The food as always was excellent. The service however was not up to Acqua’s usual standards.
Restaurant has taken no precautions to protect customers from coronavirus. No hand sanitizer available, tables have salt and pepper, oil and other stuff on them that are not cleaned after each guest. Cleaning person using the same rag to wipe down tables one after the other. No sanitation of tables or chairs. Not a good place to go during a pandemic.
My rating on service was four stars. The main reason was I felt our service was not happy being there that afternoon. Not once was there a smile or to check on our table. Overall everything else was fine.
This is a beautiful restaurant with pleasant service an a menu that offers something for everyone! If your group has a variety of food preferences, each is certain to find something desirable at this establishment.
We would recommend acqua only because of the food and the value of the three course dinner. Service was non-existent. Our server virtually forgot about us after he took our orders.
I have been a fan of this place for years, always make a point o go there when I am in town and always introduce new people to it.
My visit this week was not impressive. Food was just OK, I had the pannini with ham, turkey and swiss. The bread was barely toasted and there was hardly any filling inside the sandwich. I would not order it again.
Service was just OK, I have had better at this restaurant.
The place was barely half full, and I am used to it being packed. Maybe something is going on here. It would be a shame. It is a great location with a menu with something for everyone. My experience this week makes me want to explore new spots.
My visit to Rancho Mirage / Palm Springs was when the Coronovirus outbreak was becoming more worrying, so the restaurant was nearly empty, but food was very good and service too.
At best a very mediocre restaurant that happens to have a good location. Sadly, it isn’t any better than its sister restaurant , Lulus in Palm Springs. The 3 course menu seems to be its fascination with people that eat there but the food is simply fair. It’s bland and some things were overcooked. It’s staff is pleasant but I will not return to this restaurant or Lulus. These restaurants are really nothing more than tourist traps. The locals know much better places to go for a good meal. You may ask- why did I go in the first place? I wish I had a good answer but I guess I was hoping they upped their game since the last time I went. They have not.
Service was terrible and there weren't that many people there. The waiter ordered the wrong entree for two of the four of us. A bottle of wine we ordered sat on a countertop for 20 minutes. Food is always pretty reliable though.
Had a reservation for Sunday Brunch. Seated promptly at a perfect table on the patio. Food was very good but the service was unbelievably slow. Everything, and I mean everything, took forever. Our brunch took two hours to complete. Thank goodness we were not in any hurry and it was a beautiful Sunday so we could enjoy sitting outside by the water.
Overall everything is wonderful. Every time we choose to dine there, the food is excellent and the service great. We will eat there again and after ten years of experiencing their ambiance; who would not.
We went here for a quiet early dinner. The seafood pasta and the Tilapia dish were both delicious. The only improvement would be for us to sit outdoors but that was not available in our time frame.
Love the patio! The food and service was a perfect 10!
I ordered roasted chicken and it was very dry
I loved all of the options, and how they had a full vegan and separate gluten free menu. There is something for everyone here, even the pickiest of eaters. Our salads were fresh, the soup was homemade and delicious. In fact, I loved my salad so much I attempted to recreate it at home ( arugula + lemon vinaigrette + chickpeas + goat cheese + beets = delicious). We enjoyed our entrees and dessert too.
We enjoyed our meal on the patio. Our server, Melina (Mel) was very attentive and made sure our every need was met. We’ll be back.
A very pleasant dining experience. Food, service and value were top notch.
The service was probably the worst we ever had. Huge delay in every aspect- first drink, placing food order, getting the bill, etc. The appetizers that we ordered were “forgotten,” the entrees were barely passable, then had to remind the waiter, who consistently had an aloof and neglectful attitude, to please bring the desserts that were ordered, and to please bring the bill. Odd, since the outdoor patio was by no means full of patrons. We will not ever dine there again.
Always happy to take guests for meals... Never disapointed
Lovely outdoor setting; good food, good value. Would go again.
Everything was great except waitress charge me to much tried to void it then had my card credit card lock up. This was not only embarrassing to my wife and I but we had guests with us which was extremely embarrassing to my wife and I as it looked like we had no monies to pay for our dinner.
This is our "go-to" restaurant when we have out of town guests. Always super service and a great menu.
Out-of-town guests were delighted with the expansive menu and the interior style. They will want to repeat the experience on their next visit!
Nice outdoor dining; good food; outstanding service; great price (3 course for $20).
Overall- very good.
My guests loved the brunch and the outside area we dined in. Everyone was happy and the ambiance is great by the water on a beautiful Sunday.
Pork chop was very tender and flavorful. Linguine Alfredo was also good. Tasty chocolate cake but the slice of strawberry included was bad. The staff should pay more attention to what they put on a plate.
Perfect place to eat and enjoy the afternoon on the patio. Food is good and not overly priced.
Wonderful menu, good food and prompt friendly service.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends!
We had a lovely quiet dinner next to the pond.
Everything about this place was mediocre. The food, the service and the ambiance
The service was so poor.
My granddaughter’s pizza order wasn’t put it.
So consequently came late to the table.
Three of the six people were served their food a good 15 minutes before the others.
Hubby and I had Lobster rolls and Lobster Quesadillas. Friends had Fish and chips. Our Lobster tasted like crabmeat. Nothing to rave about. I had a Lemon Drop Martini. The service was amazing. The food was below average . The view and ambiance was above average
We recently returned to the Palm Desert to vacation after a few years absence and had always a nice experience at this restaurant. However, this visit was extremely disappointing. It took quite a while to order and then receive our drinks and then some time to order our meal which we indicated that we wanted it timed appropriately (appetizer, soup, and then entree). After waiting another lengthy period, the appetizers and soup came out at the same time followed within 2 mi utes of our entrees. We sent the entrees back and when they were returned to our table, they had obviously just been placed under a heat lamp which ruined two of the four dinners at our table by becoming overcooked, dry and tough. We never received an apology and our waiter failed to return to our table during the meal other than to drop off the check. Needless to say, we will not return and would encourage others not to waste their time and money at this restaurant either. There are many other quality dining locations to choose from.
We sat on the patio with friends and with our little dog. Our server and other staff were great! Food was delicious, of course. It was nice to sit outside in the beautiful weather.
While I enjoy their normal multi course meals, the valentines day service was more than disappointing.
To begin, the soup which was a large part of my decision to make a reservation was unavailable for the later diners, myself included.
While trying to maneuver plates around the table, my glass fell over leaving a rather sizeable pile of ice on the table. My waitress made regular glances at the piles of melting ice every time she passed, without making a comment about it.
By the time dessert came around, the ice was gone, completely soaking the 3x3 tablecloth where we were seated at.
Our waitress also neglected to offer the champagne which was supposed to be offered until we asked about it halfway through dessert.
On top of the service there was a 20% non-optional tip, that was far from deserved by our waitress, which made the already slightly disappointing event that much more irksome.
Again, the food was good, but i wont be reserving for an event like that again. And will be sticking to normal dinner service instead.
Great evening with friends on Valentine’s Day. Food was very good and service perfect
