This was an amazing place with a tasty variety for their happy hour as well as their main menu. There patio is also lively. The fried chicken and cod are great options.
The restaurant was super cute and had a nice patio! My husband and I came here for date night and tried an appetizer and 2 different entrees. The wings were over cooked and dry and our main entrees took forever to come out and once they did, they were both cold. The prices were a bit high for what you get. Overall it was just ok, nothing special.
Playground was very cool for the little one and was the main reason we picked this place. We had an unfortunate experience because a very large party (16 people) had ordered right in front of us and we had to wait for an hour or more to get our food. They made it mostly right by buying our drinks and the food was good. We had our little kiddo with us, so it was pretty stressful and although it was a memorable meal, it wasn't for the right reasons. Service was really good except for the wait for food and the food was solid.
Overall it was amazing! There is a kids playground (really fro kids 6 and under) and almost the whole menu is gluten free! I have celiac and am very sensitive to gluten and all menu options have a gluten free choice-even the bread and fried chicken! All done with rice flour! The gluten free biscuits were amazing! I got the prime rib hash and the portion was huge and very flavorful.
Really great atmosphere as well with a great outdoor patio and outdoor walk up bar area as well as plenty of regular seating inside.
Highly recommend this for kids and people with celiac.
I was hopeful for this place that was listed as a "family friend" spot in Denver but unfortunately we found that far from the truth. The hostess was less than thrilled to see children when we arrived. When we sat down we were handed a list with over TWENTY rules to follow for using the outdoor play space for kids. It was asinine and insulting to be micromanaged for an underwhelming play center. It deepened my suspicion that children are indeed not actually welcome. Service was mediocre at best with our waitress impatient as my older children placed their order and we waited almost as long for the food as we did for our first cocktail to arrive. So in all I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as a family stop!!!!
Service was pleasant but slow.
I understand this is a new restaurant but they were understaffed and the food was underwhelming. Took way too long to get our food and drinks. The server was overwhelmed and it was evident.
Awesome staff, great food, pleasant experience.
Great place. We have been three different times and the food and cocktails are always spot on.
Great food, even if you aren't gluten free. If you need gluten free food, the owner has Celiac so they know what to do. Fabulous fries, and 4 out of 6 desserts are gluten free, even the chocolate torte, and heavenly berry cobbler!
It was great!
Fabulous ambiance and food! Outside deck with misters for staying cool. Inside has great tables and booths, and the Sunday brunch was awesome!
I went with a party of 8, and the service was amazing. The food was delicious, and the make your own coffee and Bloody Mary bars were a hit. I personally was a big fan of the $5 ‘double’ (... triple!) mimosa.
Good food, great staff
Great ambience and their patio is great. As it got busier we saw less and less of our waitress. Aperol Spritz were flat. Overall just a good experience.
An excellent evening and meal at Acova. Delighted to find so many tasty gluten free options!
Good, reliable food. Only ding is that the calamari was overcooked -- it was a bit rubbery.
Great experience with getting our reservation in for brunch on OpenTable. The playground was great as we got there a bit earlier than expected. Bloody bar was on point. Daughter loved the chicken fingers. Highly suggest the Tamale Hash!
Brunch was delicious! Acova has a great outdoor space for young children.
Amazing food, very good quality atmosphere, quick Service, Betsy is the best!!!
Fun atmosphere. Good happy hour. A little pricey for dinner entrees, and it was a little annoying that you can't get a coffee with your meal (other than an americano) just because they are next to a coffee shop. Service was great! I didn't like the apple donuts... they were really bland. My French dip was yummy though, and my mother in law really liked the cauliflower steak.
Went here for Barb’s 30th. Service and food outstanding! It’s not a quiet place and the acoustics are not great. Hard to hear server. Overall really amazing place.
Acova has become my favorite restaurant. As a person with celiac disease, it’s freeing to be able to go out to eat there without worry about limited options or concern for cross contamination. We’ve been there several times and the staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and the food is always perfectly cooked and delicious (gf fish and chips are my absolute fav!). Acova also has one of the most variety of gluten free dessert options of any celiac friendly restaurant I’ve been to over the last four years.
Acova was amazing! The food was cooked to perfection and the ambiance was perfect both kids and adults. Excellent place!
We had visited this site literally for decades when it was Patsy's, an iconic Italian place first opened in 1921. We were stunned at how nice the décor was an how they have embraced a couple of the old Patsy's classic dishes. The ambiance and personality of Acova was beyond expectations and our discussion with one of the owners, Betsy, was wonderful as she described their passion for making Acova the "nest" for folks to come to for a dependable meal. the outside patio was very nice as was the open air bar.
They specialize in a gluten free menu that had my wife thrilled as it is really hard to find a high end dinner place that truly understands the limitations of celiac/gluten free diet. The fried chicken, spaghetti and fish and chips, all totally gluten free were well received by our table.
Love the atmosphere - especially the patio, and the food was great. Had a strange interaction with our server over him charging us for a mistake he made - but other than that we had a nice time and will be back.
This is a great spot for happy hour and maybe appetizers. We were in for lunch and the food was just ok. The ambience is nice and open, so we were able to enjoy indoor seating with an outside feel.
The service really was amazing, it actually is perfect for kids too if they're under 8 probably.
Very slow service. Almost 25 minutes to get a drink, only 1 bartender. The waitress didn’t even know how to open our bottle of wine. Nice patio, but packed with children, and some screaming. Had I know that there was a play area there, we would have chose to be seated inside.
Great for happy hour. Lots of good GF choices! Potato cakes and tacos are fantastic.
Best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had! My husband had the cauliflower steak and he said it was absolutely delicious as well. Excited to go back and try their happy hour.
This place was great to give to before a play at the Bug Theater right across the street. We sat outside at the community table for a large group and it was great. The only downside was that the overhead sprinklers went on and they were a little too strong for my liking but it was nice if you you really needed to cool off and you weren't headed out for the night.
Birthday - the food was subpar at best. I had to send mine back and we came there for my birthday. I will not be back as the restaurant has slipped in the food quality.
Great service. Good food and drinks. Plenty of options.
Went for my hubby's birthday. We had a great server (there when we needed her, but not hovering) and the ambiance was hip without the over the top trendy we see over on this end of town! Honey stung fried chicken and their wings are amazing. I didn't care as much for the fish and chips, but my son got them as well and he adored them, so it is probably just personal preference. Lots of GF and vegetarian options.
Food was amazing and service was phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back soon!
Great spot to go and eat with kids. Very casual. Great service. Awesome play area for kids but must have parent in area at all
Times which was a little disappointing given we had a table in the patio 5 yards from the play area and could easily see the kids but had to stand over with them. Great happy hour!
Best kid-friendly patio in all of Denver! It’s the only brunch place we can bring our 2-year-old since they have the wonderful outdoor play area!
Great neighborhood spot. Great lay out and decor. Nice looking patio. Food was great!
Food was solid but not heavenly
Server was cordial and helpful
Nice to have one free bloody mary on Father's Day.....great touch
Hip/funky setting with excellent people watching
