Acqua E' Farina
Food & service was great! The tiramisu was delicious!
Excellent food and great sdervice. Consistently good.
We were seated immediately. Our drinks and food were delivered in a timely manner. Out server(s) were exceptional; friendly and knowledgeable. It looks like a cute, small restaurant but actually has private rooms for groups. The walls were painted as a small village in Italy. It reminded me of being there. While we were there for lunch we will definitely return for a dinner meal!
Excellent service and food. The risotto and fettuccine were a hit at the table. I do wish they would offer gluten free pasta. There are not many options for gluten free.
Had a wonderful dinner at Aqua E’ Farina. Service was excellent and food came out in a timely manner. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Made a reservation and was seated right away. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good Italian restaurant.
The vegetable with my salmon was cabbage---yuk---first time in a restaurant anywhere in 60 years where they think that is a common vegetable that everyone likes-----Paul Russo
I was confused by the waiter on Valentine’s Day.
I thought I was getting a deal dinner for 2 Entrée, dessert and two glasses of wine for $70 it turned out to be $70 per person and we never got our two wines glasses waiter kind push for that and I was very disappointed.
Also my wife’s steak wasn’t cooked the way she wanted it.
Overall a tiny salad, steak and tiny desert not worth $70 in my opinion.
I have no problem paying for a great dinner experience but I definitely wasn’t impressed this time.
Wonderful servers& owners! Table next to us was unusually loud
The service was spot on and the appetizers were presented in a nice and delectable way. The entree’s were nice and hot and prepared the way we are accustomed to having in other five star restaurants in the city. We will definitely return and will be sure to tell all of are friends and family.
The food was good, as it always is. The service, for some reason was not up to par.
Best calamari fritti anywhere! Salads and soups are generous enough to be main courses for many diners.
One of our favorite spots -- we always leave happy -- great food reasonably priced and this time we were celebrating a birthday and we even got a candle and song --- We will be back !!
All the staff were attentive and welcoming. They knew the menu items well and were happy to answer questions. Wait time for food was reasonable, and the food was attractive and delicious. I have been here several times and always enjoyed myself, as did the people I have dined with.
This place never disappoints. The quality of the food, the service are all excellent. This has been our go-to place for special events for years.
Food fantastic, staff professional, ambiance special. Great time with someone special, excellent !
Great food!! A little noisy though
Birthday celebration. Food and service was great. I indicated we were celebrating a birthday but they did not do any candle or anything.
Love their fresh made, warm breads. Good food, portions and value. Definitely one of my new favorites for Italian food in the area.
As usual, EXCELLENT food and TOP NOTCH service. The only concern I have is that it is very noisy. Not sure what they can do to mitigate this, but this is not a place to visit for its ambience, rather for its wonderful food and service.
AEF is a classy old Italian restaurant with wonderful food and service. We particularly appreciate that tables are not jammed in tightly, but there is room to breathe.
The food was good. The dressing on the wedge salad is a bit watered down but passable. The wait staff was pleasant. However, the last two times we have eaten here, the kitchen was very slow. Our reservation was for 7 and our entrees, after our long wait for the salad, were brought at 8:20. The restaurant was half full so that wasn't the reason. I hope the kitchen problem is fixed soon.
I was a little disappointed dining here based on the ratings this restaurant received. I order the daily special frutti de mare and it was full of fish pieces and not much of other seafood. I don't ever recall having a frutti de mare with fish before. However, it's a cute restaurant with Italian store front murals on walls and the lasagna was delicious.
I love this place! The food is always very good! The service is also good! Highly recommend it!
We always enjoy
6pm reservations. Arrived 20 minutes early and were seated just before 6 pm
Did not realize they had a limited menu for New Years Eve. It would have been nice if they had the full menu. We miss the clam chowder as they only have it on Friday/weekend.
Wedge salad was good.
Appetizer coating on calamari could have been a little crispier. We did like that they were large pieces and very tender.
Pasta dishes were very good.
Noise level was very low, however it really increased as more people arrived. It was New Years Eve and all were in a good mood.
Right now this is our go to Italian restaurant.
Great friendly staff.
I can’t begin to explain how wonderful amazing and delicious This restaurant is from the time you walk in and greeted the time you walk out pure 100% fantastic the food the food was amazing the food was so fresh and taste from the appetizer to the desserts nothing tasted fake nothing tasted frozen everything cooked to perfection truly amazing I am so excited to go back
What a delightful surprise to find such a charming restaurant in Hayward ! They need a larger sign outside, but other than that, we were very pleased with the overall dining experience. They offer a full bar and a reasonably priced menu with some excellent choices. Looking forward to going back again !
Meal felt a bit rushed and the presentation of food could have been better. Portions were generous.
I don't head to Hayward very often and needed to meet a friend at a half-way location for a Holiday lunch. Searched online to find a nice little place in Hayward and didn't find a lot of choices that sounded like it had decent non-chain-type food. Acqua R' Farina had some good local press and so we tried it.
Good choice! It is a vintage 50's-70's-looking spot with mostly Italian traditional food and attentive wait staff.
Food was delish- split a Salmon Salad and Risotto con Salsiccia (sausage, mushrooms, onions in a light tomato sauce) and perfect Expresso & Capuchino. Many families and friends celebrating a holiday lunch- a very sweet atmosphere. Very reasonable prices!
Took my friend to Acqua E’ Farina for her birthday. She loves Italian food so decided to take her here. First off the food is amazing! From the complementary bread to the delicious calamari and polenta. It’s to die for! Our server was very knowledgeable and gave us a few recommendations on the special. Overall the experience was amazing and the food was impeccable. Highly recommend.
Ii had their special seafood plate .it was the best trout I’ve had.
We all had Cowboy steak special it was very good ! The service is always excellent and this visit was no exception our waitress has a great personality and had us laughing through out dinner
Delicious Italian standards with a special flare. Vegetarians very happy
Mushroom polenta extraordinary! Nice night out.
I have not eaten at Acqua E Farina for at least three years. I did not know that they had remodeled the rest of the restaurant and had expanded. The remodel is absolutely stunning and the entire restaurant is beautiful inside. I brought two friends with me who had never eaten there before and they loved it. The service and the food were just as excellent as they were the last time I ate there. We shared several small plates of appetizers. Each of us had the outstanding Caesar salad.
The delicious bread basket comes to the table fresh from the oven, toasty warm. One friend ordered the seafood pasta and was just delighted with it. She also commented on The quality of the food considering that they have managed to keep the price is very reasonable compared with other Italian restaurants of comparable quality. Aqua y Farina is a great place to go anytime but particularly special during the holidays, so festive. Thank you chefs and staff for a wonderful dining experience.
Gem of a restaurant in Hayward. Authentic Italian at phenomenally inexpensive prices.
Food was authentic and very delicious! I look forward to coming back soon.
Good food, excellent service! The bread was fresh and soft. The water service provided by Jesus was timely. Chelsea our server was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. The food was delicious and the coffee and cappuccino were excellent. Will be back!
Been there 30plus times---getting tooo noisy to even talk to those at your own table---terrible . Paul and Sarah Russo
We can't understand where the 5 star reviews come from. The noise level is not acceptable. The cleanliness is not up to standards (sticky oil/vinegar cruets on the table. Restroom not clean enough). The food was not the best Italian food I've had and not what we expect for the price point.
