid.
Will definately come back again!
